Experts,   I am trying to write a validator on Move action, I tried to write a simple validator which extends wt.dataops.containermove.processors.MoveValidator, Registered my custom validator in service.properties as: wt.services/svc/default/com.ptc.core.ui.validation.UIComponentValidator/CONTAINERMOVE/null/0=ext.company.validators.CompanyMoveValidator/duplicate   When I do a jcaDebug in UI, the move action shows the name of my Custom Validator, But it doesn't process any code in "validateFormSubmission" method when I click finish on Move action in UI. Can you help in what I may be missing here?   Abhishek

Hello all,   I am new in Windchill and I just started working on Windchill with Creo CAD software. I want to ask how we can know which softwares we can Integrate with our current version of Windchill?   Like presently we have Integrated PTC Creo with Windchill 11.0 M030 and I want to know can we also Integrate other softwares like AutoDesk Inventor or Solid Work etc. with this version? how and where we can check it.? In Structure Tab can not find uses tab. This happen only in case of Part Configuration. So how to add uses tab under Structure tab.

Hello,   When I open a File from Windchill with the desktop integration it will download a *.wcdti file. But those files are not automatically deleted. Is there a way to automatically delete those (not the document you open only the wcdti file)?   Br   Klaus

Hello,      When I create a Part Configuration of a part,  the view is copied as it is. Default view is Design. So I want to change the design view to something else , let's say manufacturing view. So how do it?  Any of the way is acceptable , Either by GUI or by customization.

While publishing a Word document, attributes mapped through DTI are not getting published.I have a set of 6 attributes mapped to Word document through DTI, the first 3 attributes are set during creation of document and the rest I am setting through workflow.Only those attributes which are set during creation are published in pdf form.   Has anyone faced the similar issue?

I have a scenario in my organisation. Someone has created a CAD document with a P/N 1234567.prt. Now same part number needs to be used by other user and this new user is trying to upload the same 1234567.prt from his work-space. It shows a conflict with following message, 1234567.prt, is not unique. Generally, we receive this message when we have P/N with same name exists on common-space,but when i searched this part number, I cannot see it. This means that this P/N exists in uploaded state to some user's work-space. I am not sure who that user is.  I s there a way at any level we can identify this user or search these parts?

We have an issue with the Desktop Integration functionality in Windchill 11.0 M020-CPS08. Some users are no longer able to upload Word documents using the Windchill Desktop Integration functionality. There are no errors in the log files when upload fails.   When downloading a file, the following pop-up message appears: Do you want to overwrite local copy (version 001.2) with server copy (version 001.4).  Note that the version of the downloaded copy remains 001.2, even if the content is updated to version 001.4.   When starting the upload process of this file, a new pop-up appears: Do you want to overwrite server copy (version 001.4) with local copy (version 001.2). Independent of the answer, the upload fails.    When local copy is deleted before starting the download process, the error message remains during upload.  As soon as the document is downloaded, the value of the attribute version becomes 001.2   This behavior is not linked to

This is a system that was moved up from PDMEssentials 10.2 M030-CPS13 to PDMLink 10.2 M030-CPS13, without any issues reported during that activity.   Now I have to upgrade it to PDMLink 11.0, which means going through the WINDU  'Mandatory Before Upgrading from Windchill 10.2' pre-tests.   I have done a few of these 10.x to 11.x upgrades on test systems (PDMLink to PDMLink), and I got used to tracking down these JNDI errors, typically entries that point to the wrong Search Base left over from previous upgrades.   The PrincipalValidator log indicates that I am missing 'com.ptc.ptcnet.EnterpriseLdap'.....? "Caused by: wt.util.WTException: No JNDI Adapter named 'com.ptc.ptcnet.EnterpriseLdap'   The only reference to 'ptc.ptcnet' anything that I can find are from PTC's training and documentation examples. ptcnet(dot)com points to a shady looking 'buy a domain site'. Oftentimes my Windchill Workgroup Manager seems to loose its link to the local Windchill File System. When it is working, I can open SW files from my workspace via the Workgroup Manager, make edits, save the file and all is well. Once or twice a day I run into the situation where I can no longer open files from or save files to my workspace. Saving a file which was opened from the workspace brings up the Save-as dialog. I can still see my workspace in Windows Explorer and I can see the files that I had in my workspace, but when I try to save to that folder it simply gives me a Failed to Save Document error message pop-up. If I try to open from the workspace via Workgroup Manager, I get the message "Failed to open in SolidWorks 2017: #######.SLDPRT. C:\Users\<user>\Documents\PTC Places\Workspace\#######.SLDPRT does not exist" in the WM message area. If I try to open a file from the workspace via the Solidworks Open command, I get a pop-up message in SW saying "C:\Users\<user&gt

Greetings    According to article CS279763  it is not possible to email all users in Windchill Group or Windchill Organization in Windchill PDMLink. Most of our parts are in family tables. We are in the process of implementing Windchill and we use Creo 3.0.   Is there a way to revise an instance without having to revise all the instances in the family table? After setting the action to "Revise", make changes and while checking in, all the other instances have to be in work to be able to check in this particular instance. Currently we are asked the following process to work around it. Is there a better way to do this? Initially the parts are in the released state.   1. Set the action to “Revise” by selecting the Instance and related Generic Part. Make sure to collect all the WT parts related to the instance and the generic part. Make sure you are not selecting all the other instances. 2. Check out the Instance and related Generic Part and drawings. 3. Make changes 4. Ask Admin to set other instances of that generic part to “In Work”. The revised instance and the generic part cannot be checked in until all the other instanc

Hi Forum,   I created a section of a part in Creo View 4.1.   There are two problems with the section. Firstly, the section surface is completely seamless, although the section comprises several parts. Therefore, the boundaries between the several parts should be visible on the section surface, but they are not.   Secondly, the section surface is simply white/monochrome -- however, it should be hatched.   Thanks for tips or hints what could be done about this!
