Hello, What 3D file formats can Isodraw CADPROCESS import?Can Isodraw CADPROCESS import native Inventor files (.iam, .ipt)? Kind regardsDavid

I've imported an illustration of three sheets into Arbortext Editor. How do I get the title to appear on each sheet, with the suffix "Sheet 1 of 3" etc? Currently the title appears on all three sheets, but if I add "Sheet 1 of 3", that's what appears on all three illustrations.

Hello everyone, PDF/UA (in ALD) is a very complex theme as it is a ISO Standard which allows "some" Document structures but "not everything". PDF/X or PDF/A never has such limitations. To find here a way is hard enough. Some of the templates evolve over years with several techniques.There is then a mix of Showstrings, Script, Perl, JavaScript and PI's - or everything which works in the last 20 years. This causes new problems. For example, a <?> disrupt the tagging structure for a PDF/UA.At the end you cannot find a way to a PDF/UA as you never know where the Problems come from.To solve one Problem, the idea was that PTC offer some Samples.Basics (Documentation and Test)1. Product: Arbortext Editor 8.2.2.1 I using window_create() to create an 'edit' window to contain a loaded document. If I just call it with the class parameter of 'edit', I end up with a bare-bones window, no menubar, toolbars, etc.  Looking at what is available for the flags parameter, I can find no option to tell  Editor to just give a window like the one that comes up when launching Editor from the Windows Start menu, or via File->Open. Is there a simple way to obtain the appropriate bitmask for window_create() that represents the defaults?

I am creating an Owner's Manual in Arbortext using DITA2.0 for one of our products.  It is in 5.5" x 8.5" format.  When I try to get the cover to do a full bleed (blue background), I get the KEEP too large - made empty column/frame error, and it stops publishing at the cover.  The document is approximately 100 pages.  I have looked high and low for information on how best to troubleshoot this and am coming up empty handed.Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated. Arbortext Editor/Styler v 8.2.2.1 Thanks,John

I need to modify a batch .xsl style sheets provided to us and add information to the footer and other miscellaneous things. We have Arbortext editor and styler.  How can I bring in and modify the .xsl style sheets?

Hi everyone. Our IsoDraw 7.3 is still connected to Windchill, but after the 12.1.2.0 upgrade, a lot of macros don't work. Checking in and out works fine. Curious if anyone has ran into this error. I downloaded 7.4, but not sure what the next steps would or if that's even part of the solution.

Product: Arbortext Editor 8.2.2.1 I am working on an application that interacts with Editor, mainly the ability to tell editor to open specific documents and to specific locations in those documents. I have encountered a major annoyance when Editor is started via Windows Start menu and when Editor started by my application.  When Editor is started by my application, and I instruct it to open a document, the View -> No Tags option is enabled.  But if Editor was initially started via Windows Start, documents are opened with View -> Full Tags enabled.  If I manually change a No-Tags window to Full-Tags, any subsequent document my application opens is showing Full Tags. I am at a loss on why this happens.  Is there some Editor voodoo that occurs when it is started from Windows Start vs from another application.  When my application starts Editor, I give it no additional start parameters, just vanilla editor.exe. One thing I have

What version of JAVA is needed to run version 8.2?

Product: PTC Arbortext Editor 8.2.2.1 The documentation for the session_add_callback and how the 'quit' callback function is invoked is confusing with regard to how the quit code is documented.  I need the ability to do some proper cleanup with Arbortext process is closing, but not sure how to reliable do this with a quit callback. The code that is passed to the quit callback is 0, 1, 2, but some testing has shown that when called with a '0', the application may not fully exit if the user decides to cancel the quit (e.g. has unsaved edits).  For example, the following scenario happens:I select Exit from the File menu while there is unsaved changes.My callback is called with code equal to 0.  Since I do not know if the application is truly exiting, I have the callback do nothing.The Arbortext then pops up the do-you-want-to-save changes dialog.I cancel the dialog, so the application is still running.I choose exit again.Unsaved-changes dialog pops up again (my ca

Hi,we’re using "tbklnk" for cross-references and hyperlinks. When the link text spans multiple lines, the tagged PDF view shows a separate “Verknüpfen–OBJR”-tag for each line. According to our accessibility expert, this causes issues for users navigating with a screen reader — the hyperlink is not read as a single link, but as multiple separate ones (e.g., three links if it spans three lines).Is there a way to merge these into a single hyperlink element? See attached image. Best regards,Jonas Neumann

Hello,we are currently migrating all clients to Version 12 due to pdf accessibility requirements. However, some clients are still using Version 10 Templates. Despite identical settings, the text layout differs between the versions, as the character width has changed.Is there a way to configure Version 12 so that it matches Version 10 exactly? We tried with the "tw"-PI but we can't get it exactly. Some clients are requesting accessible versions of older jobs, and in those cases, the layout must be identical. See attached images. Best regards,Jonas Neumann

I have a table configured that uses XPath to show text content.  It works perfectly until I hit the count of 6 rows, at that point it is no longer showing the table. Here is the styler before text configuration. Here is the expected result within the editor after applying the changes.Content properly showing with 5 rows.Now, with six rows (Xpath values for Row #6 are the same values than our previous row #5). The content in styler is like below. Table with 6 rows in the styler.And below the empty table result that I get.Table content NOT showing anymore.Do you have any explanation ?

Good Day allI am a new user and am having trouble setting up isodraw 7.3. I have had IT remote into my machine countless times to fix this problem to no avail. The problem is that when I try and Edit Preferences my Grid box is greyed out. Can anyone tell me how I can go about getting this problem taken care of.V/r Johnnie White. 

Hi, My understanding is that the support for MathType introduced in Arbortext 8.3.0 is not entirely complete (limitations for publishing?). Is there a description somewhere of what is supported or not supported?And will the next release be more complete, and when would that be expected? Thanks,Richard Steadman

There was a lot of templates and macros used, Now the Align function and buttons are greyed out.I will re-install ISO in couple days if no solutions so i can keep moving forward. 

We have an issue where we are often left with a level 2 or 3 title and short description stuck on the bottom of a page, while the rest of the topic is on the next page.   What are my options? My thought is to create a rule that would check the room left on the page, and if the title element was within the last 3 in. of the bottom of the page it would start the topic on a new page. Is that possible?   Bryon

Helly everyone The shortcut to delete lines in Isodraw should be F6, this is also noted next to the command in the menu.But instead it I have to press shift as well, which is a very long stretch for my hand. Pressing F6 doesn't do anyhing.I already found out that shortcuts can not be reassignedDoes anyone have an idea how this is possible and how to solve it? I'm using Isodraw 7.4 Thank you very much in advance
