To all I created some measures (RMS disp, RMS accel - that sort of thing) but when I look at the results I see nothing . These do not appear in the list. I also would like to create a PSD response graph but again I am getting nothing.The analysis ran succesffuly and all is Ok. I just do not get measures Thanks

Hi All, I'm trying to set up a rigid body dynamic analysis with creo mechanism, and I'm getting a little hung up on a wheel to ground contact. I have a very simple wheel/axle similar to the one shown below. I would like to apply friction between the wheel and ground, and measure the force required to rotate the wheel/axle assembly around it's central axis (also shown below). Ideally I could measure this torque in two situations: 1. The wheels are locked up/not allowed to rotate with respect to the axle. So pure friction between the wheel/ground interface.2. The wheels are allowed to rotate (more realistic case).  I've been starting with case #1. I've tried a 3D contact between the wheel and ground. This seems to work for a kinematic simulation, but when I add friction the simulation errors out (no specific error message in the notification center).My question: Would I be better off using a cam connection between the wheel and ground, or should the 3d Contact wo

Hi,   Asking for advice on how to analyse an aluminum honeycomb panel. The layup is 0.5mm aluminium sheet, 20mm aluminium honeycomb structure and a final aluminium sheet. These make up a plate of 400x400mm. How should I set this up for best analysis in Creo Simulate? I'm thinking the Shell feature would be the right way and make a laminate material. Should one then have the honeycomb as a material type, to be defined, or should one define a Laminate Stiffness and use that shell as the middle layer? Alternatively define the honeycomb material as an Orthotropic material and apply that to a geometric part representing the honeycomb core? Furthermore, any hints or suggestions to such properties, as I have not yet dealt with honeycomb structural properties? Thanks

Good morning everyone, I've been working on a puzzle recently, and I could use some help from the forum. I want to make a saved mold analysis feature to monitor the clearance between the waterlines and the geometry of the cavity block (see attached part model).  The tricky bit is that my company differentiates between clearance to cavity and shutoff geometry versus clearance to adjacent features like threaded holes for assembly.  In general, the idea is that the clearance between the waterlines and the cavity geometry should be a minimum of 5/8", whereas the clearance between the waterlines and any other feature should be a minimum of 3/8". Right now, I can do a global mold analysis feature and pay close attention to the coloring to determine if my clearance is okay for the specific features I'm checking, or I can specify a single reference surface to measure clearances from.  What I'd really like to do is make intent reference objects to collect the surfa

Dear all Creo Users,Sometimes I encounter fatal error in creo after some repetitive failed attempt of selecting or some unknown reasons. I have used the searchbar and searched the ptc community for fatal error topic and find that some experts are saying about traceback. What are tracebacks? Are these trail files? Can it help to recover part,assembly files?How can I recover my parts and assemblies and drawings in exact form after this error occurs. Usually ptc creo software completely shuts down after I click ok on fatal error.Any suggestions, ideas, discussions regarding this will be helpful.With regards,Soumya

I am trying to find a way to take a model (part or assembly) and use datums to orient the model based off a list of angles to get the projected (frontal) area and then save or export those values as a list. Is there a way of doing this? I have several hundred orientations to perform so I would need a way to automate.

I know that GPUs like a 3080 aren't supported in Simulation live right now - but the interaction is really stange:Initial click on Sim Live: ~5 min loading for the libarysClick on Start Simulate: 5 more minutes of loadong (1 CPU is used ~50%) then the simulation starts and is done in 3 secs - when you increase accuracy it only takes the usual time to simulate immediately (5s) and is doneAre there already fixes? We have found problems when analyzing FEM results of laminate layups. The problems occur when you have forces in normal direction of a laminate layup. I will show a simplified model below to show you the problem and then I hope you can guide me to a solution.   Model: Composite beam. Fully constrained at one side and a normal force of 10 N at the other side. A surface of 20 mm width x 600 mm long is creating the test object. This surface is simplified as a shell with a composite laminate attached to it.   The laminate consists of two 1 mm layer.   Results according to von Mises shows: Same stresses as hand calculations are obtained (225 MPa at the middle of the beam). No problems so long.   Now to the problem. When you are running a composite analyze you want to analyze the results in failure-index, not von Mises. Failure-index compares tensile and compressive stresses against specified limits in the material data. Following is obtained when showing maximum fail

Hello, I have problem when I make Press fit simulation in Creo Simulate 4.0.I have a housing (material aluminium AW6063-T66) and inside part laminated stack (M250-35A). There is interference fit between housing and laminated stack. I want to Analise the contact between Housing and Laminated Stack which is needed also by higher operating temperature. So I add  a temperature Load of 100°C and 20°C as reference temperature.When I check the displacments after the simulation is completed there are the same displacements in time 0 and time 1. Meanwhile there is a difference in Stresses Von Mises in time 0 and time1. It would be logical that in time 0 there would Creo showed the displacments that are a cosequence of interferance fit between housing and laminated stackat room temperature.And than in time 1 there would be additional displacments due to Temperature load (delta T=80°C and becouse of different expansion temperature coeficients of Aluminium and Steel)Can anyone give me an

Hi, I have a PC with GeForce RTX3060 and I use Creo 4.0.I borrowed a 30-day trial license of Simulation Live, but it is too slow on my computerIf I clik the simulation tab, it takes about 10mins to turn on and the simulation process also takes about 10mins.Both of them should be done within a minute. I asked the sales person about it but he just keeps saying "Simulation Live is not compatible with your graphic card".I looked up the requirements of Simulation Live and found that it only supports up to Pascal architecture(GeForce GTX),but RTX is Ampere architecture. I wonder if anyone has the same issue but has solved the problem. 

I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 version 6.0.6.02 Of our users are having issues with Creo Simulate within Creo Parametric. When they want to start simulate, they get the message (on the bottom left) that 'Creo Simulate is not installed'We have tried several things like:- Reinstalling the computer- Deleting windows profile for the user- New hardware- Checked the licenseEvery time, after deleting/new windows profile, the issue is gone but returns after a few days/weeks.Whenever I do 'Run as different user' on Creo, simulate works again.We have over 20 users that have no issues, and they have the exact same installation.I'm kind of out of things to try at this point. Do you have any suggestions that we could try?Here are the errors that I faced:Creo Simulate is not installed

As per this thread - same issueHi,I've the same issue and I tried this solution.It's very strange because with another normal use (on the same workstation) simulate works, with admin user Simulate works but with the firt normal user doesn't works. All other functions of Creo Parametric (6.0.6.0) work without issue.Is the only solution to format the PC?

Any time I open a tool or click on anything that opens a pop up window (such as the options button or currently the profiles function with in framework) the window opens up so tall that I can not see the bottom making it impossible to use. I cant even re-size or drag the window upward to be able to see the bottom. How do I fix this?

Hello, I'm trying to find a way to give an estimate of how much heat there will be in a component during a 3d-printing operation.My idea was to have a part, which I cut using a plane and solidification, then move the plane in order to let the part "grow" for each printed layer. During this there is heat/energy load on the surface for each layer.Ideally I would like to have the simulation to not add a new layer (move the plane) and add heat until the average temperature of the part is below a certain value. The goal is to find a time for cooling between each printed layer. I've tried using a plane + solidify where the plane's translation is bound to a parameter that increments on each regeneration (by using relation) but sadly this did not work. My question is: Is it even possible t change the geometry during a thermal simulation and would it be possible to constrain the heat load for each layer by measuring the temperature of the parts current state?

Hello everyone,    As part of one of my projects, I need to simulate a mechanism, using Creo. This mechanism contains a freewheel, which is not made with ratchets, but with a specific bearing and I don't have the CAD model.    My question is : is it possible to create a freewheel constraint on a pin connection in Creo Mechanism ?    Thank you    Julie  French mechanical engineering student

Hi everybody, My computer have Intel I7 processor  8th gen, 32gb ram, ssd and Nvidia RTX 2060 8gb, but I have some problems and errors.Do you think it's because of the graphics card ?I must change my graphics card? There is a configuration that I missed ? or Just update the card drivers?

I am using Creo Simulate 7.0 7.0.0.0When entering the material properties, the default for youngs modulus is "lbm/(in sec^2). I believe this is an incorrect unit for the Young Modulus. If I change to input the units in KSI, CREO automatically converts to this "lbm/(in sec^2)" the next time the material is selected. This makes me questions the results for the simulation.

Hello,   Currently I am trying to run a CREO Flow Analysis for my parts and I am having trouble making boundary conditions for my inlet and outlet for the parts I have created.    When I did the Without Heat Transfer: Power Inverter Overview tutorial on CREO, I was able to do it flawlessly. Now when I do the tutorial,  I automatically get BC_1 and BC_2. When I do CREO flow simulation for my parts, I don't get the those boundary conditions at all and when I try to add them, it doesn't allow me and the error I get says "Selected surfaces don't refer to single fluid domain" even though I have created my fluid domain.    I have the two images attached to this post. Let me know what I can do to fix the problem.   Thanks, Greg
