Hi, We've set up Single Sign-On (SSO) for ThingWorx using Okta as the Identity Provider (IdP) with No CAS. When we access the ThingWorx URL, it redirects to the Okta login page. After entering valid credentials, however, it redirects to https://thingworx.com/ instead of ThingWorx . In the thingworx Auth log i see auth request success:2025-08-28 06:37:11.344+0000 [L: INFO] [O: o.s.s.s.l.SAMLDefaultLogger] [I: ] [U: ] [S: ] [P: ] [T: https-openssl-nio-443-exec-4] AuthNRequest;SUCCESS;10.206.0.88;http://www.okta.com/exkh94jfsQn8YKi0i7;http://www.okta.com/exkh94jfsQn8YKi0i7;;; Can anyone help me if you have faced this kind of issue earlier, or any OKTA side configuration is missing?
I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.13How would I know whether or not a change to code in my codebase requires a restart of windchill to deploy? For instance, some customizations/changes can be deployed when windchill is up and will take effect and others require windchill to be down. So how do I tell whether or not deployable code requires a restart?
Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I am trying to create a simple hello world servlet. Full details in the Problem Description belowDescription: I am using Windchill PDM link and am trying to create a very basic servlet to return the string "Hello from Windchill!". The plan is to use this as a starting point before writing more complicated ones. I have used the PTC supplied an Ant build script that automates the creation of an Eclipse project to ensure that all necessary JAR files and environment configurations are correctly set up as I will need this for when I write more complicated servlets that interact with Windchill in the future. I have the HelloRestServlet class below in Eclipse which i have built into a jar and placed on the server in D:\ptc\Windchill_13.0\Windchill\codebase\WEB-INF\lib\hello-servlet.jar I have added wt.services.loadService=ext.rest.RegisterHelloServlet to the bottom of file D:\ptc\Windchill_13.0\Windchill\codebase\wt.properties Restart

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: Hello, I´m trying to build a report, that will allow me to enter a assembly Number and the result of the report should be a list of unique objects, only used in defined assembly Number. I have managed to build a report reporting items used in assembly, but I´m having trouble setting Criteria to only report unique items.Description: I´m currently getting a result with the list of the objects, but report is simply listing objects used in specific assembly, whether they are unique or not. I can´t manage to set Criteria correctly, so it will only report unique objects. Can anyone point me to some guide or assist with setting correct criteria to achieve desired result (only report unique objects used in one assembly)? Thank you very much in advance.
I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.2.7I have attended training for CCD for Windchill and have come to rely on it, and have even automated the CCD build, deploy, and Windchill restart. We previously had a very chaotic manual process that moved Java classes around haphazardly.A senior developer has claimed that CCD is not the way to deploy Windchill customizations (java, xml, etc). Please respond with the PTC recommended best practice to manage Java and other customizations between environments on-prem. Summary: If it was a choice between deploying .class files from a directory, or one .jar file from ant CCD deploy, what would be the best practice solution?
Hello. Is there anyone experiencing slow performance in the tabs such as 'Checked-Out Work' and 'Updates' in the Customize tab of the main session or slow performance in the sessions OOTB in Windchill plm 13 Ver. ?There are no issues or problems found in the database or Windchill, but the OOTB session or parts of the Customize tab in the main session are intermittently very slow. The problem might resolve on its own after some time, or it might continue indefinitely. Hello,The Windchill WT part has the Classification attribute that is connected to the SAP side.It received the data from SAP side every time the WT part webpage is accessed. But the WT part webpage loads all attributes immediately and takes time to pull the data from SAP side for classification attributes. (Attached screenshot for reference)As of now the WT part at any state pulls the classification data from SAP.My goal is that the WT part at Released lifecycle state must store the classification attribute and need not connect to the SAP. Only the WT part at 'in progress' state must pull data from SAP.Kindly suggest how can this be achieved ?

Version: Windchill 12.1 Use Case: CAD documents checking in from Creo remove WTpart attributesDescription: Whenever I check in a CAD object, it removes the part attributes each iteration. These are custom enumerated attributes that do not come from Creo, but get removed. I've searched everywhere and cannot seem to find anything on how to keep the attributes between revisions.
I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.0 and Datecode with CPS 13.0.1.0Hello,In a Windchill customization i have a piece of legacy code that i find doubtful:transaction.start();int rowCount = PersistentObjectManager.getPom().execute(deleteBatchSpec, new WTHashSet(), false);transaction.commit();The DeleteBatchSpec is an SQL query targeting the lines to delete. The problem is, in the code i'm wondering about, this is not a batch execution, it is used at normal runtime. So my question is: how does this piece of code behave in a clustered environment? Is the cluster cache updated somehow, or is this code doing something really wrong?Regards,

We have a problem in our database from windchill 12. Normally all 3D EPMDocuments shoud have a globalID(sysid) in the DB, but many of them get a "null" value now. There is an api to get the globalid --> wt.epm.EPMDocumentMaster.getGlobalID()this api works fineThere is also an api to set the globalid --> wt.epm.EPMDocumentMaster.setGlobalID()this api gives me an error.Exception:javax.servlet.ServletException: GlobalID cannot be modified for persistent master: Assembly - CAD1000474015.sdcc Is there a possible solution for this? Is there a workaround for this and make the master not persistent for a few seconds until it's changed? ps: the sysid is something from creo elements/direct modeling

Version: Windchill 11.2 Use Case: One of our customer has updated the windchill & Creo 11, He is looking for a suggestion to manage the AFX & PipingDescription: How do we manage the AFX & Piping modules in Windchill?1 How can we use the AFX module in conjunction with our Windchill number policy? Currently, we have to use a generic project name to start the module.2 The same issue applies to the Piping module, which allows users to input any generic name to begin modeling. How can we control the piping number?3 What is the correct way to save a Manikin in the Windchill library and retrieve it when a user accesses the Manikin module? Thanks
