3D Part & Assembly Design

Hello, So right now I am designing a model with multiple assemblies and each having their own constraints and connections. I want to ask if it is possible to assemble all of them to one final model? if yes will all connections and constraints of each assembly remain?

I am using Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Elements/Pro Release Wildfire 3.0 and DatecodeM070Hello. I have a customer who are using ProE Wildfire 3 + Pro Concept. He recently changed his computer and needed a new license archive due to HOST ID Change. The license has been updated correclty for ProE Wildfire 3 and the soft is now working, but, se has a troubleshooting with his soft Concept. I've consistently had this problem in Creo with curve patterns. You can see in the pictures that I have several sketches (3, 4, and 5) made to represent the horizontal curve of my bolting perimeter (shown by the rectangle). I'm doing this to control the bolt perimeter's major dimensions (length and width) but have the bolt hole pattern equally spaced along each side. I don't care about the hole center to center, I only care that they're equally spaced. The intuitive approach is to make a sketch with a projection of one of the rectangle sides as I've done with sketch 3. I then use a curve pattern to generate the instances, but to my dismay the start point is at the opposite end to where I made the original hole and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the start point. The inability to change the start point is very surprising considering most other features (sweep, datum point along curve) have the option to change start points. While clicking around to see what different options did, I selected Single part surface and chose a surface in my General View, applied it, and thought "oh, this is hot garbage."Have we found a way to get out of this, or reverse it once you've chosen it? I can technically get my view back "looking" normal by choosing a surface that's not part of the part used to generate the general view, but the options are stuck like this as well as the View Display options are mostly grayed out. So my question is there some magical hotkey command to fix this or is there a way to reset a General View back to it's default options? Creo 9.0.6.0

I'm having an issue with Sweep in a channel. I'm not sure why it doesn't cut as much on sides following walls. You can easily guess what the intent was. I'm not sure what went wrong with my idea of how to cut the shape actually. Also, it doesn't generate some rounds around as planned.  EDIT: it sems like the cut sketch follows YZ plane in normal instead being normal to the intersect. I'm not sure how to force it to follow the intersection's normal.   

Hi All, I have a part created in very old version of creo.The axis "AXS_HOLE_A" in it is built up using reference of two planes DTM33 & DTM34. See attached screenshot. I want to edit location of those two planes. However I am not able to find those two planes in the new latest version of creo. Can anyone please assist how to locate those two planes? Thank you very much in advance!

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0We are working on an integration between Creo and a nest engine for our Fabrication area. Questions:Can Creo export information like Bend center line, angle of a bend and radius?Can it do it through the PRT file output as a property or variable?If not, how can it be made possible?We need this information for the nest engine to be able to create a bending program when it receives a flat from Creo. Hello, My company is trying to create drawings that are easier for our assembly line to understand.  This means creating a drawing more like a step by step instructions.  This means breaking up the complicated assembly into separate stages and we are doing this by creating simplified reps for each stage of assembly.  However, we need an easy way to assign BOM balloons to each of the simplified rep views.  Currently we assign a separate BOM table to each view and fix the index numbers to the same index number in the master rep BOM.  This is very time consuming and there is a risk of mistakes.   I had two ideas as a solution, but I cannot get either to work.   Idea 1:  Create BOM table with multiple &rpt.qty columns with each column assigned to a different stage.  This works well because it shows all of the stages and the quantity of pieces at each, however, we cannot attach BOM balloons to any views because of the following error: "BOM Ba

Is there a faster way to toggle part or component transparency in assemblies than: Click to select, then from the ribbon menu: Model Display>Component Display Style>Transparent?As often as parts need to be toggled from opaque to transparent during the assembly modelling process, what I need is 'Transparent on/off' from the right-click cursor menu. Or even better, a hover-over cursor toolbar or menu with a transparent toggle.

Hello,When creating a drawing using a format file, Creo automatically select the ANSI/ASME tolerancing standard and I need to manually change in order to have setup the tolerances as DIN/ISO.Is there any way we can (via a config parameter, dtl file, format file, etc) to setup the drawing to follow the ISO standard?Thank you!Giandonato 

Hi All, I am facing a problem in Creo drawing view where, the Sketched labels of opposite face of part reflecting in drawing view of assembly.I tried to hide in the layer tree but the complete sketched labels will get hide in the part level that is not right i feel.I tried to create new layer and add the labels in the assembly layer tree, then i tried to hide them, then also it was not possible to hide them in the views. Am i going in right direction or any other method to hide the visibility of sketched labels of opposite face of part mode in the drawing view ??  

Is there a way to set up an assembly that will automatically create feature(component) attributes as I bring them into an assembly? For example I want an attribute called "Reference_Model"  These models are used for reference only.  I can then use the attribute in a repeat region and can be easily filter out of BOM table or have their own BOM table.

It's Confusing and not clear on when to pick wire option .For wire option, its not letting me pick already existing spool. Always new spool? See image.

Hello, I need help or some recommendations. Creo is testing me once again and I am almost giving up. I would like to design a stranded wire over a curve. I tried myself but it was too complex and not as smart as your solutions. Heyooo, I needed to create a datum plane that was angled in a specific way, then offset from that angle. Usually this would take two plane features in my tree, one to angle a plane, then another to offset that plane. However I fat fingered my keyboard and while in the first step to set the angle, I entered an offset function. This gave me two planes the way I needed them, but under one feature in my tree. Does anyone know how this is done?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I create counterbored holes using the hole feature in my model. When I create my 2D drawing, I create a hole table. The table will give me the through diameter of the hole, but I can't get it to show the counter bore diameter, or the counter bore depth. How do you add the counter bore diameter and depth?

Hello ptc community, If I create a List of materials (BOM) of an large assembly, the list does overlap with the frame of the drawing.Is it possible to split the list from one to two, to shorten the length? I know that I could use a bigger format for example to change from an A3 sheet to A2.But if everything fits to the format sheet (If the list is split to two) it would be worse to take a bigger sheet. Version of creo is 4.0 Yours sincerely,Alexander

Using Creo 8.0.9 I'm working on a drawing that has a large table of dimensional values that directly reference dimensions created on views in a later sheet. When I create the dimensions on the drawing view, I enter a symbolic name (like 'H4', see image below) that corresponds with the name of the value on the first page. This way if the model changes in the future, the table automatically updates instead of needing to manually type in the new value. So, the table on sheet one has the value &H4, but displays the dimension named 'H4'.The issue I'm running into is that sometimes when I enter the name I want, it brings up a pop-up that says "This symbol is reserved or exists already". When I look through the annotations dropdown in the drawing tree, the dimension name I want isn't found under any of the views so there shouldn't be a conflict.Is there a way to see a list of all created dimensions on a drawing? I've also tried looking in "Show Model Annotations", but don't see the n

Hi,referring the article CS392162, I'm not able to edit the name of the folders. In my example I need to add the mechanica beams and I want to maintain the original ones.I already create the folder structure, as you can see in the image attached:- simulate    - steel_beams_mm_mechanica    - steel_beams_inch_mechanica I want to change the label of the folders:- SIMULATE    - MECHANICA MM    - MECHANICA INCH I need it in two different languages, english and another one. Thanks in advance
