I'm trying to change the Text tool in the sketcher so that a certain font and alignment is used every time. I can create a mapkey, but if I continue to make a second text item the settings go back to the default. Is there a way to change this? I didn't see any options in the config editor.

Hi,I have a drawing with a model that has a inherited model (not sure if that matters).I am trying to change the crosshatching but in Layout tab, the crosshatching is unable to be selected.I also changed the crosshatching on the cross-section in the model, but it does not update on the drawing. Is there any other way to change crosshatching when it is unselectable on the drawing?

HiI'm trying to remake an old template for solving a differential equation on a free falling hatch in Mathcad Prime 9. Attached is the old version of the file from Mathcad 15. When I try to set up the rkfixed command after giving all the same info, I get an error code that the function D, doesn't converge. I've tried a few different ways of doing the substitution in D, but I've never gotten the solver to actually solve anything. It either says that D doesn't converge, that t is undefined, or unexpected error, this is a red underline on D. Is there a way to make this work? Any help is much appreciated!

Prior to CREO 6, I can install a new release of CREO on my machine and create a 7zip archive.  Users can extract this archive and install this on their machine without using the software center or requiring local admin rights.  With the new releases now, you have to run the creoagent (creosvcs_64.exe) which requires admin rights.  PTC support stated that this is not a supported method, and not offering any workarounds.   I believe some folks are still using this method for their deployment.  Just curious how I can do this for our CREO 10 deployment and not have to rely on the software center.  Thank you all in advance! Calvin

I am running Creo 10. I have both Creo Live Simulation (powered by Ansys) and Creo Ansys Simulation. I noticed that under setup in Creo Live simulation, I am able to select "Scope". However, when I look for this option in Creo Ansys Simulation, I don't see it. It'd be convenient to be able to exclude unnecessary components, but still be able to run a more robust Ansys simulation. Is this option available somewhere that I'm not noticing?

Hello,I have to display a BOM table on the drawing.Default the table will display POS number and Quantity of the item e.g.: POS 20  Qty 2     (each)In this case I have added a tape to the ASSY, which is also displayed in the model and it will beadded in the assembling stage from roll.Is it possible to change the BOM table to e.g.: POS 20 Qty 2 cm ?I can create a bulk item, but that is not visible in the model and the drawing.An other way is to create a part which displays 2 cm tape, but in that case I have created a separate item, which more or less produced before the assembling action.Any idea how to implement this?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0Hello,I would like to create a PDF which contains a drawing in format 8-1/2 by 11 (A) and a format 11 by 17 (B), in the same drawing.example: page 1 is of format A and page 2 is of format B.Except that, when printing if the format A page is first, the second page which is format B will be compressed into format A.So, is it possible to create a PDF document and have the first page come out in format A and the second page come out in format B.

Using MathCad Prime 10The usual method for solving this exercise is to due a iterative process assuming values for L4 and verifying for which value one of the equations is the closest to 0.I can do it manually inside of mathcad but have not made the solve block do it for me.Is this because the solution is approximate?I am attaching the mathcad file.

I'm running Creo 10 with a Creo Ansys Simulation add-in / license. I have a fairly simple setup with two circular plates touching each other. I've intentionally omitted screens of the parts for proprietary purposes, but the feature tree is below. For some reason, when I try to generate a mesh using a Free contact, it fails. But if I change it to a Frictionless contact, then generate the mesh, then switch back to a Free contact, then re-generate the mesh, it works... I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if I'm just missing something... Below shows the steps of how I'm able to turn on and off the issue: 1) Contact is Free initially, Generate mesh > Mesh Fails2) Change contact to Frictionless, Re-generate mesh > Mesh Succeeds3) Change contact back to Free, Re-generate mesh > Mesh Succeeds4) Change mesh size to low5) Steps 1 thru 3 occur again6) Change mesh size to medium7) Steps 1 thru 3 occur again

Hi there, My company updated to Creo 8.0.1.0 some weeks ago. Now it turns out, that the model check test "DEF_DENSITY" does not work anymore in Creo 8. In Creo 8 every part gets the default material "PTC_SYSTEM_MTRL_PROPS", which has the density of 1.0. The test DEF_DENSITY should check, if the density is 1.0, but the test passes. Since we use modelcheck as a gatekeeper for our windchill, there is a pretty chance, that the pdm-system gets filled up with neutron-star-like parts. Does someone knows a workaround?

Hello, I'm working in Creo Parametric 9.0.7.0. I have a model of a box with a door on it. I have two versions of the hinge for the door, one open and one closed (the only difference is an angle constraint that switches between 0 degrees and 180 degrees). I created an interchange assembly that maps all the pertinent geometry on one hinge to the other. I can replace these hinges and update my model and the door will open/close fine. I would like to have a simplified rep to be able to swap between open/closed configurations, but Creo doesn't seem to allow that unless I use a simplify interchange assembly rather than a functional interchange assembly. My problem is that the simplify assembly only does a cosmetic update rather than a functional update (it doesn't update the constraints). Is there any way to set up a simplified rep to switch between parts of an interchange assembly and have the constraints update in a top level assembly? Thanks,Matt

(I assume) many of us make tabs on sheet metal parts. it would be nice to be able to set the width of a tab, rather than rely on doing the math to set it's offsets from each side. To give the option to have a full length flat / flange, or to set its width & offset from an edge..  i.e.: I want a 3/4" tab, 2" from one edge of my part.  I have to do math to figure out what I need to offset from each side is to get this..  But, if my part changes width, the tab width then also changes by that amount..

Hello, I'm looking into UDF's and the possibility to use them to create variable assemblies and place these into a main assembly.  I would like to make 3 UDF to help me easier create a casing.1. A steel frame UDF where I can have some standard component corners and then some variable profile lengths. 2. A panel UDF where I can change the length and width of the panel and have the components inside change dimensions accordingly. 3. A door UDF where I also change the outside dimensions, but have some standard components, like a door handle. The idea is that I can create casing by first take a frame UDF, designate the size and place it in an assembly, then take panel UDF's one at a time, designate sizes and mate them into the assembly. And if needed, choose a door UDF, designate size, and then place it in the assembly.  I have worked a bit with the UDF function and I have access to the AdvAssem option in Creo 9, but I haven't had success in making t
