Hi,    I have purchased a Creo Advance with PDLM - Locked, but I am having hard time to access my company's Server (WindChill). They need to create a new account for me, but the system is not allowing them. Not sure how can I go about this. See the photo attached for how the WindChill looks like from our end, which is different from other. I have been told, other can easily create a new account. Please advice. 

I'm getting a return error while attempting to build some translation packages. All objects are in release state.    Message: Resource bundle/Message key = wt.pom.pomResource/0   The odd part is, 7 of the 14 language packages requested have succeeded, while the other 7 failed with this message. The 7 that succeeded have previous translation data already imported (a.2) while the 7 that failed have ZERO translation data attached (no A.1, except for 1 - French-Canadian).   I am stumped - has anyone ever seen this??

Hello,  I am using Windchill 11.1 M010. I want to get latest revision of a document using Rest API.   I tried to use filter, $filter : latestiteration eq '1',   but, this gives "Invalid expression".   Is there any way to get the latest revision of a document through Rest API?    

After my company upgraded from Creo 3 / Windchill 10.2 to Creo 5 / Windchill 11.1, end users are no longer able to create folders under our main directory.   How do I give them permission to create folders in our General Product directory in Windchill commonspace?

I am looking for a option or setting in Windchill, that will allow retrieval of assembly in state it was released which includes all the sub-parts and their drawings as well when it was released "in production" refer to image attached basically, if in a released assy + parts + their drawings = all in production state, if I take a sub part and revise it and check it back in to common space, then when I download/retrieve the top level assembly, it downloads the latest version. I want the top level assembly to download sub-parts and their drawings in same revision as when they were released in production in conjunction with top level assembly

We recently acquired a company in Europe using Solid Edge ST10 with no PDM/PLM, 3d-Drawing and assembly files are stored on the server. KPIT solution for Windchill integration is pretty much defunct, even if it supported ST10 and WC11, no guarantee there'd be any upgraded solutions going forward. What has anyone out there done with Solid Edge data bringing it to Windchill? Bring it in as non-CAD? How about translating it to SolidWorks and using the SolidWorks WGM? Other ideas, solutions, frustrations? Any input appreciated!

We have a VM for our production and test environment.  I know there are others out there that have the same thing.  What are you doing for email addresses?  i don't want email to go to the real users so I end up modifying the addresses to mine.  This takes a long time.  Is there a better way to do this?  Or are you doing something else so the users don't get the emails?

Hello, I was asked to improve the workflow templates for promotion request and change management processes but i have a problem that is I don't have any test environment to test it before released. If I make any mistake that causes a lot of problems.   What should i do ?  I really need your opinions.    Thank You.   Onur.

In establishing a new Windchill installation, I understand that modified OIR, Workflow and Lifecycles are need to conform to your company business practices. Do the context templates need to be company specific? I would still copy then from the site level to a new name at the org level so updates do not change what is being used in the future and use the org level templates for any product and library created,   On a higher level are the Context Templates. Do these also need to be modified before being used to create new products and libraries? If they do, what sort of additional information needs to be defined that these files cannot pick up from the system org or site level?   I have no products defined yet. When I open the Product tab and select Create New Product the template drop-down is blank with 2 choices: General Product or Product Design. Can I just create a product named UPF and use one of these OOTB templates? (After I copy them to a new name at the org level.) &n

All,   Wanted to advice with you about interesting situation i've faced lately. one of our customers would like move into windchill 11.1 M030, from Windchill 10.2 M030. we proposed them the "regular" method - using upgrade process. however, they are more interested in "Migration". meaning installing Windchill as Vanila, define the system from scratch ( product, revision scheme, workflow, permission, security, etc ) and then use WBM in order to load the data from current system. The main purposes of this are: 1. review and updating all company standard and regulation into the system. 2. dumping the "garbage" in the system ( they use it for more that 12 years ).     Do you see any REAL benefit from the "Migration" process ? to my view all the things they would like to achieve are possible & easier to do before/after the upgrade is done. that way you avoid the complexity and risk involved.   What do you think about the situation ? how would you handle it ?

Hello. I'm trying to only Auth by Active Directory, but service start by WindchillDS. I want below process. If AD user(by AD join Computer) try to access Windchill, authentication occur(SSO) then same ID in WindchillDS Ldap can start service.    and user in not AD have to enter Windchill Ldap account for can start service. Because there is not all member in Active Directory. AD and WindchillDS both can authentication but using service is only WindchillDS Ldap user. AD user have same ID in WindchillDS. Does anyone have a SQL query to list of all documents, with their context & location.I did setup a query in report builder, however I run into a record count limitation (65k) when exporting.  When using the SQL query from this report in SQL itself, it only brings over the IDs for context and folder path (I need the names).  I must need to link to another table, even though the report builder SQL is not showing such?

Scenario: I am ordering material to specific requirements and do not want to have a CAD Doc for the shape of this material, but I do have a WTpart   Desire: I need to link two WTparts so that when the part made from this material is requested, the custom material defined by a WTpart is requested as well.    Is there anyway to link these two wtparts and create this behavior? 

Hi,   I using Windchill PDMLink M030. And I want to get previous version of wt.part.WTPart via RESTFul API. I can get previous version part by following "$filter"      <$filter=name eq '004' and iterationIdentifier eq '1' and versionIdentifier eq 'A'> But I want to get previous version parts without iterationIdentifier criteria. It likes Info*Engine method "Search-Objects" with VERSION parameter specified 'ALL.'   Does anyone know？？？   

HI,   I want to get type hierarchy both ANCESTORS and DESCENDANTS using Windchill REST API . I using Windchill Info*Engine's method 'Query-TypeHierarchy' for our function, and I will replace this function to using Windchill REST API. Hello everyone,  I need to wite a java custom class that retrieve the structure of an assembly (.asm) file. The class must be execute in a listener after the CheckIn event. I have found a call to Swagger REST Api (structure/objects descendants) and it is working on a standalone java class.   I wondering if it is possible to call a REST Api inside a java custom class executed at the CheckIn event. If it is not possible what JAVA API I shoul use for a Windchill 11.0 M030 ?   Thankyou

I came across and issue that I think should be shared.  I will confirm this and have opened a ticket on this.  I am loading Parts, Docs, Links and content. The order I had was load Parts, Load doc objects (empty), load links (part to doc and doc to doc) then load content.  Some loaders create iterations, others do not.  When the content loader ran (just another BeginWTDocument but now with content), iterates document to add content but does not carry forward the links to that document.   Here is an example: Let's say Part A is described by doc B and Doc C references doc B.  On the related objects page would see links to those other objects.  When the loader for the content runs, the document is iterate and those links are gone. If you go to previous iteration, they are there.  If you go to Part A or Doc C, the links are gone (since no longer latest).  However, if instead of loading content via XML I checked the document out and uploaded cont

Does still exist the "undo" command in Windchill like in the old Pro/Intralink?Because when I go in the "Events manager", in the slide menu on the top of workspace, only few events have the button "apply events" (in my case only the events "add") and anyway if I push one of those nothing happens in the WS.Perhaps that command works only in a given situation?At work I have version 10.1.Regards

Hi all, I need help regarding case 14107786.   It appears the findObjects REST API uses the findObjects() method from com/ptc/windchill/connected/plm/webservice/ObjectWebService and there is no possibility to filter on the subtype.   Are you aware of any valid workaround here?

I am exploring SWAGGER Rest API. I am able to pull the part structure for latest revision using  /structure/objects/{objectId}/descendants rest call. However, I would like to pull Part structure for previous revisions as well. I have checked parameters used in this API as well. But I don't see any exact parameter where we can pass the revision number and get the part structure.  Does anybody has an idea idea what exactly we need to pass as a parameter to get the Part Structure for previous revision(s)?   Thank you in advance!   Thanks, Rizvan

Greetings, I'm having a lot of problems with windchill 11 integration for Inventor 2017: The detail level All Content Centre suppressed is not working anymore and I cannot fill the windchill part list with correct units of measure as like lenght, retrived from document settings of Inventor file.   Can anyone help me?   Thank You
