We allow users to add and remove participants from a workflow task.  I can catch empty roles in the future, but how do you catch the current task if a user removes all participants in the current role they are an approver?  Right now when you remove the last user, it hides the ability to add new users and just processes the task as if you Completed Task.

I have used Windchill PDMLink since version 3 and the “New Folder” (Next Gen UI) is terrible.What is PTC trying to look like?Not only would this require all existing work instruction and users guides to be updated, it’s just not a good layout. 

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.2.0 Why Workgroup Manager is needed for Solidworks? As observed Creo don't need the WGM any longer. Impact is with WGM it takes a lot of time, without WGM it is significantly faster for big assemblies. If we can have a quick call with PDMLink and CAD integration team to answer the follow up question it will be great. This is not urgent.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 13.1 and Datecode with CPS 13.1.3.4 I am looking to better understand how as a partner we can develop a custom Wincom Extension for a specific customer with an on-prem deployment using the EDK and any licensing that applies. Current PTC FAQs direct questions to edk@wincom-plm.com however after the acquisition of Wincom I am not sure whom to contact for more information.

Workflow Task Variable does not render the string value as URL.From our java code, we are returning a string which is a url. This is URL is being displayed in the value of the variable Intarsys URL. This was clickable URL and was working in Windchill 12. After upgrading to Windchill 13, the string value in the UI is no more hyperlink(not clickable)I have tried changing the global variable inside workflow to java.net.URL. But in this case, the task itself is not getting generated. How to render the URL so that it is clickable. As in, it should open in a new window. 

I am using Windchill Risk and Reliability Enterprise Edition (Formerly Relex) Release 11.1 We’re planning to migrate our Windchill 11.1 database, currently hosted on a Windows Server 2016 VM with SQL Server 2014 Express, to a clean Windows Server 2025 VM running Windchill 13.1 and SQL Server 2025 Express.The Windchill 13.1 conversion wizard does not recognize the imported database. Could you point us to documentation or recommended steps for completing this migration? Alternatively, rather than migrating a database to a new machine, can we simply export the projects? If so, what would we lose by only exporting our projects/files?

We have multiple Windchill Enviroments and no real way to see where emails come from.like subscription, task, error emails all look basicly the same.Seaching for an clear answer seems to be impossible, i tested a few mentioned options but they don’t seem to work. I should be able to change the email templates but its not working as documented. I have made an custom.properties file that contains the enviroment name.Restarted server to clear cache etc.  Please is there a clear instruction to alter said items to include a custom enviroment name in the email titles.

How to Change the OOTB Attribute Display Name? Tried with Type and Attribute Manager by changing the localize master text but it doesn't reflect. Also put a required constraint it doesn't refelct.

I am using Windchill PDMLink Release 12.0 and Datecode with CPS 12.0.2.26 Recently in our test environment we have identified that APE publishes wait until 9:58pm to start the publish. The worker is set to auto start and does not have an 'available time' set which I believe would mean it should always be available. I have been unable to identify a setting or configuration that would force Windchill to hold the publish till a set time to then send to PE.  We are currently running Windchill 12.0.2.25 and are planning a migration to Windchill+ 13.1.3, so we are looking for an approach that will work well in both environments.We have a requirement to rank Manufacturer Parts (MPNs) associated with OEM parts as follows:Rank 1 = Approved for Primary Build BOM Rank 2 = Approved for Secondary Build BOM Blank = No restriction; can be used in either buildThe challenge is that the ranking is assembly-specific, not a property of the Manufacturer Part itself.For example:Assembly-AMPN-A = Rank 1 MPN-B = Rank 2Assembly-BMPN-A = Rank 2 MPN-B = Rank 1Because of this:The rank cannot reside on the Manufacturer Part, since the same MPN may have different rankings depending on the assembly where it is used.
