Hello I have a problem with calculating model in Creo Simulate. The only difference of those models is mesh size. Solution on the left has no AutoGEM controm featuresSolution on the right has applied Maximum size AutoGEM control globally 25mm and locally on contact regions 7mm.Why it doesn't converge when AutoGEM has been applied applied?

Good day to you sir I am trying to solve a similar situation for an intermediate shaft in a 2-stage gearbox but not modal analysis rather a simple von Mises  static analysis on the whole shaft length, would like to know how to adapt these loads and constraints and other idealizations to run a similar case, is it necessary to idealize all the whole bearing Assembly like this or just adding 2 spring idealization and a weighted link to the surface area of the acting bearing suffice, as far as the simulation is on the shaft, the consideration of gear teeth doesn't matter so applying torque on the disk with pitch diameter is satisfactory right ? i would like to know how to apply idealized torque on these 2 helical gears while i have 2 fixed bearing holding this shaft and enduring a preload in between. regards

First of all, this is my first MDO project. It is all relatively new for me.I want to get axial reaction forces in a frame of a cylinder housing in order to simulate vibrations.I used 4 pin constraints and created measures on them. They work fine in radial directions, but not in axial direction. Only 1 constraint reacts, no matter what loads I apply.I tried both with a constant force on the piston as a torque motor on the drive-shaft. Most of you Creo guru's will recognize the model.. Which mechanism constrain do I need to get all the reaction forces? The shaft makes 1 revolution in 0.06 sec. Model attached (engine.asm)

I am running Creo 10. I have both Creo Live Simulation (powered by Ansys) and Creo Ansys Simulation. I noticed that under setup in Creo Live simulation, I am able to select "Scope". However, when I look for this option in Creo Ansys Simulation, I don't see it. It'd be convenient to be able to exclude unnecessary components, but still be able to run a more robust Ansys simulation. Is this option available somewhere that I'm not noticing?

I'm running Creo 10 with a Creo Ansys Simulation add-in / license. I have a fairly simple setup with two circular plates touching each other. I've intentionally omitted screens of the parts for proprietary purposes, but the feature tree is below. For some reason, when I try to generate a mesh using a Free contact, it fails. But if I change it to a Frictionless contact, then generate the mesh, then switch back to a Free contact, then re-generate the mesh, it works... I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if I'm just missing something... Below shows the steps of how I'm able to turn on and off the issue: 1) Contact is Free initially, Generate mesh > Mesh Fails2) Change contact to Frictionless, Re-generate mesh > Mesh Succeeds3) Change contact back to Free, Re-generate mesh > Mesh Succeeds4) Change mesh size to low5) Steps 1 thru 3 occur again6) Change mesh size to medium7) Steps 1 thru 3 occur again 

Hello all. Long time Creo user and lurker of these forums. Currently on creo 9 with integrated simulate (not ansys) I have a model of a ball joint made out of 3 pieces of cast aluminium. I have designed an early version of a clamping bracket that i want to make from spring steel. One end of the bracket is fixed to the internals of the aluminium housing body for the ball joint, and the other end will rotate down and be pulled into position by a bolt and a barrel nut. In between these are some formed flanges that will contact and deflect on the ball joint faces as its tightened down. I know the angle of rotation i need to achieved in a prescribed rotational deflection i need to achieve to have this plate reach its final affixed position. I know there will be "large" deformation. However i cannot use the check box to interpret the rotation as radians...so how do i tell it to roate? The input box still says theta...do i put in degrees? arc length?the simulatio

In Creo 6.0, I am trying to create a simulation file that uses the family table to bring in the desired instance. The simulation setups (constraints, forces) fail when switching instances. I believe this is because when selecting surface regions, simulate cannot reference the feature as the part files usually do in the family table. Simulate loses the surface region reference because it is trying to access the specific feature from the specific instance where the simulation setup is created. Is there a way around this, or is this possible in newer versions of creo?

I am trying to run a structure mode analysis for a support plate assembly i have put together. Ive put together an assembly (fully constrained, and all part materials are defined) but I keep getting errors saying that i have cracks in my model.  This prevents me from running any sort of simulation. Ive looked online as to what creo means by cracks and from what i see.  "A crack exists in the model, probably caused by adjacent placement of free or contactinterfaces and bonded interfaces in a configuration that results in multiple coincidentcurves connecting the same pair of nodes. Please modify the interfaces to avoid this."Im unsure of what to do since everything is fully constrained.  nothing is overlapping or has any duplicate parts, and i cant really put the braze in that will hold everything together when this is manufactured. because of this, alot of the assembly has .002 or the like spacing.

I'm wotking on an FEA model and making geometry changes to address high stress area. Everything had been going smoothly, but I'm now getting a fatal error. The model meshes and all appears to be good, but it won't run. Below is the message in the *.err file. It seems to refer to a link and specific edges. It looks like a geometry problem, but I don't know how to find it. I don't know of a way to search for the link or edges by an ID number.   There are no diagnostic messages when I generate the mesh.   Does anyone have a suggestion?    

Hey, I'm trying to make a simulation on Creo Flow Analysis and verify how far a particle is launched by colliding with a rotating part, similar to a fan. What I have tried so far was to make one domain with the fan and where the particles exists, made everything spin and released the particles in the middle, that created a motion but it doesn't match the real blade motion related to the particles.Then I've tried splitting the domain, but when I added the detached domain, as fluid domain and tested with solid domain too, the particles just ignored it, but affected the air motion (only in fluid domain, I've made it rotate faster and it interfered with the particles trajectory). So the problem is, how can I make a rotating object to collide with the particles without interfering the place where the particles are released? The particles may be released at any position above the rotating fan. There is a way to make particles interact with multiples domains?Ther

But the result according to Power=s*e*A*T^4 should be T=314.63 K when I use:A=Area=1m^2 (modeled as a solid or as a surface sphere using shell elements)e=emissivity=1.0Power=power generated within Sphere= 1000W The assumption is this is a sphere in space that does NOT have any solar flux adding heat to it.Why is the answer so different from theoretical? We successfully installed Creo 10.0.4.0 on Azure NC4as_T4_v3, and Ansys simulation is now working. We found new issues: In the CSL fluid study, clicking on the Streamline baton causes Creo to crash. Graphical errors in basic Ansys simulation results. In the advanced results, it works properly, with no graphics issues.

Folks,I am using CREO 7 and I want to understand how CREO sums part weights to arrive at the total assembly weight. Is there code or relation that can be accessed to learn how this is done and where can I find that? Thank you.

We are doing trivially simple analyses in Creo 9.0 Simulate (Not Simulate Live...) and we are consistently crashing the computers.  (Problems taken from or similar to exercises in an SDC textbook.)  See the attached for the specifications on these computers.  I have some students that know a lot about using FEA and they are not having any more success with the classroom computers. What might I (the instructor) try, to stop these crashes?  Do we need to upgrade our computers?  I suspect this is true.  However, are there things we could change/try on these computers that would help?  (See the attached pictures, which I believe have sufficient information for people to comment.)  https://prodart.pl/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/creo9_hardware_notes.pdf This link seems to say that Dell computers with AMD graphics are NOT approved?  And it appears that these computers have AMD GPUs and are Dell computers.Any input I can get would be a
