When I run the Change Summary Report the Description field is empty. We reverted our change objects back from Rich Text fields to basic text fields when the Rich Text was pushed out in Windchill 11. I found a post with the same problem here:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Windchill/Change-Request-Summary-report-Description/m-p/810977 In the old post, the reports were pulling the plain text fields, and the user was using the Rich Text. Now it seems like PTC has changed the reports to pull the Rich Text instead of the plain text. We don't want to use the Rich Text fields.  They don't add any value, and they can't be read with common report tools like SSRS. Has anyone found a way to have the new reports pull the original fields?Has anyone found a way to have SSRS read the blob? (We've looked at it and it isn't stored as RTF.  PTC does something to it before they store it.  Maybe compress it?  I read in WCH that the RTF fields are left out of tables bec

The yellow Notification Pop-up stays persistent for longer duration and appears over the necessary buttons like Actions, and Search filters.  The popup must not overlap on the buttons because this behaviour reduces the user's experience & efficiency, delays the work of the admin and is sometimes annoying. It looks like very legacy user interface. PTC should work on enhancing the user interface of WVS Job Monitor. Especially the notifications.  

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: I want have an attribute column in occurence tab whose data will updated automatically into the attribute column in uses tab in the product structure.Description: I have created an attribute(calculated) in part usage link and also created an attribute(global) in Uses Occurrence Attributes,and I would like to have the values from global attribute in Uses Occurrence Attributes to be in the calculated attribute in part usage link, so any input I make in product structure table to the occurrence attribute will be automatically updated in uses tab in the calculated attribute I have created.but I am not able to use the internal name of the global attribute or the attribute internal name I created in Uses Occurrence Attributes to get this function any suggestions?

What parameter in a Bulk Item CAD model is used to pass the unit of a bulk item model to a built eBOM in Windchill?  I have an associated HWPart and Bulk Item Model.    BOM_REPORT_QUANTITY passes the quantity from the bulk item to the eBOM in Windchill.   But I'm unable to get any unit in the assembly structure other than "EACH".   The associated HWPart has a default unit of "OZ - OUNCE".    I tried adding the following parameters to the bulk item model Unit UNIT_OF_MEASURE  In those parameters I've tried "OZ" and "OZ - Ounce".   In all cases, the Unit in the eBOM always comes in as EACH.   Thanks for any assistance. Hi,I have few checks need to be done when user revises the object.But the checks are just to inform the user, it can be ignored.I wanted to generate custom conflict event when user clicks on revise, if the checks are failed, I need to show the check failed on event management window where user can ignore the warning and proceed.Is it possible to achieve?

Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: We upgraded the dev server from WC12 to WC13. I prepared a new CAD worker with clean CAD/WGM/Adapter installations. It connects fine, tests fine (when worker in Worker Agent is in offline mode) but on a publish job gives a "WWGM ERROR: Error from UWGM-Registration with server failed: The server couldn't be found at the given location" error. Why? The dev environment was a new VM with a clean install and then migrated over our production settings. Is there some dangling pointer to the prod server that's messing with this? Version: Windchill 13.0   Use Case: Previously working REST API GET example in Windchill 12 now throws a "The requested resource [/Windchill/oauth/servlet/odata/v5/ProdMgmt/Parts] is not available" error. Description: I had a set of examples in Postman working when we were on our Windchill12 installation. Upgraded to Windchill 13 in December and I went to dust of the examples. Same GET calls now throw this error.     For the sharp-eyed, yes this calls the v5 of the API that is deprecated. The same result, though, happens on the latest v7 version.    I confirmed that the Azure to securityContext.properties and wt.properties file settings are correct but Windchill 13 does have some additional lines in the securityContext file.    If I try the same from the Windchill interface, everything works fine for the same URL (sans the oauth piece needed for SSO).        

Hi Community, I want to remove New Change Notice from the Actions menu. Users should not be able to see it. I want them to be able to create New Change Notice only from the task. How can I do this?

Version: Windchill 12.0 Use Case: On the home screen of Windchill (using it in a browser), the My Notebook folders are always expanded by default when I launch windchill. I would like them to be collapsed by default.Description: When the folders are expanded, it forces unnecessary scrolling to get down to important information. I have tried changing the "left pane folder explorer" preference to "no," but that did not resolve the issue. I am unable to find any other preference that would make those folders remain collapsed by default. Does anyone know how to make that happen?

We're just getting started with MPMlink... wondering why the Standard Procedures tab buttons for insert and paste are grayed out.  In instructions it says we can use the Uses tab and insert an existing standard procedure for there. Sure. But it also says (a little it higher up in the documentation) that : Is this a preference setting or something else?

Dear PTC Team,We are currently testing the new Q release in the Test Flex PLM system, and have noticed an inconsistency in the display of model numbers. Specifically, in the card layout, model numbers appear with a comma in the middle, while they display without a comma elsewhere in Flex. This inconsistency is impacting the user experience, creates confusion and loads of manual workload. We understand that this issue may not be part of the planned fixes at this time. However, we would like to emphasize that resolving this discrepancy is important to ensure a seamless and consistent user interface across the system. Hi folks, I just have a simple question in hand, why should we have a middleware in place when Windchill is being integrated with a downstream system. I know that it has the below advantages, are there any other points that speaks to the merit of using a middleware. i) System configurations does not need any update between different Windchill servers as the source and target system mapping can be done with a middleware.ii) The formatting and translation of the transferred content can be done and maintained in middleware. Any inputs is appreciated. TIA. 

Version: Windchill 13.0 Use Case: When running a custom service the service must be able to dynamically load classes that are described with their fully qualified names in a configuration file (or other form of storage depending on if the system is Windchill+ or not)Description: If I have understood things correctly I will not be able to use reflection in custom code that I want to install in a Windchill+ environment. Will I be able to use the standard ServiceLoader provided by Java? As mentioned in the Use Case I am looking for a way to dynamically load classes based on some type of configuration. In an on-prem environment I can easily use Class.forName to get my class but if I understand things correctly this will be possible in Windchill+.  Will I be able to use the ServiceLoader to have the same (more or less) functionality? You can see the data area increase graph of my windchill Production server.The curve you see here is constantly increasing at the level of terabytes and creates serious costs.How do you manage the space here, I keep all versions in the system, do you keep them too? Or do you have another recommendation? thanks.
