Hello,   I have a requirement where I need to introduce some information about the document in the ESI response file. Since the information which I want to introduce are not document attributes modifying esimetaInfo file is not an option. Greetings. I know that in the past Office 365  caused problems with the Workgroup Manager for Inventor, such that we had to turn off the "Files on Demand" feature in OneDrive settings.  Does this new Document Management feature in WC 12 solve this problem?James Windchill 11.0 Inventor 2019

Hello admins, hard to find answers to what I lack basics of,   we’re running Windchill 11.1 M020 CPS13 on a vmware virtual server with Win Server 2012 R2, RAM 8GB. When Windchill services are running the memory consumption is about 7,0GB of which about 2,5 is “Large Page” without reference to any specific file or process. Java.exes take about 2,1 GB which I think is expected. When Windchill related service are stopped the Large page disappears. What is this related to?

Hi, Kindly guide whether it is possible to Autogenerate PDF from windchill drawing after each promotion request of a part number .PDF has to be stored to a server (Not in Windchill) where production can retrieve it. we are using windchill 2.0 windchill ,windchill projectlink 11.2.1.0. Thanks    

PTC is not supporting Windchill integration with AutoCad P&ID.    We would like to exchange data between AutoCad P&ID and Windchill. Idea is to do a data export from AutoCad P&ID and create wtParts with metadata (using parts classification) and Bill of Materials in Windchill.   We are looking for companies investigating simular functionality and/or having experience realisation this data exchange. Please share your experience and/or solutions.   

Hello,   I have a requirement where I need to disable a specific option from the users to select in a change task. I want to get my head around post publishing additional files for a couple of use cases where we want to capture STEP, pdf and STL data in a WTDocument. I have got the basics of the postpublishing working, when I publish a CAD document it will create the step file, attach it to the representation then create a WTDocument and attach the same Step file, its iterating the WTDocument whenever I publish the EPMDoc, not sure if that is expected. But Im not seeing any link between the EPMDoc, the WTPart or the WTDocument, the WVS monitor log shows the published content link being created, but I dont see any kind of link between the newly created/iterated WTDoc and the EPMDoc. I'm trying to get batch printing set up.  My preference screen looks like below   What the help window shows is the added batch print option.   Does anyone know how to use this.  I've gotten the feeling PTC is pretty useless and my last meeting with them was a waste of time.      

Hello, I have a CAD assembly which have part (bom) builded via compare cad to part (upstream view).The downstream view of my bom created with MAPSB have parts placed here (drag and drop). I can see 2 trypes of indicators for componants :  double green V => Equivalent occurrence existseye crossed out in red => Equivalent occurrence information has not been retrieved I see that the second indicator only appears when I do the same action from a sub-bom (part with components). Downstream view of that part is well droped in the downstream bom but the occurence status is set to "Equivalent occurrence information has not been retrieved" see printscreen attached. I'd like to know which action makes it possible to retrieve the information of the occurrence link between upstream to downstream for that case. (Update status of equivalence link don't solve the problem) Regards,Arnaud

I started working with Creo 4.0 at a new company without Windchill being configured correctly. Already some 3D parts were made and saved in the local (windchill) workspace.   After a few days the Windchill server location was changed and I lost all my 3D parts and assemblies.   Is there any way to recover these files? It was about a week work, so that would be nice.   Thank you in advance.

Starting with Windchill 12.0.1.0 (December 2020 release), packaging and delivery of Windchill DS is discontinued (remove). My company uses AutoDesk (Inventor & AutoCAD) products and PTC (Creo) products. For AutoCAD we use the Workgroup Manager and sometimes we get an error during usage that shows below. I can't trace the source of why it is happening. It basically blocks all the information for saving from AutoCAD once this error is shown to the user. Has anyone else see this? You can delete the local Windchill folder and re-setup the connection for the Workgroup Manager to the CAD tools, however, the user always ends up losing work because of this.

Hello,   I want to implement business rules functionality to validate some of the rules for the objects. All the articles I find online refers to the implementation of OOTB validations and some of the article clearly states what are BusinessRule, BusinessRuleSet and BusinessRuleLink but no article explains where I need to add my validation logic. Please provide your suggestions if you have implemented custom business rules for a specific custom validation.   Example: I want to get the upstream view of the resulting object and throw conflict if upstream was not available.   Thanks, Sha

Good afternoon, I have a question about the ThingWorx server installation with SSL. If I choose wthout SSL option(only http) it works, but with SSL, in the end of the installation, I get a error:"A Problem occurred during installation that may cause an unsuccessful installation foundation installation failed" I tried to configure the JAVA_HOME environment variable and to open the 8443 but unsuccessful. I wanted to used Thingworx extensions MQTT to published data when properties value change which is binded from the remote/local thing,then my mqtt client can receive the change value. My mqtt client can receive data when I using the 'Set value of property' in the thing 'Properties and Alerts',but no message publish when properties change with the 'Manage Bindings'.How to trigged the publish function when properties change with the binding values.

Hi All,   Can anyone let me know how to set the ECR to resolved programmatically even if one ECN is resolved and others are Cancelled?   I checked on the code within the Synch on Change Notice Implementation where it has a code like below  .WorkflowProcessHelper.isRelatedChildrenInStates( primaryBusinessObject,new String[]{"RESOLVED"})) {result = "Resolved";}     So what if there are multiple ECN where few are resolved and few are cancelled and how to make sure that ECR is resolved even if one ECN is Resolved. Can we modify the code? If yes can someone provide their leads here?

Hello,   I have a requirement where I need to develop a web service using Rest APIs where I need to get the acknowledgement from the downstream system on the objects I have transferred. I have done the same using SOAP but now I have to do the same using REST. Since I do not have very much experience on REST, any suggestion would be very helpful.   Process followed for SOAP based web service: i) Write bean classes with the attributes which I expect the downstream system to send. ii) Write an xml with the bean classes as inputs and call a method in the said xml. iii) Go to http://"Windchill URL"/RPC to generated the wsdl. iv) Register the task on Task Delegate Administration. iv) Provide the wsdl to the other interface.   Thanks, Sha

Currently in 9.1 and previous versions, there was a restriction onpurging iterations if it was the iteration from which a new view versionwas created. This presents a problem when you have to fix things andwant to remove a component from the system. You would have to deletethe new view version, purge then recreate the new view version. Hasthis been changed in 10.0? I am sure development would state there isan integrity reason for this block but I cannot see the use case. Sayyou have a BOM and CAD assembly and you make a new view version at somepoint. Then before release you decide to remove a component from theassembly and you so the same to the new view version. If you later wantto delete that component, since its no longer used in any currentiteration, you have to do a purge of the WTPart history. OK but it doesa partial purge since the iteration that created the new view versioncannot be removed. Therefore, the component you want to remove isblocked from deletion. I am wondering if
