Good Morning,     My name is Daniel and I need some information about the analysis and fluid dynamics with the  Simulation CFD software. My company works in the construction industry and we use Autodesk Revit software for modelling of ductwork for ventilation (rooms, open space, restaurants, hotels, museums, etc ...)     We would like to find a software that allows us to make a fluid dynamic analysis of air within the pipework/ductwork (from a AHU to the ventilation grille in the room). I would like to ask the following questions:     1) Is it possible to import Revit models into Pro E and then work on them to make fluid flow analysis? 2) Is it possible to make an analysis of the pressure drop in the ductwork? 3) Is it possible to make an analysis for the velocity along the route of the ductwork? 4) Is it possible to make an analysis of air temperatures along the ductwork?     Thanks to all of you. In current version,when we finished simulating,and created a section,that can show the contour of tempreature or other variable such as veloctiy,pressure and so on.such as the picture showed.It will be useful to us!

I have a question on Dynamic Time Analysis (DTA). I am inputting time history data for DTA that varies with time for about 25 min or so. The output I get does not align with the input, I only see 0.25 seconds of data.     I am attaching the snapshots to highlight my point above. Any feedback as to if such an analysis is possible in Creo or a change in output settings is needed somewhere, please let me know.    Appreciate all the help I have been getting so far. MDO requires "every part" has mass assigned... and then collects those into bodies. But I want to perform some dynamics predictions of large complex assemblies that are unfinished AND... contain many STEP objects that don't necessarily have masses assigned. Essentially, I want to ASSIGN mass properties to BODIES so that MDO ignores the incomplete part masses. Is my interpretation of documentation correct that this is NOT possible?    As a second option, my bodies are almost always constructed as stand-alone assemblies! So, I'd like to think I can ASSIGN mass of these assemblies and expect MDO to then properly ignore all information from subparts. However, I'm pretty sure I tried this a few years ago and MDO did NOT use the assigned masses as expected: It continued to compute the masses of subcomponents that had masses assigned. Or maybe just did that for 3D skeletons Anyway, it did not work and I spent a lot of time trying to get it to work.   Does anyone have advice on

I have a question regarding importing test data as a driving function for Dynamic Frequency Analysis  (DFA) uding ascii format. I get the following error when I try to import the data. I can export the data in ascii format using diff delimitors (tab, space, comma, colon etc) but nothing seems to work.    Any suggestions regarding Creo capabilities (I am using Creo 4) or if I need to change data format somehow ?   Also if someone has ran Dynamic Frequency or Time analysis in Creo with actual test data, are there any best practices to follow, reference material or lessons learnt ?   many thanks !

But the factor R is not clear to me in 3D models   what is the purpose of R

I have a question regarding Dynamic Frequency Analysis (DRA). The FEA model that I am working on have quite a few modes (20). I want to run the DFA using different damping values for different modes but I only see field to enter different damping values is limited to only 4 modes. Is this a bug or is there another way I can enter different damping values for different modes. Am I missing something ?   Normally based on the structural complexity, I have anywhere from 15-100 modes for different systems that I analyze. FYI, I am using Creo 4.    Thanks !

I have a CAM problem I have been working on.. one big issue... my cam has motion at the start of the analysis, when it should just be gliding along my lower dwell?    Here is what I have been doing:    I start my dynamic run at the center of my lower dwell / Create a snapshot called Start   Make sure I have my springs in the system pre-loaded as I would like.  (Using spring to input rates I have found by running FEA on the parts, this is a heavily loaded Cam with a low displacement, .010" is the total cam rise and that is reduced through a lever arm.)   Set an Initial Condition, with my cam rotation at full speed, and my snapshot <Start> used. Run a "Zero Time" dynamic to check that my loads are for the most part balanced.   Run a dynamic analysis for my cycle time, that is  Lower Dwell (2nd half) | Rise | Upper Dwell | Fall | Lower Dwell (first half)  all at 500 Hz, or just .002 seconds.   My Cam roller seem to have motion,

After an MDO run sometimes my measures go right into excel no problem... The next run they may not....Is there limits on the number of data points or any other controls that need to be modified or limited?The data sets are in the 38k range for a model I have that is running for 0.002 seconds, collecting 500 frames

I have had this issue off and on at work to the point where it's driving me insane. Sometimes the function works just fine, other times it acts like it's not possible. There are also times where I'll be having a problem copying and pasting, ask a co-worker about it, and then it instantly starts working and I'm pretty darn sure I took the same steps I had before asking for help, and it's really irritating. I've gone about this several ways:   1). Clicking on the note that I want to copy, doing a slow right-click, selecting "Copy", making the other window with the desired drawing I want to copy the note to active (I use dual monitors), then slow right-clicking again, but no "Paste" option shows up. I do this all without clicking off of the original note after copying it.   2). Everything is done the same as in the first method, only this way I deselect the note I'm copying and still I can't paste on the other drawing.   3). In this method, I'll copy the note to another she

This is my first time dabbling with hyperelastic materials on Creo Simulate. Elastoplastic materials are quite fun and are fairly easy to run. But, I have found that when using large deformation, the simulation takes over a day or fails. As such, I typically run without large deformation selected.   However, I noticed that within the Hyper-elastic material options, I am unable to deselect "calculate large deformation. Is there a way to run a hyper-elastic material without large deformation?

I have a dubt...for the dynamic analysis the output steps/master steps understand a "real time step" or, like the static analysis, we have the load fragmentation from a min to a max?

Inspired from an example viewed on a site, I've decided to try a TIME Analysis of a fishing rod during the launch.The rod shall rotate 90deg by starting from 0 velocity and must stop at 0 velocity in 0.5sec. So I modeled simply the fishing rod and I done a mechanism to obtaion the curves of acceleration and torque. Unable to play video. Please try again later.(view in My Videos)                           The rod's material is nylon, but it could be any other one that I don't care.Now I'm trying to do the TIME analysis in two different manners: with the base excitation (with the acceleration results) and with the load (with the torque net load results).Apart some inaccuracies in the analysis with the load that I think they are due to the load concentration, what I've firstly seen is that the fishing rod rotation is not 90 degrees...Could you help me?

I for an example i am analysing an assembly of three parts. as here in the picture.   Is it possible to observe or see on one part separately in the result window?   For example, if i want to see only bolt and other parts should be hidden.2 flange with bolt

It's probably the wrong category to post this question, but it seems like the more relevant ones have the 'Start A Topic' button disabled. Anyway, here's the thing-I have a PVZ file of a 3D assembly model, with a disassembly animation sequence created in Creo Illustrate. I have about 200 more models, varying mostly in size and relative location of their parts but there shouldn't be any major differences. I'm looking for a way to create sequences for all of them, probably something automated since creating individual sequences for each one isn't very efficient, to say the least. Is there a way to do that?

I am an engineer at a factory and our company want to purchase a new simulation software. Our manager ask me to compare the software and discuss with the accounting department. Then they will buy for us. I found that the process communicates with the accounting department waste me a lot of time. Because most of them only care about the price. So, how do your company purchase a software?Will you can purchasing for your own then apply for reimbursement or you should ask the accounting department to buy them for you?

Hey Guys,   I'm creating a kind of lift at the moment and want to do this with mechanisms, to see if everything will work fine. But now I don't know which kind of mechanism I need to use... I've created a simple assembly to show you what I like to do.   - The green part is the lifting device which can go up and down - The blue part is the load which will be lifted when the lifting device is on a certain hight (when the lifting device will touch the part). - When the green part is going down, the blue part is going down too, untill it will touch the ground.   I thought that this would be a kind of cam with lift-off, but I don't know how to create this. In attachment you can find my assembly.

As for a simple example, i have 2 parts which is screwed with a preload of 20kn. The parts are in contact with each other.   How would i know the contact force AFTER CALCULATION?   Where could I find it or the process or option to get the value of contact force
