Hi all, LifeCycleHelper.service.allStates() and The method addMiniInfo(NmOid, String) from the type IconComponent is deprecated. Can any of you suggest alternate APIs for the same. Thanks.

Currently, we have a requirement of the automatic update of the Active directory group from the Windchill in a define timeline for ex. once in a day.The update is happening when we are clearing the cache for the group or restarting of the environment but not on automatic way.

Does anyone have simple code that can go in the Transitions portion that will stop the activity to be completed if a user selects themselves as an approver for a role?  I have a simple workflow but I do not want users choosing themselves as the checker of the work.  Currently I am on Windchill 11.1.  A quick search didn't turn up anything on this subject, but I thought that there have been previous posts.

We are in process of implementing SUMA module and we have requirement to know the possibility. In PSB and AML/AVL table, we can display Manufacturing/Vendor Parts from single Sourcing Context only but my functional analyst requirement is to show Mfg/Vendor parts from multiple sourcing contexts (Can be selectable in view). Is this possible by any configuration?  I can show by introducing new table builder in a different tab.. but not sure how can we achieve this in PSB. Whenever running "windchill wt.load.LoadFromFile" option the Layout of all subtypes are disappearing

ProjectLink is fulfilling the user needs, but not IT security requirements. To fullfill the IT sequrity requirements, Projectlink webserver has to be placed in the DMZ.The communication between the webserver and the application has to be restricted and encrypted. Confession. At our company we use revisions as non interchangeable changes. We have different product lines using the same part at different rev's.We are planning to roll-out the use of multiple views of the part (BOM) for engineering and manufacturing.Engineering uses "As Designed" view of the part and part structure.Manufacturing will use the "Staged" view of the part and part structure.Out problem:We use a baseline to capture the given revision configuration of the structure that is released to manufacturing. That will result in a downstream Staged equivalence being created someplace in the rev scheme for each part.Part 1234 Rev C (As Designed) has downstream quivalance

Is there anyway to pull the latest assignment from a user on a particular assignment using java? Currently, I'm working on a report that displays the votes of each user that has been assigned an assignment. However, when it get's re-subrouted, the code I have currently does not know which vote was the latest so it will display "old" votes. I'm currently working on code that attempts to find the latest timestamp of an assignment's creation and use it but even that's becoming messy.

Hello all, I have a tricky one, we (our customer) needs to find a way to do the following: Save as copy From Creo (filename generated in creo dialogue)Edit filename in Creo save-as dialogueAssign sequence generated number on upload, retain edited filenameIn this scenario we (our customer) is working "filename centric", so the filename is very important, the number has no significance other than uniqueness. What happeneing at the moment: Save as copy From Creo (filename generated in creo dialogue)Edit filename in Creo save-as dialogueUpload or checkin and upload, Number is set to the new filename, generated number is disgarded. From what I can see, when auto-numbering from Creo is enabled, the File New or Save-as actions will pull a number from the sequence and assign it to the filename of the Creo file in client side workspace, then upon upload the filename is mapped to the Number, so when we (our customer) is editing the filename before upload it will always be inh

Hi,   Do anyone aware how to check the primary content extension of document, where document is created and processed only  if the primary content is of .ppt or .pptx extension or to throw a exception saying to upload the PrimaryContent as .ppt or .pptx extension and proceed with Document Creation through Workflow, Instead of any customization of FormProcessor's.   Thanks in Advance

I have an account called publisher administrator. On my publisher server, i am running Creo Parametric 7 and it uses this account but I am not sure what its for. I have a saved password in the browser cache so i dont have to remember the pw but when I did an upgrade the cache password disappeared so I will need to reset the account password. Does anyone use a publisher administrator account and if you do what is it for? Any consequences in setting  a new pw?I am on Windchill PDM link 11.1 CPS 20.

As per this thread , same issue. Hey!   It's been 5 years since this reply, and I'd like to learn more about Windchill customization.   I'd like to create custom endpoints for Windchill's REST API. Are there any updates, documentation, guides, or videos for that?    Thanks.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why Windchill still uses Internet Explorer for its default embedded browser? Last I checked, IE is more or less obsolete with limited support. I know you can change the browser, but just thought it was strange IE is still the default.
