Good day folks, This is Edward, I’m working on the generation of drawings with CREO Parametric with repetitive steps. I want to automate the generation of the same and found that by using a function called "Drawing Program" I can do it. However, I am new to this topic. I would like to know where I could start, some book, video, example, etc. , which can serve as a reference for me to be able to make sketches. Thanks in advance.
Currently using Creo version 9.0. I'm running into a situation where hole patterns show up in purple on drawings, even when things such as hidden quilts are checked off, and the display style is set to "no hidden". I've got an example below. The strange thing is that these don't show up immediately; I will put the view into place in the drawing, save and close out my work. When I open the drawing the next work session, they show up out of nowhere. I've verified that specifically, this occurs with patterns or mirrors of holes. The parent feature doesn't show up like this, only the child features. I can find them on the model tree and manually hide them, but for larger parts or assemblies this can be very tedious as it has to be done for each individual pattern on every part. These are particularly annoying because they show up when you export. Is there a setting to stop this from happening?
I have a few older Mathcad files. Some as old as v2001i. I would like to read the files to see if there is anything usable. I tried the free Mathcad version, but it will not open the files. Is there a way to see the files without Mathcad. I did have a license 20+ years ago, but not todayThank You
Hi, I´m new at creo 10.0, I have the task to find a solution for my problem. I have to find a way to build a part, which I can use as a reference model for the moulding process. The model have to be extern the real original cad model and bring some declerate references such as dimensions, surfaces and datas. Important is, the original model do never change, if i will work at the new copy model. Do anyone know a way, how I can do the implementation ? Thank you very much
Anyone deep dived into why symbol show broken?. For me everything looks and works good otherwise. I am definitely missing something. Hope it's not of great importance : ) C PIC. THANKS IN ADVANCE all Pundits! (Gurus)
I am using Creo 10 to create cable routing. I have a cable I'd like to edit its "To" location, but I cannot figure out how to delete or edit the current one. Everything else, locations and "From" locations are fine and there is no need for edit. Is there a way to do this before I delete and rerun?
Hi,We add multiple images to our Creo 3D cad model. But i can not control it through layers states, I want to show one image in one Combined state in MBD and want to show second image in other Combined state. Is their any process/method creo parametric we have. I am not able to find any on helptext.
Hi, how I can Build a reference Molding Tool Model in Creo 10.0I need a model which I can use some Parameters (Size, Material, Molding Part, number of pusher, handling variant) If I change the Parameters, the Model is still the reference model, but with the new sizes which come from the parameters.
Hi,I am creating one hole feature in part. When i am adding annotation element to show custom note of radius of hole, It shows dimensions in metric units. But part is in imperial units.Example, i have created one hole, its dimension in 0.625 inch. It should show same in note, but when i add it in note, it shows 15.9. I checked little bit. it is showing, displayed value, but i need real dimension value in note. Is their any way to do it, please let me know.My part unit system is Inch-LBs
Hi, I have an old Mathcad sheet and I am not sure why I can not get the final solution.
We recently moved to CED 20.6.2.0Now some models are not visible. Both in assemblies and loaded as single model. They ARE present in the structure browser, but they don't show up in the viewport. When "double clicked" they do highlight in the viewport. For some models changing the resolution makes them visible (although other models with the same resoltion are visible).Copying the invisible model makes the copy visible.Modifying the invisible model makes it visible.
Hello, I have a user who we recently installed a new license for to his machine. He went from a floating to a locked license and now the advanced assembly set and expert machine set don't function. When he opens creo he gets a license warning stating features not obtained: Advanced_assembly_set and Expert-Machine_set. We've checked the license file and those modules are listed. Is there a potential compatibility issue here? As he is running creo 8 but the license is for creo 11. Has anyone else ran into this issue before? I'll attach the picture of the error also.
What is the step / way to rename HARNESS in Creo Cabling. See image attached. THANKS IN ADVANCE! Yo
Hello, I would like to create a custom legend that uses the values of an attribute from the EPMdoc, except that I would like to limit the number of decimal places displayed or remove the zeros.see image in attachments 0.940000 should display as 0.940.600000 should display as 0.60.900000 should display as 0.9 Is there an argument that allows us to master this?regards,Arnaud
I am running Creo 10.0.6.0 in combination with a CAD management system, OpenBom we are going to be moving to a better system Windchill or team centre. We also use Github to share config files.I found that I could add exit counter sinks to holes something that we had not used so instead had an unattached note added to a hole note stating both sides for a double countersink. We use a combination of simple holes which I also parametrized and ISO standard holes. In this image it shows the exit countersink option greyed out as its not a through hole which I understandIn this image that option is gone, Why?I am in 2 different sessions both in Creo 10.0.6.0. The first image was taken with a part outside OpenBom and the second was in OpenBom, though I don't think that will affect anythingI initially thought that it was due to Creo versions but when I updated to Creo 10.0.6.0 from 10.0.3.0 on a test laptop it did not have the option. What is defining whether exit countersink option is
Hi all,I have an assembly and its associated drawing with same name. I'm trying to develop a toolkit program that replaces assembly component using interchange groups. The assembly updates succesfully, but when I checks the drawing, the dimensions turn purple indicating that the references are being lost. But when I try to perform the exact interchange group replacement manually through Creo UI, both the assembly and drawing updated correctly with no issue. Below is the simplified version of my implementation:Modify skeleton and Regenerate the assembly.ProSolidRegenerate((ProSolid)asm_model, PRO_REGEN_NO_FLAGS).Replace the component using ProAssemblyAutointerchange().Regenerate the assembly (ProSolidRegenerate(asm_solid, PRO_REGEN_NO_FLAGS).Refresh the model tree ProTreetoolRefresh(asm_model).Set the current window to drawing window(ProWindowcurrentSet)Activate the drawing window(ProWindowActivate)Regenerate the Drawing sheet using ProDwgSheetRegenerate()I've tried various co
I noticed in Creo 10 that if I save a model tree configuration showing specific columns etc, that it is saving as a .ui file. It appears to me that this file is saving more than just the columns displayed in the model tree, it's saving all the modifications to the .ui that are present in the current session of Creo. I find this a bit disconcerting. I only want to have a file that changes what columns are displayed in the model tree. Which is what the .cfg file did and still does in Creo 10, but there appears to be no way to create a .cfg file in Creo 10. We have in our loadpoint a .ui file that all users see. Then in the cache location we have a .ui file that is specific to that division. Both of these are really only to adjust what additional tabs are in the ribbon, but I found out today that they don't just control ribbon, they control all aspects of the Creo UI. We have different startup for editing the ribbon, one for the load point ribbon, one for
Hallo We are working today to reduce 2D drawings in our company. I am trying to put up gd&T in a drawing which was prepared by someone earlier. Now when I put any gd&T the primary unit 0.001 the secondary unit comes to be [0.02] instead of rounding up to 0.03. In previously made drawing the values are rounded up. See attached image. The red encirceld one is the new gd&T I put today.Does anyone know how can I round it up? I am using Creo 4.0.Any help on this is highly appreciated. Thanks so much!
Hello, I am not able to unlock protoolkit and getting error message. error attached here.Is this need separate license or Creo license is enough to unlock?
Hi,We have MathCad Prime license. Please help me find the Mathcad Prime version 10 to download.Kind regards,Xiaojiang
Hello, I have an assembly that includes various fastening elements such as bushings, bolts, etc. I would like to create a workshop drawing, just for the bushings. On one sheet, I want to have all the bushings that are in the assembly, with different views, and a table with the name and quantity of each bushing in the assembly, and of course, marked with a BOM. I am trying to do this, but I am having trouble linking the table to the assembly and individual parts. Is it even possible to do this? Thanks !
Cannot open native: SW2022*.sldprt, *.sldasm files in Creo9 - keeps showing error:'M059183C001.SLDPRT' cannot be opened because it was previously opened using newer release of Creo.'M047886C001.SLDASM' cannot be opened because it was previously opened using newer release of Creo. We were able to do this in the past with no issues We are using: Windchill 12.0.2.7, SW2022, Creo9, WWGM13.02.1 any ideas on what might have caused these files to not open now in Creo9?seems to be a Windchill issue? thanksRich
IFX in Creo 10.0.4.0When using IFX it standard creates holes in modifiable parts. When you don't want that you have to set it manually each time to "Do not create a hole".Is it possible to have it default always set to "Do not create a hole" for all parts?
