Hello Everyone! A couple weeks ago the vuforia studio app mentioned there was an update available. So I went and proceeded with the update, and ever since then, my Vuforia will not open. I checked the task manager and noticed that 'Node.JS: Server-side Java Script Suspended.'  Even if I go into the resource monitor and resume it, the Vuforia App does not open. I only noticed this problem since the update. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling - in which the APP was able to load, only once with no issue, but the next day the same error message occured. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.   Thank you

I have tried this with multiple models and experience servers and so I can only conclude that this is an issue with vuforia view. The issue appears if you freeze the camera and then select/change the sequence. The issue doesn't happen if you select the sequence and then freeze the camera but as soon as you try to change the sequence with the camera frozen, the blackout issue happens. This issue is present in Vuforia View 8.5 and 8.5.1. I tested this with Vuforia View 8.4.3 and the blackout issue did not happen.    (view in My Videos)  

Hello, I am working with a model that I created a single sequence in CREO Illustrate.  It is a simple car moving down an assembly line.  I wanted to see if it was possible to just start this sequence immediately once the model has loaded up when starting vuforia instead of having to tie it to a button or something else to get it to start running.   Is there a way to do this?   Thanks!   Andrew

I was working through the Fundamentals of AR Development course and when placing a popup widget, it states to select "Hide from canvas".  The option is not available and looks to be missing since ~8.11.  Any updates?

Hello Everyone,   I realy need a Tree-like structure in the 2D View of my AR-Application. The Data comes from a Infotable which is already correctly structured (at least it shows the tree correctly in a Mashup tree)   I haven't found this particular widget but is there maybe a way to either create such a tree through javascript in "home.js" or to expand one of the existing Widgets with the needed functionality (maybe Repeater or similar)?   Any hints are appreciated very much!   Thank you in advance.   Best Regards, Dominik

Hi all   I would like to check how the Vuforia Studio resellers manage  the Studio access online.   Every 15 days I need to write so many emails, contact PTC local office and get the license.  By the time I am half way through the project, the access expired. Very tired of this process and discouraging to support this product.   Is there  no alternate methods of getting long term access? Why this product is so special unlike other PTC products for which we normally get long term reseller license?   - Ravi

Hello Community,   I have been working sometime with Vuforia Studio to make textures working with FBX /OBJ files (textures are in jpeg/png format) to have little bit more realistic models in experience. I have been observing following interesting behavior:   - With OBJ: You need to zip obj + mtl + textures as same name as the obj file. For example Car_Model.obj -> Car_Model.zip and textures will show. But drawback at least with my obj files is that is 1 single item (no possibility for model items to make explode or changing colors etc) - With FBX: You need to zip the fbx + textures as same name as the fbx BUT you can't have any any CAPS in fbx file or zip file. For example Car_Model.fbx - > Car_Model.zip won't bring the texture. But if you rename car_model.fbx -> car_model.zip, textures will show. And the model items are working.   Just want to share and ask has anyone else seeing same behavior.    Best regards,   Juho-Matti

what is the difference between vuforia studio partner trial version and actual license? I also want to know the how many users access the vuforia experience on view once its published on studio both on partner trial version as well as actual license version?

Recently my Chalk app which is part of a Chalk for Business account has stopped showing the "Start a Session" option. It now only shows "Join a Session" like the free account does. I have a customer having the same issue. Is this something anyone else has seen?

The Vuforia View app on the HoloLens is stuck in sleep mode. I have restarted the device, and the only solution I have found is to uninstall & then reinstall the app. However after closing Vuforia View, and attempting to reopen it, it becomes stuck in sleep mode.   Has anyone encountered this?   I intentionally gave this almost the same exact name as @bwhelan's post from 2018, since I can't reply to it, and it didn't resolve my problem. Microsoft is no longer performing updates on the HoloLens 1, so something else is causing the issue. Any ideas? @RolandRaytchev  @jremb 

I recently changed my Vuforia password, so I know that is not the issue. When I try to sign-in on the Vuforia View app, I am told my credentials are invalid. When I attempt to reset my password and enter the verification code, I am told "Your email address is now verified. Click "Continue" to reset your password." However, when I click "Continue," I am told, "An account could not be found for the provided user ID." I am using Vuforia View on an IOS device.

Did anybody figure out how to automate publishing to on-prem server? I figured that I can automate creation of pvz file and using pvaroptimizer.exe create high, medium and low fidelity of the model. Let say I always will use low as a default, than I can create a Vuforia project with default dummy pvz file in it and replace that pvz with the one I export from Creo (change naming and so on). It does work manually, I want to automate this process now. 

Right now I have a model with various model items as its children. The behavior I am looking for is to have the user tap/click on the correct model item to advance the animation/sequence.   What I think would help get me accomplish my task is to either: A) Have it so that on-click I bind the next model item with a ".svc.play" and unbind the previous model item so that way the user cannot click on the wrong parts to trigger the next sequence   B) Have an if-else statement on the javascript side to track and verify that the correct model item is clicked then have it play the next sequence.   Does anyone know how to bind/unbind the services via javascript?

Is it possible to integrate Vuforia Experience Service on Premise on the Windows Server 2008 R2 version? Have you already tried it? It works. regards, Matteo

Copying an existing experience and giving it a new name does not change the name in the json metadata, so when you view both the duplicate and the original in the experience server, they have the same name. This leads to confusion of course.   To recreate this glitch: Create a new experience in Vuforia Studio (TEST-123) Publish to your Experience Server Go back to Vuforia Studio & click Save As --> Give the duplicate a new name (DUPLICATE-123) Publish this duplicate Turn on your HoloLens Vuforia View app. --> "Hey View", "Show Library" The library will show two experiences with identical names: TEST-123 & TEST-123   Related feature that would be very useful: The ability to see & manage experiences stored on your Experience Server(s) (instead of only seeing the project library local to your machine). This UI could be a simple extension of Vuforia Studio, or it could be a stand-alone program only accessible on the ES itself.

Hello,   We have deployed the Experience service on-premises and tested experience on iphone device through http connection.   After that we have deployed the self-signed certificate on ES service and configured the Vuforia Studio with Env variable and vuforia view with profile setting but not able to see the experience in Vuforia view app.   Can somebody tell the reason. why we can't see the experience on iphone

I have registered as Partner and Admin, but I can login as only user not as Administrator for my Organization.
