Hi, We have done some lifecycle changes in windchill. Those objects which were checked out before lifecycle changes, couldn't be check-in. When trying to check in the rollback failure happens.(Attached the MS log extract).New objects can be checked-in without failure.We suggested users to do below steps to get back their data. Suggestion to users:If the changes are small, users can 'Undo checkout', and re-create the changes.If the changes are huge, please follow the below steps.Take backup of your cache folder (From C:\Users\<UserID>\Creo\.creo\.cache2008\Production)Using the 'WC cache recovery tool', retrieve those objects from cache folders.In the workspace, Undo Checkout of those objectsCheck out those objects in the same window.Open the objects in Creo, and use the data from retrieval objects to override the changes.Save & Check-in Please advise if you have any other better idea to fix the issue by admin/ by users. I see how to select PDM Essentials and software version on the PTC Support website but it appears to be showing information that is not applicable to PDM Essentials. Specifically, the Assembly Mode attribute is not required to be defined when creating a new part. How do I filter out all PDMLink and non-PDM Essentials information, or where can I go to get information only on PDM Essentials?

Hello, We want to introduce the extended positioning assemblies method in the company. I configured the Windchill and Creo template and it works fine with brand new data. My question is that how we can apply this new method for existing assemblies. We have used Windchill for several years so we have millions assemlby objects in released state. I don't want to check out or revise any assmblies.My plan was that:I created a global string attribute (XPOSASSY_STR) and added to EPDM document type. The default value was empty. I created a new Creo assembliy with one part. The .asm did not contain the XPOSASSY_STR parameter. I checked in the assembly. The info page contains XPOSASSY_STR empty attribute but the CADWorker generated a normal assembly representation. I repeated the test but the new Creo assembly contained the XPOSASSY_STR parameter and I got extended positioning attribute. So empty string attribute of object did not work fine if the CAD

Dear PTC,please add the function "Forced Update" to Windchill Workspace. A function that actually updates from Commonspace to Workspace. A clear logic overwrite function from Commonspace to Workspace. Like it was in Intralink.Please do not suggest to me, to use "Add to Workspace" or to change settings or whatever. This is a 'jumbo' field which concatenates Role, filename, Type, Name, CAGE, Rev, and something else. We want a simple filename field.
