In Windchill 10.1 import BOM from spreadsheet all displayed validation successed and performed the import. But the outcome is BOM has not been created, and the Failed message send you later. Why the failed notification didn't appear in validation stage ?

Hello Everyone, I'm currently working on integrating MuleSoft with PTC Windchill, and I've encountered a perplexing error that has me stumped. Despite thorough troubleshooting, I haven't been able to identify the root cause.The error seems to be occurring during data transmission between MuleSoft and Windchill.I've reviewed the documentation for both systems, but I'm still struggling to pinpoint the issue. I have created Gathering part by mistake. Now I want to convert this into WTPart. But it is not showing any option while checkout and edit. What is the solution? I want to use that same part number.

Hi,   So I haven't been able to try WGM connection with Illustrate 7.0 but I did try it with Direct Link and I have the exact same experience as @tmenadue who mentioned in their topic, Extremely slow response time when browsing through the folders.   I'm now upgraded to the latest stable versions of both WC and Creo Illustrate and now only Direct Link is available (gonna try it tomorrow but I don't expect it to behave differently). Can anyone describe their experience with DL and c3di management via DL? When ECN is processed does a change signal come through in some way pointing at the files which need an update (linked files)? Are they searchable and can be open from within Windchill or does it always require of us to search manually inside Creo Illustrate. browsing the folder structure? 

Hello Community,We experienced something wrong with Windchill DTI :A user revised an Excel document (.xlsm) to version B, and tried to open it with Excel, but nothing works : the file opened is still A.20 (the last iteration). At first I suspected an issue with local files, but reproduced the problem with another account and computer with an empty cache.We also tried to revise the document from Excel but it did not change anything : it was still version A in Excel, even if version B was created in Windchill. I don't know if this is in any way related to the problem but in file history one can see changes in the file name and extension, sometimes "*.xlsm" and then "* (1).xls"..... I don't have much more to give as informations, I hope this will be enough... Any idea what can be the cause of such a weird behavior? Thank you in advance!    

If reviewer of the drawing document file wants to sign, is there any option in windchill to stamp (Sign) the document file after reviewing the drawing ?   Please help with the answer.

Is there a way to create a PM Structure in excel, then upload the DMs into the Information Structure in Windchill?  This would bypass having to right click > insert new > insert new document a 100 times. Thanks Dan

Hello All,We have used RepHelper.loadRepresentation API in WC 11 and working fine but now in WC 12+ it is no more supported or not working as per expectations, can you guys please suggest an alternative way for this method. WC - 12.0,12.1   

We are cleaning up things from a company domain change. All emails changed from "@oldname.org" to "newname.org". We are running 12.0.2.8 with OpenDJ as the user LDAP. It was a fairly simple change to update the email addresses in the LDAP. I exported the DB to an ldif, did a mass replace for that email domain and reimported. I verified with the control panel that change was correct, emails domains were updated.   Issue comes with Windchill where the old email is still shown. No problem as I figured this was a caching issue. PTC has a number of articles on this. Hello Community,I have recently installed Windchill 11.1 on my development environment and need to expose CAD Data to ThingWorx Navigate. In which I am using following Odata endpoints in windchill to achieve this : 1) Get /Windchill/servlet/odata/Visualization/Representations('OR:wt.viewmarkup.DerivedImage:786687')/PTC.Visualization.GetPVZ(IncludeAnnotations=true,Fidelity='Low Fidelity') Here, returned data is downloadable and I am not able to view it on browser. Also, I have enable WebGL on my browser to render such files.  Kindly, let me know what could be an alternative to directly view CAD data on browser.   Best Regards,Sid 

I have a requirement to provide a method of cloning/duplicating an existing problem report for purposes of dividing the original listed problems into separate problem reports. Ideally, we would clone the Problem Report (maybe multiple times) and update the problem descriptions accordingly.I've seen the ability to clone CAD objects (Save As) within Windchill but no such capability for any other object types. Does someone have suggestions on how I could meet this requirement?We are using Release 12.0.2.12 with PLMlink 12.0.2.7.     

Hi all, I'm still new to causing mayhem in PDMLink, but....I wanted to test the Design Review feature on an item (WTPart for example), and it all works fine as admin, but as a Regular Joe with decent access in a Product, I get an access error.I've checked the ACL, it's set up OoTB (see attached pic). AFAIK, no good help to be found from PTC pages such as this one. Note, Windchill is v. 12.0.2 over here, not 12.1., if that's possibly relevant as it may be according to CS340005..

Hi Everyone, I am using the below steps to fledged the attributes in "My Task Tab" to find the who is created a promotion request. That user name get from Custom Table. I want same like this to get a some attributes from EPM/WT. For example i want the EPM Document object which i get into Promotion request that object state view in my task.1. Go to Site > Utilities > Types and attributes - Create an Alias attribute in the Type "Work Item" named "Requester of the Promotion"2. Anyone using publish.copyrepresentationsforward.part.restrict=false in their wvs.properties file?   The default value for this property is to be the same as publish.copyrepresentationsforward.restrict, which is how it is set in my system.   When wt.parts with CAD associations are iterated in the commonspace, a new representation is not created upon check in. This leaves many wt.parts w/o a representation due to the attribute, structure, replacement or link changes in Windchill that are not associated with the CAD application.   I could schedule a publish job for the various containers, but I am curious if anyone is using this setting and having success with it? It sounds like the right solution, but I am always hesitant to change a property w/o testing and some confirmation from others. Dear community, We have a case, that a user used references within Creo for hole postions in Part B from Part A. When he now wants to create a copy of Part B, Windchill always wants to also create a copy of Part A. I have a feeling this should be preference which can be set, that the system does create a third part (call it Part C) which is a copy of Part B including the references to Part A. Do you know of such a preference or how to handle such a case? Thanks in advance and BRCHENAMA

Hello Gurus'I am using Windchill PDMLink 10.1 M040 and DOORS 9.3.I am able to install the DOORS adapter successfully. Successfully, because, I am able to execute an example I*E query for all projects-->modules-->requirements and get the output.But still I am not getting a link in Windchill to link my WTParts / EPMDocuments to my requirements in DOORS.Any ideas, what am I missing?Thanks in advance....Ravin

Currently, my setting in Preference Management for "Set Revision for Part" is set to No (I am looking to change this). With this setting, a user could create a CAD object and check it in without creating the WTPart. If after some time passes, and the user creates the WTPart, can the WTPart version be set to equal that of the CAD object. I've done some searching on this topic and cannot seem to find how this could be done. Up to now users have checked out the WTPart, and checked it back in until they have the alignment. I am looking for the process to do this without doing the checkout/checkin multiple times.
