Installing Windchill 12.1.1. I'm trying to use the Mssql database, but I get that error even though all of the above information is correct. I want to know why. If you select New Database and enter the above information, there is no problem.      

Dear Community, When we create any reference in EPM Documents, let's say we reference Part A in Drawing B and check-in both objects, we can see the reference in the related objects tab in Windchill. So far so good. When we now iterate Drawing B and replace Part A with Part B, we can still see the reference in Part A to the older iteration of the drawing. Which is technically true, but quite confusing for the users, as they just removed this reference. Do you know if there any option to only show latest versions of refernces (similar to the where used tab for WT-Parts)? Thanks in advance for any answer or hint and BRCHENAMA

Hitting a brick wall here so wondering if what PTC is recommending is my only solution. I have my doc worker setup as a service (worker daemon), logon as a system account. All office files publish fine except for Visio. You get the "doc2pv Fatal: Received signal 22, terminating" message. If I log into the CAD worker as myself and start the worker in foreground, it publishes Visio just fine. https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS387941?source=search indicates you need to run the worker in foreground mode and refers to this article to setup: https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS93677 Changing to allow interaction with desktop did not change things. Anything else I can try without resorting to the elaborate steps in CS93677? Has anyone gotten this to work in background? The notes on security issues are giving me pause.

Hi, I prepared a report in which I will control the promotion flow of documents.In the report, I try to track which users cast which votes throughout the promotion process and see activities that have not been voted on yet. However, when I report the voting status I can only see those that have been voted.Do I have a chance to bring those who haven't voted here?

Is there a method to enable non org admin users the ability to edit org based ECN Templates.  Context managers can see all org ECN templates from the Product > Templates link; but are unable to edit the templates.  Looking for an easy way to enable edit by context managers. --Kirk Wemple

Hello Windchill Experts We have a Windchill 12.0.2.0 environment and we handle 3 CAD systems in it.All drawings are published as HPGL and PDF (PDFs available under "default" representation under files - see screenshot). We set up SOLR indexing and it is working so far good with all the DB fields.PDF indexing is also working for WTdocuments OOTB.Indexing Creo data could be activated through native data but with the other systems this doesn't help.  We are strugling with the published PDF content - I do not find anything in the documentation.In a indexed search webinar FELCO mentioned that indexing is also possible for additional CAD systems through published PDFs. Does anyone can give us a guidance how we can solve that? Thank you Marc

This is regarding article CS241241. In one of our usecase, we had to increase the propertie TreeChildNodeFetchTimeout from 1800000 ms to 5400000 ms. Do we have to check some others software parameters or physical configuration to avoird any issue, like any memory leaks ? What are the consequences of such change. I am using Windchill PDM Link Release 11.1 M020-CPS16. When I create a Part with the "New Part" button, at the bottom there a option to create a CAD Document. Number and Name are automatically set on the CAD Document Tab. Although, I have Attribute1, which on Type and Managemente Attribute has the same internal name for WTPart and EPM Document, that is not being set. My question is, is there a preference or way to set this attribute on my wizard? Or this functionality will need a customization?

They asked for Product Manager role membership at first but we would first like to see if this is a permission that can be granted granularly rather than giving the full role membership. I have already researched this and found that it cannot be done due to this functionality being hard coded into the Product/Project/Library Manager roles and the Site/Org Administrator groups and is not on the list of available actions in the "Configure Actions for Roles" app in context Team management. However I've read an article that seems to suggest that it can be done in Windchill 12.1.
