Is there a way to take WildFire 3.0 files back to WildFire 2.0?

Hey everyone, I have heard some rumors that Agile Engineering Data Management isn't doing what was expected by the customers who bought it. Does anyone have experience with Agile EDM and can tell me how well or poorly it interacted with family tables? What kind of things were you required to do to maintain accurate data & relationships, and if you are still working with Agile EDM or if you are attempting to use something else, and what that is.Thanks for any input you can put in to the pot, and yes I will post a summary next week, Brian S. Is there a place where you can get common steel and ductile material files to use with Pro & Mechanica without having to create your own? I had a similar problem years ago with an HP plotter, I was using a printer .pcf file and in that file I listed a similar type printer, and it worked fine. If your using a .pcf ans list the printer as AR-M237, I believe Pro have a pointer to a driver for that name. If you type in a different model number from Sharp, one with similar features it may work for you.My case was an HP750 CM plotter and it would only work correctly with the 650 being called in the .pcf.Might be worth a try,Good luck.Sincerely,Gary DeSantis

Hi pros!I know someone is out there who can shed some light on that. Our EEs are trying to figure out if they need to gothrough the scrutiny of the DO-178 and DO-254 certification and/or require that the software they are using beingcertified by these standards. So, they have asked what and if MEs are using something similar. I have not hearedanything like that and my knowledge on that is limited by some info I have found on Google. It is basically saingthat the software has to keep logs of errors and prevent from catastrophic failures (by FAA) and provide graceful exit. Anybody? Anything?Thank you,Dmitry

How can I create a countersink hole in Wildfire 4.0

Hello, I'm trying to find out how to calculate the I (Area Moment of Inertia. | 1/12BH^3) in Pro|e. If I test a simple block (1x1x1mm) and check the mass properties I can find a couple of inertia values, but I’m not sure witch one to look for. With a 1x1x1 block I would expect a value of 0.08333 somewhere but it is not there. What am I doing wrong? Thanks... Ferry

Hallo, ich arbeite mich gerade in CoCreate ein. Bisher habe ich nur mit Catia gearbeitet und bin von CoCreate sehr positiv überrascht. Ich habe eine Lochplatte mit einem Haufen Rohren in den Löchern erstellt und als Paket gespeichert. Wenn ich jetzt auf Annotation gehe und eine neue Zeichnung erstelle bietet er mir er nur die Lochplatte an, nach Klick auf den Benutzer Button sieht man in der 3D-Vorschau aber auch das ganze Teil. Dann habe ich links in der Struktur alle Teile ausgewählt und unten auf Baugruppe klein gestellt, weils ja mehr als ein Teil ist. Wenn ich dann ausführe zeigt er mir aber nur die Lochplatte in 2D, auch in mehreren Ansichten, aber halt die ganzen Rohre nicht. Wenn ich nur ein Rohr auswähle kann er mir das auch als 2D zeichnen. Wie kriege ich das hin, dass alle Teile gemeinsam angezeigt werden??? Dank und Gruß Philipp

Thank you to Rick H. and Steve S.Steve's method below solved my issue. Apparently I was clicking done/ RTN before trying to save.I did get the mrk file to save to my working dir. Strange thing is that I wasn't able to view the marked up model with PVexpress?BTW - Are people actually using that mark up functionality? Hello, I would like to know what is the pro enginner internet navigator? is it the default computer browser or a navigator created by ptc?

As Chris said, there's a patch at ptc.com that can be applied to WF3 &WF2 to allow you to open newer models. As far as the releases being close together, I find that there's arelative eternity between releases these days. When I started withrelease 18, a new version came out every 6 months. Now it's abouttriple that. Frankly, keeping up with them coming that fast would bechallenging, but the change from version to version was smaller too.Doug Schaefer

I thought at some point in the past, hole notes included the counterboreinformation. I noticed the problem a while back but just didn't havetime to track down the solution. I have a hole that I've created with a counterbore. The hole size iscalled out, but there is no counterbore information or call out (seeattached). Is there a setting for this? ThanxTony

Hallo, ich habe ein Zahnrad als 2d DXF Datei. Dieses Zahnrad würde ich jtzt gerne in ein Modell einfügen und dem Zahnrad eine Dicke geben, sowie mit Löchern versehen. Leider kann ich DXF Datei nicht mit dem 3d Modul bearbeiten. Kann mir hier jemand hilfe stellung geben, wie ich mit dem Zahnrad weiter komme? Gruß Swerix
