Hello All,   I have to restrict Secondary content from becoming part of Zip file which is created  in Package. OOTB " Externally Distributable" Flag is present, but it only considering for Primary Content, not for Secondary Content. Is any one know how to restrict Secondary content as well by using this flag.   Steps to reproduce - 1. Create Package 2. Add WTDocument to it, WTDocument having Primary and Secondary Content. 3. Create Delivery for Package, From Delivery create Zip file for Delivery, this Zip file will content Primary as well as Secondary content.   Here how to restrict /control  Secondary content from becoming part of this Zip file.   Regards, Vivek

PTC.ProdMgmt.GetBOM?$expand=Components($expand=Part;$levels=max)   GetBOM action takes only 1-10 levels as input to "levels", and max is 10. Is there any possibility we can customize the maximum level allowed? EX: can I see BOM structure for 18 levels using the following POST request. Hello,   we developed scripts using WindchillConnector template services. Those worked fine with connecting to Windchill and getting data publishing on twx mashups.   Later I came across WindchillSwaggerConnector template. The REST API features seems to be powerful.   So I got few questions. Could you clarify these please ?   1. Why two templates with same " Windchill connection" feature ? reason ?2. Which template should be used in a long run project ? 3. Is there any framework or sample  present to refer on "how to use WindchillSwaggerConnector" more efficiently ?   Many Thanks!Rajesh

Hi there, I would be enable the advanced search for empty and single wildcard (*). The Windchill documentation states that this can be done by setting the property com.ptc.windchill.enterprise.search.advancesearch.enableEmptySearch to true.   I am used to edit settings with the xconfmanager tool. The command   xconfmanager -s com.ptc.windchill.enterpise.search.advancesearch.enableEmptySearch=true -t codebase\wt.properties -p failed with this error message: 0 [main] ERROR com.ptc.windchill.structconf.StructConfManager - Extra unrecognized arguments: "com.ptc.windchill.enterprise.search.advancesearch.enableEmptySearch=trueá -t"," codebase\wt.properties -p" So my question is: How do I properly set this option in wt.properties.xconf?   And how can I revert the changes?   Thank you in advance for your comments.   Kind regards Petra    

Greetings.   Currently, my task is to research various capabilities with Windchill. One question that has presented itself is the ability to save documents locally (outside of Windchill). For example, a book file that contains references to other files and images.   - How does one save this file and all its dependencies as XML and save it locally (Windows 7)? Thank you

I'm rehosting from production to development.  The production server has replica vaults.  Is there a way to disable the replica vaults on the development system prior to rehosting, not using Windchill interface to do it?     Here's the problem that just occurred.  Data was copied from production to dev on Friday. Weekend maintenance restarted dev and production.  Dev was still pointing to the production replica vaults and the when production was restarted it failed to restart because it thought there was an additional cluster (dev windchill system not rehosted).  One thought was to disable services from being started on the dev server, but this does not keep an admin from manually starting windchill. 

Hi,I have one asm file which has only two dependent part files... I got these three cad data files from user who had no windchill access and just created files locally..I have registered server in creo and opened that ASM file from local dial.. I performed default check in for ASM file... This resulted into check in of all three cad data (parts and asm) due to dependency...Here is my concern now... When I checked into ASM related objects, I could not find part files... How to have parts as related objects for an assembly file ?

So far, I have not found that PTC has informed its customers exactly where (what third-party) text was being sent to for spell checking in Windchill.  I believe customers have a right to know when their data is being sent to an outside party, the details of to whom the data is sent.

Hopefully someone can assist. In our previous version of WGM 11.0 our users were able to move and resize action boxes to whatever monitor they wanted and resize them they way they want and it would save the location and size. This is no longer the case with 11.1. Whenever an action box is opened it is automatically put in the top left of monitor 1 unlike previous versions we were able to move them to monitor 2 and once done with them it would save that location and when it was brought up again would appear in the same location it was left. Is this possible in 11.1 M020?

Hello, I have a Windchill query-object which is returning the exception size has exceeded the limit of 200000. I updated the limit to 400000 then I got the result which strangely counts less then 200000. Then I tryed to add paging to the query but got this exception: Exception message: com.ptc.core.command.common.CommandException: (wt.pom.pomResource/22) wt.pds.PartialResultException: Search results size has exceeded the limit set by the System Administrator.Nested exception is: (wt.pom.pomResource/22) wt.pds.PartialResultException: Search results size has exceeded the limit set by the System Administrator.   Could you please help? I am having a Windchill error when I try to access the database.  The PTC logo comes up but then it times out and says "Service Unavailable".  The Windchill database is on a server and I am accessing from my PC.  We recently had a new security router installed and the IP addresses were changed.  I think this could be part of the issue but I can't find where to fix it.  If I go to the Apache server name in my browser I get the "It Works!" message.  But the log files in Windchill show the method server is not connecting.  I don't know how to fix this.  I have updated the httpd.conf file in the Apache setup folder to show the new IP but it didn't help.   Can someone please help?

Has anyone ever seen the attached error?I am deploying Windchill Intralink 9.1 M060 to a few test users. (not production yet)One user is seeing this error when opening or interacting with every Windchill page. No one else affected.However, it is only happening within the embedded browser within Pro/E (Wildfire 3 M240).No problems in a standalone browser (Internect Explorer 7).Regardless of how the user responds (Yes/No) the page is incomplete/incorrect.For example: No workspaces are listed even though some were created by the user in the standalone browser.Gerry

Is it possible to create a subtype of wt.doc.WTDocumentDependencyLink? I could not found the wt.doc.WTDocumentDependencyLink in Type and attribute management in Windchill 11.0 M20 CPS16. I want to add some more attribute (IBA) on this link by creating its subtypes.   Thank you in advance.

On our BOM we need to indicate filling pressure for tyres, so it can be used to generate work instructions and service manuals etc. For a given wheel and tyre combination the filling pressure might change depending on which product it is used on, so we want to treat it like oil, water or grease and add 1 usage of 'COMPRESSED AIR' to the EBOM and indicate quantity of 'COMPRESSED AIR' in psi or bar. Is it possible to create a custom unit for pressure?

We have this issue with CAD represented parts which do not have representation, is there anyway, out of a full vehicle BOM, to determine which parts are missing representations so we can set about fixing them?    

We currently run with PDMLink for all of our Creo and AutoCAD documents, and recently we have implemented this for all of our words documents related to manufacturing, ie paint procedures, test procedures etc. Templates within Windchill are not set up for our organisation, and this cannot be changed. So for word documents, I have created a number of standard word templates and used the DocProperties that are mapped via Desktop Integration to windchill properties. Upon loading the document in to Winchill, these DocProperties update and fill out the required fields. This is working perfectly.   I would like to recreate this for excel format documents. Just a front sheet will do, so that we have a visual recognition of document numbers etc when they are issued for production to our workshop and external suppliers. However, I only seem to be able to insert these attributes once the document has been loaded in to Windchill. This means each time, the user would need to re-insert these a

Hi all   I am using Windchill 11.1 M010   While creating a new document, I want to choose an existing (Windchill user) for the value of an attribute like "Reviewed By" for information purpose. I do not want to fill like a text box . I need to choose.   Can this be configured without any customization/coding? If then how to do this in "Types and Attributes" page first? It's works fine on a stand alone Java application , but when I try to do the same on a POST_CHECKIN Listener the code is unable to find the referenced objects. We have a problem with clasifications of our parts. When you save as a part, classification is inheriting. And it's make a problem - wrong classification attributes in classicator. Is there a way to automatically erase a classification when you save as a part? Windchill 10.2. Thanks!
