Hi everyone,I'm working in Simulation (Analyses and Studies) within the Structural module in PTC Creo, and I’ve run into an issue: I can’t save result images in high-quality formats like PNG or TIFF.In this section, Creo only lets me save images in lower-quality formats, and I’d like to avoid using screenshots or the snipping tool because the resolution becomes quite poor.Does anyone know if there’s a way to export result images with the same quality as when PNG/TIFF saving is available?Maybe a setting, a workaround, or something I might be missing? I’m also attaching two images to show the issue:The first image is taken in Simulate (before entering Analyses and Studies) and the quality is great.The second image is taken inside Analyses and Studies, and the quality is noticeably lower, which is the problem I’m trying to solve.

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.5.0Hello,I use ModelCheck for create parameters in creo prt.Is it possible to specify units?this is the line in MC for my parameter:PRT_PARAMETER DIAMETER REAL EQ 10And I need that the parameter created has mm as units.Because in windchill this parameters is a type: Real with unitsThanks

Hi @SweetPeasHub @skunks . Thanks for the explanation in this topic attached. For a guy wire in tension, I have defined a beam element using a series of points just as you have showed but the issue that I am facing is these tiny elements of the beams do not seem to be in contact for some reason and the prestress analysis for wires in tension fails. I had defined a rigid link between all these points that make up the beam. Is there any better / correct approach to constrain these tiny beam elements to stay connected? Please guide.    

Hi Everyone,I'm encountering a challenge while attempting static structural simulations in Creo Simulate using Mid Surface shell idealization with contact definitions.It appears that the contact interactions are being ignored during the solution process, leading to premature termination of the simulation. This issue seems specific to the shell idealization approach.While switching to solid or thin solid idealizations does allow the contacts to be recognized, it significantly increases model complexity and computational time.Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a workaround for this? Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.Thanks in advance!

If I try to Open Using Default Template for a result set, I immediately get an error message and then a fatal error. However, if I first launch Creo Simulate, and then use Open Result → Default Template, the same results open normally with no issues.     P.S. i don't have any Z:\ drive  

Hello!I have a frame design. I wish to get the reactions on the 4 points.I have as load the gravitation.The "Y" Reactions are ok. Way I get also reactions on "X" and on "Z"? In case that I have on corner "1" and "4" NO translation and on the corners "2" and "3" translation, by using of load by side, I will not have reaction in the corners "2" and "3". So ...this is the art to determinate the forces, but this is wrong be side load. So ..how to set the constrains correct?Thank you! 

Requested Improvement: There should be some visual indication in the model that the dimensions have been altered using the Analysis -> Dimension Boundaries tool (referenced as Dim Bounds in help).  An analysis feature in the model tree would be helpful,  (This would also be helpful for turning on and off the analysis, or having different analysis scenarios)Also highlighting of the alerted surfaces would also be helpful. One color for more material another for less material. Or, one color for upper boundary, and another for lower boundary.Environment: Tested in Creo 10.0.8.0. Problem: When the Dimension Boundaries feature is used and active, there is currently no indication in the model tree. The risk is that an analysis could easily be left active in a production model.  Manufacturing could manufacture to the model expecting the model to match shown dimension values.   The end result is that bad parts could be made due

I am trying to set up a CFD analysis where a fan is blowing air through a radiator. I don't know the exact geometry of either the fan or the radiator but I know the general size and I have charts to tell me how much pressure drop to expect on the radiator and pressure gain from the fan. Can anyone help to tell me how to set that up in Live Simulation? See the attached picture as a reference.  I have tried to enter a positive pressure on the outlet side of the fan and then measuring (with a probe) the pressure on the surface of the radiator in front of it. Then I take that measured pressure value on the incoming side of the radiator and enter it as inlet pressure. Since in know the pressure drop from the chart, I enter a lesser value on the outlet side mimicking a pressure drop. Am I on the right track or is there a better way to set that up?Thanks!Creo 12

Hi All, I have a fairly simple question I hope, but for some reason can't figure it out myself.When I run a simulate analyses on the shaft below I'm reading much higher stress results than what I calculate by hand. But when I run the same analyses on a beam section the results are lower than the hand calculation. For this reason I'm not feeling very confident on the results at the moment. The situation is as followed:The shaft has fixed displacement contraints on the pink surfaces with all rotational movements "free" and also axial movement free. On both outer ends I have placed a planar contraint to make it "fully contraint".The load is a radial bearing load on the green section. The situation can be compared to the fin of a bow-shackle.  Below the results of this analysis. And this is the beam analysis:And the results. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for the help!

Hi, I’ve been trying to identify the stress distribution while twisting happens through simulation but haven’t been able to get accurate results so far. Could someone please assist with setting up or running the analysis? FYI: all parts are plastics(PP), motor will be 10 nm, the blue highlighted area are screws, and the red highlighted area is load acting.Let me know if you need any. 

Hello, I used a subscription to simulate.Budget restrictions...I only have Creo 3 with Simulate "Light".I'm being asked to simulate a chassis in Step.I'm afraid Simulate won't allow me to convert surfaces to shell pairing and perform fatigue calculations.What do you think? Is it better to refuse?

HelloI am trying to simulate the motion speed of a mechanism operated by DC motor.DC Motor Rotation Speed varies with the input torque as attached graph. But it seems impossible to define Motor Rotation Speed by using measured inputtorque in MDO.(There is only servo motor, whose speed does not depends on input torque) In this case, are there any method to simulate with the DC motor? I can calculate this motion in excel or mathcad, based on Torque value at each position angle from creo simulation with servo motor.But It would be great if this could be done just in Creo, or with a simpler workflow

I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.3.0We would like help understanding how to edit a Comfort Angle file (mca) for a Manikin comfort analysis.We are trying to correlate the PTC provided zero gravity file with NASA documentation and getting results that don't quite make sense.

We’ve been trying to find a more efficient way of creating springs and adding measures to them, but so far haven’t had much success. We’ve standardized a lot of spring parameters—names, orientations, and measures—but every time we create a new spring, it still takes too long to set up both the spring and its associated measure. Example workflow: Start with an empty model and a point at (0,0,0). Create a spring to ground with stiffness properties in the global coordinate system: Z = 10 N/mm X = 0 N/mm Y = 0 N/mm Add a measure for this spring and name it Wheel_1_Z. We’ve tried to automate the process using mapkeys, but haven’t managed to make it work. Question:What would be the best way to streamline or automate this workflow?Issues: Case 1: You select a point and press the Spring button. A simple spring is created, and the point remains in the buffer. But when you switch the spring type to Spring to Ground, the point list becomes empty, so you have to reselect the poin

I am learning about various analysis tools in Creo 10.0.4.0, and can't seem to find a specific explanation of how the 'Section Thickness' tool works. I (think) the related Thickness tool works by ray-tracing a perpendicular line through every surface, and expected the Section Thickness tool must work similarly, except I'm struggling to interpret the highlighted regions it produces in order to assert where those lines are.  In the screenshot below, I have created a model with a revolved section around the bottom of a sketch that looks like a 4-step staircase, 1 inch long with 0.25 inch steps. I have set the maximum and minimum thicknesses to 1.5 and 0.6, so from the geometry, I expect the last step should have some indication that, measured from top to bottom, it is 2 inches long. However, we only get these minimum sections highlighted, which obviously correspond to areas that would be under minimum, but I still struggle to understand how those lines are traced out.

Hi all,   I am learning how to run a thermal analysis on a PCB using CREO. I do not have a ECAD-MCAD license. I got some sample PCBs from KICAD and tried importing it to CREO. I tried using a .emn and .emp file extensions but only a rectangle was imported. Then I tried importing it as a .step file. It loaded all the components. But I am not able to get the Vias, Copper Routing, Solder masking etc nothing on my CREO. How can I import the PCB file properly on CREO? A proper guide to this will be very much appreciated as I am a beginner using CREO for ECAD. Kind Regards, Naresh  

I’m simulating a machine where a thin sheet is cut and then folded to form an envelope around a separator. The motion study is done in Creo Mechanism, and I plan to render in KeyShot, but I can’t get the sheet’s actual deformation in Creo. I’m thinking of animating the sheet in Blender and then bringing that together with the exported Creo assembly mechanism for the KeyShot render. Has anyone tried this?

Hello All,  I am checking the carrying capacity of I section beam. I have applied 3000kg of load downwards divided equally into 8 bottom lugs. Two top lugs are tied to sling/rope leading towards a single point. I have created beams in creo simulate 7.0 to replicate the ropes using two end points - one on lug and one on top at a certain height..see attached pictures for your referenceHowever after running simulation I am observing a high point load on lug where the beam starts. This seems to be something unusual. I believe the load should spread on the hole of lifting lug. Can you please advise if you have any suggestion to improve the definition of sling/rope in creo simulate? is there any better way to perform it? I would highly appreciate your help with it.

I have a case involving a beam structure suspended on ropes.After analysis, I expect to see how the structure is balanced (center of gravity neutral) and deformed.But I don't know how to define the rope correctly.Could someone please help me? Thank you in advance!

I was trying my first Simulation in Creo Ansys Simulation, facing an issue during creation of mesh. I checked with multiple YouTube video but still I could get the solution."Material Some bodies or simulation objects in your modeldo not have a valid material type/elasticity model assigned."Please help me to resolve.  I am using Creo 10.0.7.0

I'm looking for guidance regarding how to set up a heat exchanger component in Creo Flow Analysis (CFA).  Are there any examples, tutorials, or online help available?  I'm not finding anything. Thanks! Mark
