I want to add an additional leader to my drawing on the outside radius dimension to call out the internal radius with it.   How can I add the additional leader?  

I want to assign only the first 7 characters of parameter (string) to another parameter. How can I do that via relations?.Creo 9

Hi, I have developed some mechanism in Creo4 by linking to the parameters and it was working fine.Now we have updated to Creo8 and when I try to update my expression it shows "entered value is invalid". Could you please support on this issue, thanks. 

Is there a way to use Material Side: (side one, side two, both sides) to drive a parameter through pro-program or relations? 

I have an assembly with a note I would like to have displayed in a combination state. When in the model I have to click on the note in the model tree in order for them to appear. If I click on the "show annotations" button the notes appear but so does every note down the piece parts which is way too many and cluttered on the screen. Once I switch combination states and go back (despite hitting the update button) the notes are gone again. How can i get only the notes/annotations in the top level assembly to show? The show annotations dialog box has nothing in it to select or filter.

I have a piping model done in Creo 8 piping. The line has valves in it. They are inserted valves and are intelligent,  When we export a .pcf file to use in another piping software. The piping is cut where the valves are, so it knows the valves are there, but the valves do not appear in the other software. If I open the .pcf in notepad it shows the location Any help would be appreciated.   KM

Hi everyone, I am using Creo 9.0, and when trying to open one of the variations of my project created through nested families, the parameter I want to change gets changed but there is no way to regen the model. Hi All,Any ideas how to get the number of Pattern Members when using a Point Pattern? I'm not looking to drive the number of Points in the Sketch with this, it's display only. Use case is an irregular pattern of holes, and everything works fine except I don't have a way to add the number of holes to the hole callout. On a Dimension (and Table Pattern I think) this shows up as a parameter that can be added.Thanks in Advance

I am using creo 8.0.Working in assembly , when I create new component I don't  see option of 'Leave the component un placed' which is usually on highlighted section. How can I turn it on ?   Below is image I found on website 

Hello, is it possible to set the Remove feature with "Leave open" mode checked by default? Sometimes I leave it unchecked by mistake and start collecting surface patches, but Creo slows down trying to calculate ways of closing the quilt. If possible, I would set the Creo config with "Leave open" checked (also, I prefer to uncheck it after selecting a bunch of patches, instead of waiting each time a new patch is added). I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.2.0 Background: I am an experienced Electrical Engineer, have used AutoCAD my whole career, mostly 2-D but have done 3-D objects. I recently learned Altium and have done 2-D and 3-D modeling there. I have used Creo to view objects in the past as well as creating assemblies with pre-existing 3-D models. In short, I have background in CAD and 3-D modeling, and in Creo, but not in Creo 3-D modeling from scratch. However, today I have been asked for the first time to create a 3-D model in Creo - and I am struggling. I am starting with the simplest model imaginable, but I have yet to grasp it. I just need a flat panel. The panel is a flat rectangle with small rectangular "ears" with a thickness of 1.5 mm.. I created a sketch of 3 rectangles: one large and two small rectangles each on the center of the long side. Hi,I have a drawing with a model that has a inherited model (not sure if that matters).I am trying to change the crosshatching but in Layout tab, the crosshatching is unable to be selected.I also changed the crosshatching on the cross-section in the model, but it does not update on the drawing. Is there any other way to change crosshatching when it is unselectable on the drawing?

Hello,I have to display a BOM table on the drawing.Default the table will display POS number and Quantity of the item e.g.: POS 20  Qty 2     (each)In this case I have added a tape to the ASSY, which is also displayed in the model and it will beadded in the assembling stage from roll.Is it possible to change the BOM table to e.g.: POS 20 Qty 2 cm ?I can create a bulk item, but that is not visible in the model and the drawing.An other way is to create a part which displays 2 cm tape, but in that case I have created a separate item, which more or less produced before the assembling action.Any idea how to implement this?

Hi there, My company updated to Creo 8.0.1.0 some weeks ago. Now it turns out, that the model check test "DEF_DENSITY" does not work anymore in Creo 8. In Creo 8 every part gets the default material "PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS", which has the density of 1.0. The test DEF_DENSITY should check, if the density is 1.0, but the test passes. Since we use modelcheck as a gatekeeper for our windchill, there is a pretty chance, that the pdm-system gets filled up with neutron-star-like parts. Does someone knows a workaround?

Hello, I'm working in Creo Parametric 9.0.7.0. I have a model of a box with a door on it. I have two versions of the hinge for the door, one open and one closed (the only difference is an angle constraint that switches between 0 degrees and 180 degrees). I created an interchange assembly that maps all the pertinent geometry on one hinge to the other. I can replace these hinges and update my model and the door will open/close fine. I would like to have a simplified rep to be able to swap between open/closed configurations, but Creo doesn't seem to allow that unless I use a simplify interchange assembly rather than a functional interchange assembly. My problem is that the simplify assembly only does a cosmetic update rather than a functional update (it doesn't update the constraints). Is there any way to set up a simplified rep to switch between parts of an interchange assembly and have the constraints update in a top level assembly? Thanks,Matt

(I assume) many of us make tabs on sheet metal parts. it would be nice to be able to set the width of a tab, rather than rely on doing the math to set it's offsets from each side. To give the option to have a full length flat / flange, or to set its width & offset from an edge..  i.e.: I want a 3/4" tab, 2" from one edge of my part.  I have to do math to figure out what I need to offset from each side is to get this..  But, if my part changes width, the tab width then also changes by that amount..

Hello, I'm looking into UDF's and the possibility to use them to create variable assemblies and place these into a main assembly.  I would like to make 3 UDF to help me easier create a casing.1. A steel frame UDF where I can have some standard component corners and then some variable profile lengths. 2. A panel UDF where I can change the length and width of the panel and have the components inside change dimensions accordingly. 3. A door UDF where I also change the outside dimensions, but have some standard components, like a door handle. The idea is that I can create casing by first take a frame UDF, designate the size and place it in an assembly, then take panel UDF's one at a time, designate sizes and mate them into the assembly. And if needed, choose a door UDF, designate size, and then place it in the assembly.  I have worked a bit with the UDF function and I have access to the AdvAssem option in Creo 9, but I haven't had success in making t
