Hi All,I want to list out all Soft types of WTDocumnet by using Windchill API's.I have created few soft types from type and attribute manager, now my requirement is to show all the soft types of WTDocumnet in a list by using API.My soft types from type and attribute manager as shown here,Kindly let me know the related API for this.Thanks,Vivek

I am in the process of testing revaulting in Windchill 11.1 m020 cps28.  I started on cps08 and there was no Cancel button.  So I upgraded my different Windchill servers to cps28.  The first one I tested the revaulting with, the Cancel button showed up.  With the second one, the Cancel button is still missing.  I have tried clearing my browser cache and different browsers but no fortune.  Anybody have any ideas?  I opened a tech support case but it is out of date. ACL has been created with modify identity access  for WTParts in all lifecycle states. But user is not able to rename at Eng hold state/reviewed/underreview states.

Hello I am trying to get the total number of members of a WTGroup in Windchill via code, so the sum of all users in a group and all its subgroups. Actually I need to check if the group size is bigger than a specified limit. I tried to use .members() but it always fails with a PrincipalRepairFailedException error (Cannot process user because a related disconnected participant exists in the database). I have tried using OrganizationServicesHelper.members() or group.members() but it all leads to the same error. Does anyone know how to solve this issue. I do not need to know the user names and attributes, I just need to find the total amount or if the member amount of a group is greater than a specified limit. Best regards

I would like to replicate the OOTB Save As feature. The purpose is to get the custom attributes value from Users for populating new name/number/filename through custom wizard.Using EnterpriseHelper.service.saveCopy(oldepm,newepm) helps me achieve half of the requirement. The problem here is while opening the newly created 2D Drawing in Authoring Application, it throws pop-up message like this new 2D still referring the old 3D Model. In OOTB save as, it does that from Windchill itself.    

Hello, working in PTC Creo with Windchil the most often error while checking in is parts/assemblies that hasn't had modelcheck status True while checking in. How to perform modelcheck on this parts? Yes, I can do it manually by finding and opening each part one by one, but how to collet all this items and perform modelcheck on all of them at once?  There is one big assembly that I want to check in. When i perform modelchek on whole assembly I do it this way for interactive modelcheck:It collects all the model which is active in this particular assembly. But sometimes there are suppressed models/assemblies that modelcheck doesn't collect and at the end result it can't check anythin in.  Thank you in advance.   

Hi all, During our test of SFTPExtension extension, we noted that it is possible to call the extension from a javascript service regardless the time we spend in the extension. We never got a script timeout. Can someone explain why and how it works ? Thanks for your help. Cyril.

As our vault size grows, and our backups take longer and longer, we have decided to give purge a try. So far it’s not going that well. The problem can be replicated by creating a purge collection rule, as followsSingle product (all the data is isolated in the product)All foldersAll object typesNo restriction on versions to keepWhen we run a purge job using this rule, some items are purged. Yes, we use baselines and promotions so I’m not expecting just the latest to remain, but I’m really surprised by how much stuff remains. In many cases no version of objects are purged at all. I find it strange for such a purge to results in <10% data removal. So strange that we ran another purge job using the same collection rule (i.e. on the same product data that had already been purged). Additional items were purged, which were not removed on the previous job. We can repeat this process many times, and on each subsequent job more items are purged, albeit a reducing number each time.Surely all t

I have creo assembly,In which  A.prt file is present two times.Then do we need to create two separate Wtpart and associate them with .prt files.or else What i should do. Thanks in advance Vipul     

I have a context that I want in work WTobjects to have full control by designers, but released WTobjects to be restricted. When I add permissions to give WTobjects with an "in work" state, users in the designer role can check out but not check-in. If I right check permissions on the files, designers have full control but upon check-in get the error below. Any ideas on what would cause this? "ATTENTION:  Secured Action. You do not have the necessary authorization for this operation. Contact your administrator if you believe you have received this message in error."

There are two sub-tupe models from Creo Cabling for harness and flat harness. But values of attribute Document Subcategory are empty in Windchill after checked in. I want to use "Disallow Structure CAD Document Sub-types" in Preference Management via these values but I can't because they are empty. Why values of Document Subcategory are empty in windchill for these models?

Dear sir   I  have  one doubt regarding wtpart structure and CAD assembly from creo.   I have one assembly in creo. Which have an repeatative part eg. screw a.prt ( with Qty:10).    Ii am creating the wtpart structure manually in windchill. Change Activity has Two TasksTask ATask B Task A - is Sent to a Role that is populated by a Group of 4 People.One of them accepts and completes the Task. Task B - Currently goes to all 4 People again. Would like Task B to go to the Person who completed Task A. My assumption is that we should be able to add Transition Code at the end of Task A that populates a Role for participant for Task B? Brian

Working to clear out old data and getting this error which trips up delete: Object "Baseline Member - wt.vc.baseline.BaselineMember:1170052405" references the object "Assembly  - xxxxxx.asm, A.2" that was removed from the system.Object "Baseline Member - wt.vc.baseline.BaselineMember:1170052354" references the object "Assembly  - xxxxxx.asm, -.4" that was removed from the system. I queried these rows and the EPMCheckPoint that it references does not exist. Goes back to 2017 and there are about 175 rows all with the same EPMCheckPoint IDA2A2.  It looks to me this is a workspace baseline that no longer exists but for some reason, it did not clean up the member links. I did not see a WinDU to clean these up. I understand that BaselineMembers could be used for other things like Managed Baselines and Promotio

For that, we need to have representations for all items in our system.Anyhow, we have lots of items  without a representation (couple of thousands), especially vendor components.Is there a simple way of creating (rule-based) publishing jobs for these items? Best regardsMartin

Good day,one of my tasks as ThingWorx-Admin is to move user from "available member" to "member" in an user group.Important: The username needs to have only lowercase letters to fit to the corresponding AD-group. As soon as a user logs-in with uppercase letters or misspelles the username, a new "available user" is generated. It's getting messy already, so I would like to delete all these accounts. Is that possible? Kind regardsMartin

Hi All,We just switched to WC 9.1 m040. Since then my modelcheck stopped working - I had to disable it. We had configured gatekeeper back in WC8.0 and it had been working fine till now. When we switched to 9.1 we started getting checkin failed with "ModelCHECK failed on model(s) in the context " and "Incorrect set of config files used on ModelCHECK in the context ".I have a call opened with PTC- their respond is to make sure the syntax is correct and no additional characters in the definition of ModelCHECK Configuration pref in WC. That has been checked...Anybody else seen this? What is the solution?Thank you in advance,Dmitry

Hello,   I see this topic is 10 years old, but as I have exactly the same need, and found no solution.   I would like to grant a role from us, design project leader, rights to control the task deadlines, so that notifications are sent on the target dates. Often he does now know a realistic target date, when assigning tasks.   Unfortunately this is not possible without a customization.
