Hey all,I'm a mech e student using mathcad for the first time for my thermodynamics class.Been having a tricky time figuring things out, and already hit a wall. Not really sure how to figure this out, and I don't recall seeing any previous topic that helped, so any assistance would be appreciated.Attached is a screenshot of the issue.
Hi comunity, I need to calculate an Integral of data vectors like shown in the image.Outside the for loop Mathcad has no problem with convergence, but inside the loop MC returns the error message. Is there a trick here, or is this generally not possible?Greetings and many thanks in advanceMichael
Hey guys, i am using PTC Creo Parametric 7.0 (Student Edition) I created a thread on a pin. Unfortunately, it does not really show the outlines (actually the inner lines) of the thread: My visibility option is on "only show visible edges / lines"If I select "show also not visible edges / lines", creo will show the whole thread but also everything else, which is not good for me. Can somebody help me with this problem? Greetings, Spedex
Hi Every one,I am new to Creosim.I am trying to simplify a connection using combination of spring idealisation and contact interface. Two separate parts are assembled with these connections in parallel. When the connection is under compression, we have contact and spring is compressed. When the connection is under tension the contact is released and there is no force for the spring.1. I am not sure if is it possible to have contact between spring end and second part ? Ifound for the contact we need a surface, so do I need to define a surface between spring and second part or it is possible to have contact interface between a point and a body?Because of number of conections I am looking for a quick and easy method. Only I am looking for the force at connection when it is under compression.Any help is appreciated.
Creo 8.0.11 Hi folks, 👇here, my headache... I want to have a fine mesh in a region of this column because I need to insert it into a bigger assembly for a Contact Analysis. I know that "mapped meah" isn't that kind of mesh control that is passed to higher assembly level, but I want to test here to already know how to mesh it in the higher assembly. But I don't know why I can't mesh properly. I also tried to mesh in this manner. It works for the external elements, but I can't be able to make the wedge inside. Do you have any suggestion?
Hi,I've tried to replace the Ground Springs with simple ones in order to can run also a Large Deformation Analysis. It fails...but I don't know why...
When importing emn files directly in Creo Parametric, is it possible to set the default import of emn files to Assembly mode instead of Part mode? According to PTC eSupport article - CS398256, It's not part of Creo Parametric functionality. Now I recommend that PTC improve in future Creo releases.
I have a student mathcad license on my other computer and wanted to move it to a new computer but can't seem to figure out how. At this point I am open to just purchasing a new student license but I also can't figure out how to do that either.
(Using Creo 8.0.9.0) I'm fairly new to Creo (under 2 years of experience with 5+ yrs of other CAD software experience prior) and I am looking for some advice on best practices for using layers in Creo drawings. I've previously struggled with layers when trying to make some skeletons visible in drawings but not others (similar to how you could hide features in the model tree in an assembly or part). The goal is to have the one particular skeleton visible in the drawing but hidden in the model (while other skeletons are hidden). This is the way it has been done previously at my company with large assemblies that contain multiple skeletons. Most of these situations end with frustration because hiding or showing a layer does not work to hide or show the feature contained within the layer. I realize I could just create a simplified rep for each view, but I would like to figure out layers for consistency with other company files (I'd also like to learn how to use layers in general!
I need to extract named coordinate system and its values from cad assembly. I know there are methods available in creoparametric toolkit. But it become inefficience considering number of cad and size of cad. Is there a possible way to extract the details from published light weight binary files (OL).Saw some methods in Creoview toolkit
Hi all,I am plotting a phasor (magnitude @ angle) on a polar plot in MCAD 15. I'm doing it in 15 because I want to make an animation as the phasor changes. Here is the output: https://relayman.org/temp/e/output.mp4 The red dot you see moving around in the video is the endpoint of the phasor. What I would like is for MCAD to leave a red dot at each location along the way - so in the end I would have a plot of the locus of those endpoints. Something like the attached image. thanks
Hello everyone!I’am trying to solve an optimización problem using minimize function but get an error “This variable is undefined”.What am I doing wrong?CarlosRomero
I can Install M15 on Windows 11, it does basic calculations, but will not insert controls or links to spreadsheets. No error messages are given. It ran fine on my previous laptop running Windows 10. What is missing ?
The solve block is not finding a solution. I'm using Mathcad Prime 10But using the same formula I can iterate a solution I think is convenient enough. What am I doing wrong?I though maybe changing TOL or CTOL would be the solution but no.
Hi mates, Could you someone tell me how to add leading zero for BOM sl.nos, and qty column like 01,02,03... Instead of just 1, 2, 3... In creo 7 or latest? Thanks in advance
Hi,I have a situation where I need to express a number to 8 decimal places in a drawing. I have created a parameter in the model as a string due to the number of digits in the raw number.Unfortunately when attempting in the standard approach in the drawing [.8] does not work after the &parameter, is there another syntax I need to use with this not being a real number? The number is: 0.00654322641148869I cannot enter the parameter as a real number due to the precision limitation on these values, hence using string.Hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction.
ok. something you just need to reach out to the power users. I'm working in Prime 8 and have a simple spread sheet. not knowing all the available size if I enter a number, I should get the nearest available number to pull data. This should be simple right.
Hello, I need to open STEP file in creo using VB API.Can you kindly help me with the code to import STP in creo. Thanks in advance.
HelloWhen opening this step-file on my Creo 8.0.9.0 I get the whole part, also with the all the inside geometry (which I don't need to know). The file is way to big to work with it in my assemblies. Is there an import-setting or something that I can do to just import the 'outer surface' of the part? The inside can be a solid for me.Thanks in advance,Pieterjan
I am using Creo Simulate Release N/A and DatecodeN/AHi Team,Our users are facing issue in reaching out to one of our License serverWe can see in logs and LM Tools that service is running but still users are facing issue. Need Urgent support on this. Here are the errors that I faced
Hello everyone,Could someone help me figure out why the options in the outputs of m and n programs are repeating, while the program k works fine? Is there anything i should change in Bop() function?Attached the Mathcad sheet.
I'm trying to write a program in Mathcad, but stuck on this step highlighted below. How to insert the second line in the bracket as show below for return function, thanks

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0Hi!We are CD6, a company in Spain.I need 2 solutions about the program. My company use Creo for design pieces with 3d. One of this problems is when I change the inches to milimeters, always need go to the change and put this. I prefer to put this for 1 time and if I close and next on this program or the computer, always have this change permanent and don't go to the change and repeat this every day.The other thing is when I do the plans in 2d, always have the third angle projection and in Spain use the first angle. This is other problem for me and for the company because the other companies need the first angle. Can I change this? Thanks for all,Nil CG
I am using Creo 9.0.8.0.There are some welding instructions that can be selected in the welding symbol but cannot be selected from the welding application. Is there a way to select the same instructions as the symbol in the welding application? -----------------------------------------------------------------Translated topic from Japanese to English using google translateSubject - 溶接アプリケーションでの溶接指示Body: Creo9.0.8.0を使用しています。溶接シンボルでは選択出来る溶接指示でも、溶接アプリケーションからは選択出来ない指示があります。シンボル同様の指示を溶接アプリケーション内で選択する方法はありますか?- By Community Moderation Team-----------------------------------------------------------------
