previously while using the measure option ( proe 4 or proe 5) i could do this, to get the measurement along coordinate system.but know in creo 2.0 , it does not give the reference of x and y along coordinate system.it just gives the measurement in a box.
Hello Everybody,I just want to tell everybody who uses PTC product and request the managment team to wake up.Look what Solid Works does with other company for "VIRTUAL-HOLOGRAPHIC COMPUTING.Solid works has a partnership with zSpace. This software will be a great deal in every field. This will bring PTC sale so down. I think and I am of the opinion that PTC management teamforgets the bureaucracy and it is high time to think of company growth and the inovation.Thanks.Gautam Vora.
I am trying to locate a manufacturer who makes something like this than fits a #10 pan head screw and has a .25" spade. I have spent the last hour searching the web to no avail and think my term spade is messing with me. I tried quick connect and terminal adaptor but I am having no luck other than this picture from china.Ron[cid:image001.png@01CE0865.443B9E40]

I have a rectangular atmospheric tank (open at the top) that is supported on 4 legs that are fully constrained. The tank is about 1 meter high and is able to hold 20 bbls of water. The atmospheric tank is filled with water and i would like to find analyze the stress acting on the 4 legs. How do i input the hydrostatic forces acting on the tank due to the water. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Anyone can do that today? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!Warm RegardsGuilherme Rocha - Tech ConsultantPLM Solutions do Brasil“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
The following question comes up once every couple of years, so it makes a good blog topic. The question usually goes something like this.“When I twist a circular shaft, why does Simulate show that its radius grows? It shouldn’t, right?”Here’s a picture of a circular shaft that is fixed on one end and with a moment (defined with a total load at point) applied at the other end. If you run the default static analysis and look at the deformed shape, it looks like the radius grew. But that can’t be right.Actually, this is a well-known phenomenon, and is due to the linear approximation used in the default static analysis. In a linear analysis, displacement and rotations are assumed to be small. When rotations are small, the displacement of a point on a disc that rotates is approximately the rotation (measured in radians) multiplied by the distance of the point from the center of rotation. When showing the deformed shape of such a rotation in Simulate, all displacements are exagger
how to apply bearing constarints at the end of the shaft as shown in the image below?
Thanks to Ben Franklin, he provided me with a list of almost 2500 wordshe developed. I combined that with the list PTC provides (which sucks, read on). Removed duplicates, removed misspelled words (PTC, really, you know howmany errors your file has?) and all of the Windchill object and codebasetype words (ah, why would I want "manageInWindchill", "pecific" or"wtPartMaster"?) And now I have a list of 12000 words. Still doesn'thave all of our materials or vendors in it, but users are adding thoseas they come up. Anyone who would like the list, let me know and I will send it. ~Dan Dan HarlanMechanical Engineer / CAD Administrator480.940.0036 x178 Office480.940.0039 Facsimile 481 N. One annoying thing i have found in Creo 2.0 is related to sketching sections for blend....if we change the default orientation while sketching the first section....then the orientation for the subsequent section doesnot take the orientation of the first as a result of which we have to cancel everything and sketch the section in default orientation only...can something be done regarding this?
I have the Manikin extension and I can bring in, position and save manikins but I can't figure out how to change to 5th percentile or 95th percentile population or how to access viewing cones. I'm using WF4. Is there a library I need to download?
I am designing this radial engine (see image), and have to put in the holes for the cylinder heads all around the crankcase. As you can see I have put in 8 of the holes, but I have to repeat this process 4 more times for a total of 40 holes. Is there an easy way to copy the holes in groups and move them to the other faces? For example take the group of 6 on the left face, and copy them as one unit. Thanks

Good morning.Despite the unquestionable utility of this site, since we are still using a 'steam' version of Pro/E, I still have recourse to the old favourites now and then. This is not least the case when I search for something using the Pro/E Google search page (http://www.google.com/cse/home?cx=006113924200468266337:gsg6fhvm6hc😞 Many of the results refer to MCADCentral.com.However, when I click on one of the search results, expecting to be transported to the relevant forum post, I am actually rewarded with the Homepage of MCADCentral (http://www.mcadcentral.com/forum.php) Guess what, when I use the same terms in the search on that page, the results returned are, at best, somewhat different. In fact, they are generally pretty much irrelevant. Is it me? Am I doing something wrong? Is MCADCentral broken? Where have all the search results returned by the Google search gone?I look forward to your (helpful) advice.Regards,JohnWF2/4, Ilink 3.3/3.4
Hello guys, we are having problems adding the fixed half clamping screws. As you can see in the image below, the offset value gets this awesome number. The Moving half its ok.
Does anyone have a materials file for polypropylene (PP) that they would be willing to share?TIABob Frindt
Very frustrating and time consuming to have to constantly change from normal to coincident. This has happened ever since I switched to Creo and don't understand why they would make a default mate a normal orientation...Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks,Aaron
Hi,I have opened this case for a technical support from PTC. The following was responsed by a technician:"As I informed you that, this functionality is currently not available in Creo parametric or Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire; however you can file an enhancement request for that. Use this link to file a request."Does someone know how to display the FULL break boundary linese in a broken view?Parameter/setting that can display the FULL Break boundary lines (s-shape/heart-shape) in a broken view

I am trying to create a 'boundary blend' in Creo Elements/Pro 5.0 Schools Edition, and am finding that the 'boundary blend' button is greyed out. Is this because I have Schools Edition and not the commercial version?
I am trying to make a focus for the front of a flashlight (see the attached file). I can make the shape with a revolution, but I want to shell it and put a hole for a light on the small end. Can someone offer advice on the best way to do this? Thanks!
