Hello,I have actually users who use the BOM Transformer to derive the main Design BOM to make specialized Design BOM on limited scope for side analysis or tracking.We are CAD-Centric with SolidWorks, Windchill 12.0.2.8, MPMLink for the Manufacturing BOM.Actually Top-Down is not possible, so derive Design BOM for other Design BOM allow us to generate visualization and save creation of CAD assembly for these BOM.With BOM Transformer and Baseline filter, we can compare quantity, see if there is new version of the components with the equivalent link. With equivalent occurrences, we can visually highlight the downstream Part still in the upstream Part and find removed Part or new Part to add.Very useful with big assembly, but will it still work with future developments of windchill, given that the documentation does not mention this use case for the BOM Transformer ? (EBOM to MBOM only)Is it allowed to be on the same hierarchy level of views between Upstream and Downstream ? (Design to Desi

This article https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS334782 says we can’t set our task deadline to today’s date.  It keeps saying it’s in the past.  Is there a workaround that anyone has found.  We often have tasks that go to the user the day it’s due and we’d like to set that date to today’s date.

How to automatically start CAD worker in ‘Worker Agent Administration’ when status is ‘Failed to Start’? Site Admin has to manually start CAD worker process in ‘Worker Agent Administration’ when its status is ‘Failed to Start’. Is there any way to automate this, so when backend issue with CAD worker is resolved, CAD worker process in ‘Worker Agent Administration’ get start and show status as ‘On’?

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 10.2 and Datecode with CPS M032-CPS15 Bonjour, je n'arrive pas à donner le droit 'Renommer'/Modify identity sur les WTPART à un utilisateur spécifique. J'ai analysé les politiques/ACL, je lui ai donné le droit modify identity sur les WTObject sur la racine/root et sur les produits > Le bouton Renommer n'apparait pas. Il n'y a pourtant pas d'ACL 'refus' qui pourrait bloquer. J'arrive à lui donner le droit 'Renommer'/Modify identity sur les WTDocument. Au contraire j'ai un rôle nommé 'Responsable produit' qui a le droit 'Renommer' les WTPart et je ne peux pas lui enlever. Toutes les actions de rôles sont cochés pour ce rôle. J'ai essayé de mettre un deny Modify identity sur les WTObjects sur ce rôle mais le bouton Renommer reste disponible pour lui. Est-ce qu'il y a une spécificité pour le droit de renommage/modify identity sur les WTPART? Cordialement

Following on from a number of articles a few years ago (CS258281, WGM Solidworks: Mass Properties not mapped to Windchill | Community, etc) and the PTC docs for mapping Solidworks mass properties to Windchill global attributes (CS258281) I have created all the mass properties as global attributes as real numbers with units.The example I will show is the mass, which has the standard QOM of Mass. Not sure where I am going wrong - I have tried to ensure names are identical everywhere. Error: “Mass” property in Solidworks Custom Properties tab:Global Reusable Attribute: Attributes table from EPM CAD document Type Management

We are using AutoCAD with Windchill Workgroup Manager and have configured attributes for AutoCAD blocks.The attributes are correctly assigned and visible on the AutoCAD block. During check-in, the attribute values are getting populated/displayed on the main CAD document/part in Windchill, but the same attribute values are not being populated on the corresponding WTPart created from the AutoCAD block.For example, our AutoCAD blocks contain attributes such as:BRED ALLW DEDAR DEDNO DESC DUNO DUQTY RWTThe values are available in the AutoCAD block, and the attributes are also visible on the main part in Windchill. Generally, we have a panel attached with 4 connectors. Based on the material it will be connected to, the connector and screws will change. (Each structure SHOULD have it's own product number, but historically it has been handled otherwise.)

Hi All,In WC11 I am using - WorkInProgressHelper.service.checkin(obj, ""); API to checked in the drawing and after checked in automatically CAD Worker was getting published.But In WC12 when I am using the same object is getting checked in but job is not getting triggered .Could you please suggest me which API should I used to trigger Publish through code.Thanks.@HelesicPetr

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.1 and Datecode with CPS 12.1.1.0I am trying to learn on external enum value list, need some Help with an example I'm working on. Trying to create an Attribute with a material of high concern and a propriate CAS number when I edit a WTPart, I've managed it with Global Enum and I want to explore it with External Enum value list I've done it so far with Global Enums as a dropdown menu i select Substance Name and CAS number is selected automatically when i edit the partIn the Manage Types I ve created reuired Attributes like Substance Name and the CAS number and put in an Enumareted Value Listfurther in the cascading attributes i Ve created a rule where each substance is connected to its proper CAS number, that is no problem when it is few relations but exhausting when you have 500 substances so I'm thinking to do it with External Enumerated value list where i just create a xml file with the proper substances and CAS numbers which can be later e
