I want to customize Advance Search -> Search parts -> Edit Multiple Object Description: I want to customize Advance Search -> Search parts -> Edit Multiple Object to1. Add editable columns for classification attributes related to selected Part2. Add editable columns for Manufacturing part attributes related to selected part. Can you please guide me in implementing this ?

Does anyone have any experience with this type of use case and extending the configuration capabilities of Advanced Selection Logic to other types of structures besides part structures?

Version: Windchill 11.2 Use Case: Limit the display of Calibration Types to Parts requiring Calibration.Description: I've set up two attributes, a boolean "Calibration' and a string "Calibration Type". The default value for "Calibration" is "No".In the cascading attributes section, I have two rules. If calibration is no, hide calibration type. If calibration is yes, calibration type is required. (There is no "unhide" option).In the edit page, this works, mostly. If the existing part is without the calibration attribute, it gets set to 'No" and no cal options are display. If I then change from no to yes, the edit page refreshes, and the cal type options appear.BUT, if the existing part already has calibration set to yes, the initial load of the edit page shows 'Calibration YES" but the cal type is still hidden. Am I correct in saying that the only difference between setting an attribute's visibility to "Value Hidden" and "Read Only" from within "Type and Attribute Management" is that the "Value Hidden" setting sets the display of the attribute value to "(Hidden)" and the "Read Only" setting sets it to "(Unassignable)" in the form for the operation the settings were applied to?

A few months ago our VAR mentioned some changes were coming to Windchill regarding possibly licensing or products, but at the time no specific info was available.  So far this is the first information I have seen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klMKVSA5Zv0 Just curious, has anyone else out there heard about this or seen info posted elsewhere ? 

(Windchill RV&S 13.2.0.3).  Currently when a user views the details of a document. The Branches tab shows documents contained in projects that the user does not have access to.  Only the ID and the some fields are shown.  This causes confusion for the user when they double-click the row and try to view the document.  We would like to request a feature to hide documents contained in projects that a user does not have access to.

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: Windchill Auto Associate missing during upload during upload of the CAD document.Description: Hello,I have already set in the preferences management about the 'Auto Associate upon check in' for parts. This works perfectly in the production environment.I can easily see the auto associate button in production environment.Can you help me what is missing in the test environment the option for the 'auto associate parts' is missing on the test environment ?When I check in the CAD part from Production Environment it automatically associates to CAD document.But in the test environment its not present.For reference, below are the screenshots.  Thank You in Advance. 

I'm getting started in query builder and I have a report that multiple pdp attributes. However all versions are returning, is there a way I can filter down for just the latest version?

We are using eclipse as tool and Configured Debug mode on the server.wanted to know is there any easy way to connect eclipse from local system and Configurations/Debugmode set up on Remote.as of now 2 developers can access remote at a time and it impacts the server performance.Is it possible to launch eclipse from local laptop and All debug mode & filesynch configured on remote server?

We have noticed that in our Windchill environment, some custom GET APIs have been added to WRS. By custom I mean they have names like test, deneme, etc., and in some cases, they match folder names. When we send a request to these APIs, they return the data contained within the corresponding folder in Windchill.The issue is, we don’t know who created these APIs — it seems someone did it unintentionally, and we only discovered them later.Does anyone know how this can be done, or have any documentation or examples explaining the process? This could be very useful in our development workflows.

Is there a method to configure a CAD driven BOM structure so a component (Qty 3 in CAD assembly) is listed three times as qty 1 for each occurrence so a COLOR usage attribute can be assigned to each?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Using a BAC in a CCD to update document templates, workflows, enumerations, attributes, and type.Description: Is anyone else having BAC Conflict Errors when loading a CCD package with a BAC? I'm testing the CCD on a dev server with updates to document templates, workflows, enumerations, attributes, and types. The first error I receive is BAC_DOCTEMPLATE_WITH_SAME_NUMBER_EXISTS. The BAC default conflict resolution is OVERWRITE and the service.properties file was changed to use the BACConflictResolver for BAC_DOCTEMPLATE_WITH_SAME_NUMBER_EXISTS. However, we still receive the conflict error. If I remove all the document templates from the BAC, I then receive ENUM_DEF_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, ORGANIZER_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, BAC_TABLE_VIEW_EXISTS, TYPE_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS, and WORKFLOW_WITH_SAME_IDENTITY_EXISTS errors. Within the UI, overwrite isn't an option in the event monitor for conflict resolution.

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: To set attribute value for a WTPartDescribeLink after creating itDescription: Hi all, I'm trying to set an attribute value for WTPartDescribeLink after creating it but If I try to set after creating it I get ModificationNotAllowed exception even when done within a transaction. The requirement is to create the link and set the attribute value without iterating. Is it mandatory to checkout the persistable before modifying the attribute value?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: Creo checkins remove custom attributesDescription: I have custom attributes for my WT parts. When I check in a part from Creo, it resets these custom attributes. How do i make it so the WT part inherits the previous attribute values on checkin from Creo?

My goal is to retrieve or audit which users were added to specific discussion topics for traceability or automation purposes.Description: Hi,I'm working with the DiscussionTopic feature where discussions are grouped around a document or a specific object, and notifications or communications occur among users added to that topic.I was able to find the DiscussionTopic I created in the database. However, I couldn't find where the users (members) associated with this topic are stored. These are the users I manually added to the discussion, but I cannot locate their records in the database.Could someone help me understand where I can find the list of users linked to a DiscussionTopic?Thanks in advance.

Version: Windchill Below 11.0 Use Case: Our old server that was running our Windchill database and vault is being decommissioned and will not be replaced. I need to get all of the CAD files out of it for historical reference. I no longer have access to any of the Windchill installers or old laptops that had this software installed on them.Description: My issue is very similar to this post:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/Export-all-CAD-from-Windchill-database/m-p/758411/highlight/true#M65150 However, I do not see any link to download the script that appeared to do exactly what I need. Does anyone have a copy of it? Or is there another way I can get the CAD out of the old server before it dies for good? I still have access to the old server, but I do not know for how much longer I will.
