CREO 8.0.5.0. Parametic / Manufacturing / Material Removal SimulationWhen closing material removal simulation in manufacturing, CREO is crashing. In the past, I have chalked it up to be a large amount of sequences(Large programming file). But today, it has crashed more than a handful of times. And the program has only 7 sequences so it is on the smaller side. I tried to re-create the crash and not been able to do it. I have made a point to close the same way every time inside of the material removal simulation. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? And how to fix it.
is there a recommended way to package the install of creo via intune? and is there an easier way to set the config settings? the config for schools.bat is all well and good for one PC but i need to send this to up to 30 computers
as far as I know it's a problem that exist at least since PRO-E WILDFIRE 3.still present in CREO 9. every time that I edit a view on the drawing, to rotate that view (i.e. a 3D view of the assembly or part), the planes show-up and I have to manually remove the visibility of these planes.it's happening every single time.if I toggle the visibility off then close the editing view (Drawing View) then I'll redo it again, the problem came back again; rotating the view toggle the visibility of the planes back again and I have to remove manually.the problem is limited to when you use the "View Orientation > Angles" part to orientate the view.if you rotate the view with the other orientation method the problem will not appear. before asking there I tried to read articles, search on-line etc. and I can't understand if it's the cad not properly set-up or it's something that has been designed that way.maybe it's me that wasn't able to find the right search keywords?I tried also search
Hello to all,After converting a Mathcad 15 file to Prime 10, I encountered an issue with calculating the gradient of a vector function. While it works seamlessly in Mathcad 15, the same function does not yield the expected results in Mathcad Prime 10. Is there anyone familiar with this issue who can tell me what needs to be adjusted or modified in Mathcad Prime to make it work?I am attaching a file with the function and the gradient, as I converted it from Mathcad 15 to Prime 10. I really appreciate any help you can provide. Rogelio
I am suffering a similar (though much more repeatable issue). When we as a company upgraded to Prime I was the only one that could not use the symbolic engine & when I raised the issue it was fixed within 2 weeks. Since then I have had a laptop upgrade & it has reappeared.a repeat of the IT ticket has not resolved the issue. Even the simplest task causes the symbolic engine to crash: is the final response after many minutes of the sunflower twirling. Sheet is attached, but probably not helpful as I can give it to colleagues who don't get the same problem. For them it quickly returns the expected 4/9result. I keep harassing Martin the local IT guy, but all he can do is refer it up the chain & hits a wall. Any suggestions of things to try would be appreciated. ThanksAndy (too)
I'm reading the following article (https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS420647): Trying to unbend sheetmetal through Creo's C++ TOOLKIT provided example (without user interaction) results in memory access exceptions no matter what I do. Looking for alternative solutions, I've found the article above. At the end, it says I could use the following functionsProCmdSmtFlatPat()ProCmdSmtUnbend()Using Creo's interactive mode, but I can't find any reference forthis mode neither for the functions listed.Where can I find these two functions?
Hi guys, can someone assist me with this one please? Seems like it should be fairly straightforward but it's got me stumped! A bit long-winded to explain so bare with me. I have data representing mass of concentric steel pipes and mass of the cement in the annuli of the pipes, bonding the pipes together, in separate arrays. The pipes/cement are long and get cut into manageable lengths. The columns in each array represent the remaining mass after each cut. The rows in each array represent each pipe or cement 'donut'. Hopefully this diagram helps, which is a cross-section through the pipes/cement, looking at one half only. The black bits are the pipes (3x), the orange is the cemented annuli (2x) and the red represents the interfaces between each pipe and the cement - 'cement bonds', of which there are 4:This is the array for the pipes (3 pipes, 6 cuts):This is the array for the cement (2 cemented annuli, 6 cuts):I have an array for the number of cement bonds:And an array for the num
Hi, i'am using Creo Illustrate 9.1.Is it possible to rename the parts in the sbom with "use alternate part names" in a way, that a published U3D-file has the alternative part names? At his point this feature just uses them to display the names in the sBom, but doesn't really rename anything.
Hello,Do any of you have a script for calculating a pseudoinverse matrix nxm?I found a script here, but it is written in Mathcad 15 and unfortunately I don't have a licence to convert it to prime. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Programming-example/td-p/229552 ThanksMichael
Dear PTC CEO and programers. Deae PROE FANSI wrote this to the PTC, but no response. Forward message>I am using PROE WF5 PRO/nc as cad/cam system CAD is OK I like it. BUT!!! CAM-PRO/NC is not a CAM. When you make something new it is 80% buttons an menus, but engine is the same all the time. You are making olny small changes. Your "CAM" can not compute toolpaths on backround (multitasking)It is not using multiple core technology, I am siting on my chair an waiting for hours. (I have XEON64bit 8GB RAM HP Z400) So wake up PTC. You have a lot of bugs in your "CAM" I am not your employe tester. Bugs are in re-rough, Rough, Finishing, Profile, local mill and surface steps. There are bugs and engine is not good too. I am using EDGECAM too. If you will sleep, I will throw proe away.(to the recycle bin) Sorry for my english. It is bad, but it is better then then your "CAM" You have two options 1.new engine for PRO/NC 2.integrate pro/toolmaker in pro/nc Bukaj
I am using Mathcad Prime Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Trying to use basic ODE solvers like rkfixed within a solve block. My goal is to solve a pair of nonlinear ODEs (intial value problem) which are not linear in the highest derivative term, using state space if possible. I need to use the iterative solver block because reducing the ODEs to standard form is quite difficult. the odesolve function cannot handle these equations. Are the basic solvers usable in a solve block for this type of problem? If so, an example sheet would be very helpful, the documentation and forums have not been enough. I have begun trying to solve the simple spring/mass system this way, before tackling the full equations, but not yet successful. Here are the errors that I facedVariable undefined. Unable to form derivative matrix (odesolve).
Need help moving the license from the old server to the new server. Don't have the access to download the software. Can't log a proper ticket as the site won't let me. me. Can someone please assist by providing:1. Instructions to do this2. Code3. Advise how to move my Flexserver licensesThank you
I’ve written a program that monitors Creo and logs the activity in the software. It’s not like a trail file, but similar in that it uses plain easy to understand text to log software operations. It tracks all the various features and functions including save, undo, cancel, errors, and it even warns of mistakes like weak dimensions and other bad habits. It can document modeling operations in real time. Let me know if you’re interested in trying it. At the end of a days modeling session you can copy and paste this output to produce a report like this: Creo Session Summary ReportThis report consolidates the analysis of a Creo session, including the most used features, a breakdown of mouse usage, and potential areas for improvement based on the data. Report: Most Used Creo FeaturesBased on the analysis, the following Creo features were utilized most frequently: Redefining a FeatureOccurrences: 103 timesDescription: This feature was used extensively for modify
I am unable to create a 3D area diagram for the function h(a,u) defined in the attached file (MC14). Please help me.Sunday greetings, Alfred Flaßhaar
Hello all,I'm encountering an issue while converting numerous DXF files to PDF format using a Creo Mapkey. The generated PDF automatically opens in another application, interrupting the Mapkey process. This behavior persists even after changing the default PDF application. Any alternative suggestion to avoid this will be much helpful.
Dear, I have a dataset where the first column represents the index of a vector and column 2,3 and 4 the three possibilities. The first row contains the classification for a specific condition. The dataset has been manipulated to align these indices and classifications. My vector, for example, have this format:: However, I'm having trouble getting the vertical-horizontal lookup (VHLOOKUP) to search for each element in my vector and correctly return the value at the intersection based on the classification assigned to each vector element. Anything I tried returned 3x1. I have tried it all from the similar post:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/Use-vlookup-over-a-vector/td-p/482509 Prime 9 attached.
When I add an inspection circle to some dimensions, the dimension line extends more than required. In the following figure, this condition is shown, could anyone help me adjust it (PTC Creo 2)?
In the attached MathCad worksheet is an embedded excel file that has VBA apps in it. It takes data input and calculates to values C and C` or is suppose to. The excel file "CANDCPRIME.XLS" on its own works fine but once it is inserted in to MathCad it is being blocked by Microsoft as "untrusted". What do I have to do to make it run inside MathCad. It use to just fine but I haven't used this MathCad worksheet for a few years because my work did not include a lot of steel design. I am using a subscription to Microsoft Office 365 and have tried to modify all the security and "Trusted" stuff I could find to allow this to run. And ass I mentioned above by itself runs perfectly. Put all the files attached in the same location.Any help is appreciated. Thank you,John
Hi All! My creo is creo Parametric 10.0.3. How does the wfcAssemblyExpressionRule works ? Can not find any details. Situation goes like: There is a part with given parameter like YEAR with value 2012. Part is child of "activeAssembly" After calling ListComponentsByAssemblyRule with expression "YEAR==2012" I got something in message window like : WARNING: Symbol '䋐ȃ' not found in model XXXXXXXX. Retrieving submodels. where '䋐ȃ' is totally random and varies form run to another. LogTrace shows that everything is ok with expression string and model. String is std::string passed by copy to local function. Result is always empty. Here are lines of code xstringsequence_ptr stringSeq = xstringsequence::create(); stringSeq->append(expression.c_str()); const auto rule = wfcAssemblyExpressionRule::Create(stringSeq); &n
Hello, I am using mathcad prime 10.0 and have created a program to solve for F_rated. I then want reference this program in a for loop, however it says the inputs to the function must be integers. Outside the for loop the equation works fine so I am a bit confused.
I use Creo Elements/Direct Drafting (Mixed UI). I want to turn on Part brower as the below picture to manage layout. Please guide me how to turn it. I appreciate your prompt response.
Hi, I have a MC15 calculation-sheet of 200 pages that have been converted to Mathcad Prime 9.0 that runs extremely slowly and which im now looking to optimize. Changes in input that in MC15 would have taken 5-10 seconds to recalculate can now take upwards of 5 minutes or more before the sheet is updated. I've been trying to read up on ways to speed up processing in Mathcad Prime and have read that size of matrices, the use of If-statements and possibly the use of "strings" in aforementioned matrices may be culprits. Which optimizations do you believe would bring me the biggest improvements in calculation speed as opposed to how MC15 was working? Does anyone have any recommendations how i should go about rewriting If-statements? (see attached picture of an example) Im going to see if i can break up the sheet in parts and work on a part separately. Then i can also upload said part here for you to partake in. Kind regards,Johan
We bought Mathcad earlier this year. I believe we bought it in February. I have a new computer and just went to install it. I downloaded and installed Mathcad Prime 10. When we pointed to our license server, it doesn't work -- we only get Express functionality. My IT guys think I need to download Mathcad Prime 9 and that the problem is that our license doesn't support 10. That surprised me because we only bought it a couple of months before the update, but the message seems to indicate that could be the problem. See below: 8/15/2024 10:49:42 PM : The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...7788@XXXlicense003: (-21) License file does not support this version. If I need to download 9, how do I do that? Or do we need a new license file on our server to reflect the update and allow 10 to work? Thanks
We are experiencing an issue with borrowed licenses. We installed Creo 10.0.3.0 (we also run Creo 7.0.4.0) and since the Creo 10 install, Creo 7 will only run when connected to the network, and will not run from a borrowed license. We appear to be correctly borrowing a license using the ptcborrow.bat in "C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 10.0.3.0\Parametric\bin" folder. Creo 10 will run from the borrowed license, but Creo 7 will not run. We receive the following error... License WarningLicense request failed for featureRequesting PROE_DesignAdvP...FLBCache: (-1) Cannot find License file.-96: Cannot connect to license server.Run ptcstatus.bat for server status. APX failed to load. IPX failed to load. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
