Hi All,we have got some problem with NX when the WorkgroupManager is on line.Once the connection server is online NX lost the key to use Manufacturing Part.The NX properties are ignored about NX Manufacturing template. Template for part, assembly and drawing are ok. We lost only template for Manufacturing template Any ideas about it?Best regardsGianpaolo

Our company is using Windchill 12.0.2.10, SolidWorks 2020. According to PTC TS, SolidWorks design library feature is not supported in the current or newer versions of Windchill Workgroup Manager. After inserting a standard component into the assembly by drag and drop, and then saving the assembly to the workspace, Windchill does not recognize this standard component as a CAD document, only as a ghost file. Someone has raised the same issue in the link below, but I can't see an improvement.Solved: Solidworks Design Library with Windchill - PTC Community We have an workaround as mentioned below, but we still hope PTC R&D team will consider implementing this feature in the future, just like toolbox. 1. in Windchill, upload all standard component to a shared library 2. in SolidWorks, add Windchill File System location as a Design Library, such as C:\Users\User Name\Documents\PTC Places\Commonspace\Libraries\Library Name\Standard Component  

how can I choose which attribute has to propagate their values from upstream to downstream? I have few attributes those not propagate their value. where can I find the properties? Many thanks 

Windchill strings are limited to 500 characters.  A locked constraint.  How do you increase the string length to 750 or given another option for a larger String when defining a new attribute?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.7The Part Classification default Value shows in the New Part Wizard but not in the Edit Wizard. In the Edit Wizard, the Attributes Values are all Blank, while the same Attributes populate correctly in the New Part Wizard.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.0Uploading any file will result in an error that a file of the same name already exists in the vault. Reseeding sequence value as shown here:https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS374128did not work. When the CAD workers are installed in a separate VM. Is it necessary to have internet access on the VMs where CAD workers are running?

In a clustered methodserver environment, I would like to assign a unique name as a JVM option for each methodserver.When loading the APM Java agent and sending data to the collection server, the name needs to be unique.Is there a name that refers to the node name of the methodserver?

PTC has a well documented (Tech Support Articles) on how to integrate Windchill with an on-premise Microsoft Active Directory Server.  What needs to Change in Apach Auth Files, Command to update Apache, Site.xconf, Windchill JNDI  Adapter.  What Values are needed.   I am investigating, researching  and eventually documenting the procedure to use a common Web Based AD.  Its my education for the summer.   But I do not see any coordinated Document for connecting to a Web Based Active Directory.   Q: Is it the Same?  (Assuming going to use LDAPS and Port 636, to Encrypt Passwords)  Would anyone be willing to send documentation if they have done so?  Or just explain if it is no different and you set up same as Microsoft ADS.   Next Understanding SSO (Single Sign on)  with a CAD to Microsoft Azure being the Identity Provider to the CAS(Authroization Server); as different but the Articles from PTC focus on ThingWorks integr

I have tried to resolve this with CS370256 but we are stuck at this point.

Currently only internal users using Windchill application. We are planning to give access to External Users through B2B setup. Hence I enabled SSO. Also I enabled Basic authentication for local ldap users.After this Creo View , Windchill Server registration in Creo and WGM(Solid works) not working for basic authentication URL - https://<server>/basicLogin.html Any advise? Thanks in advance

We are looking at the requirement of managing large number of Products (in hundreds).The requirement is to change the team members assigned to different roles easily without having to edit the team in each product. The Shared teams provides this functionality.I want to understand if there are any downsides of using shared teams across large number of projects.For example - Performance issues, ACL related challenges etc. Thanks.Ravi 

Team Rehost from Prod to QA server: dump/restore the Oracle DB Oracle expdp: we explored through the options with help in stackoverflow etc, and we probably got a good dump.  We copy the dump file to the QA server. Oracle impdp: we suspect that we need to drop tables before doing the impdp.  What do we need to drop? Or can we just do impdp, counting on it to overwrite the old Windchill db contents?    Alternate solution: would RMAN be a good tool to do this? cheers -- Rick

We have to create an Product Specification document (WTDocument Subytpe). This will have about 40 attributes. Wanted to know if there is a recommended limit on maximum number of attributes (Local or Global) which can be added to an object. Looking from the point of view of search and other performance issues. Also, we will be adding cascading attribute constraints to control the selection of the values. I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.3There is no efficient means of creating Parts (wt.part.WTParts) from existing WTDocuments that will be the describing document of the Part and have similar attributes. For example, when creating a part, there is a checkbox at the bottom called "Create CAD Document" which allows the user to create a CAD Document (wt.epm.EPMDocument) with the same Number, Name, File Name, and Version as the Part. This creates the Part and CAD Document at the same time with same relevant attributes.We want a similar function but for already existing WTDocuments and creating a Part with using the attributes within the WTDocument. For example, we would want users to go into the related objects tab of the WTDocument, click on "Associate New" in the Describes Parts table, and have the new "New Part" window appear with as much attributes from the WTDocument as possible. Team Is it possible to GET OData data from within JSP code? Calling to some Java interface within WRS, so I can pass in some OData parameters and receive the Windchill data.   The JSP code is invoked after user authentication, so I would not want to be re-authenticating in the call to WRS.
