Hi all, I'm looking for best practices for including the end product assembly in a tooling assembly.  Tips on things like: Assembly mode:managing the tooling assembly combined with a (possibly) large end product assemblynot wanting the product assembly to affect the tooling BOM - simp reps? Include command?not wanting accidental changes to the product assembly while working on the tooling assembly - reference control?visual cues - product assembly distinguished from the tooling assembly Drawing mode:phantom lines for product assembly in certain views I'm the CAD admin, not a tool designer, but asking for a few of the designers in our group.  Any other considerations I might be missing? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to set a specific call out a specific UI file in a psf? I am encountering an issue where users click on the Live Simulation tab and it pulls a license for that feature. We have a limited number of them.  The psf is set up to not pull the license initially but that does not prevent the license being pulled in session after clicking on the tab. IMO Creo should not allow that license to be pull just because someone clicks on a tab but it does. I dont really want to turn off the tab on the ribbon as its annoying to have to go in and turn it back on when some actually wants to use it. Is there a way I can call out a specific ui file when starting creo either through the psf or other means?

Hello everyone in the community! I have a small problem: some fonts disappeared after uninstalling PRIME 9 and then installing PRIME 10. In Windows Character Map, the Math unimath fonts have disappeared. How can I recover them without having to do a system restore with the hope that those fonts will be recovered?

As per the original post.    Hi there,   I'm having a similar issue where I renamed an uploaded part that I had checked out. I'm now getting the same error (Error: File name changed).   I tried updating the part, synchronizing and updating my workspace and nothing has fixed this... I get the following messages in the console when I did those actions:   Nothing is Out Of Date in Workspace.All the objects in session are up to date.Nothing to Synchronize from server side workspace.   Any idea what else could help?   Thanks!

Good morning everyone, I found that split body option is very atractive for a way of designing for my company and i would like to introduce it for other designers. Before i do that, i need to solve one problem and thats why im asking you for help. Problem:I have part with M10 holes in pattern and i want to divide this part in two separately with SPLIT BODY option. After dividing a part i use CREATE PART FROM BODY to save new part. Everything is ok until i open new part. new part is missing surfaces (for example - threads of M10 holes). I cannot find any solution for this problem. If anyone has idea how to copy it or at least, how to mark thread after split body divinding, i will be very grateful. FYI, i work in CREO 7. best regards,Szymon Biela

Does anyone have experience with how to input the hole dimension values into a Custom cycle, or alternatively, in which drilling cycle could I input these values from a table? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello,After you added a normal assmbly 3D model as a "module variant" in a configurable module ;When you use "Variant builder" in a configurable product to select the normal assembly;Normally, Creo will use the exist assembly model to build the new main assembly model( product variant),But in some cases, the Creo always copy a new model to build the main assembly. Would any one know :How to control  "Variant builder" to copy a new one or use exist "module variant"  to build the new product variant? Thank you!

Hello, I am making an assembly with particularly small components. I am using the slider function to set a position and I need it to be more accurate than the 3 sig figs that are standard. I tried going into the settings to change it to 5 sig figs but it still auto rounds to 3 sig figs. Is there a setting that I am missing or a work around I can use? I am using CREO parametric 7.0

I have created a ploy of stress in  a curved bar.  Attempting to plot vertical axis to delineate positive and negative stress.  Will not plot together but have done this multiple tomes previously.  The vertical axis plots separately OK.  See page 11 at right Thanks for any help jmc 

Hi,How to solve this non-linear system of equations:

I have been having this problem for two days now, as I have a drawing document which contains several drawings which I have to convert to PDF separately (Creo 7.10.0.0). I have tried several options, the first one is through print I have selected to print (blue image) but at the moment of checking the PDF seems too small, it appears white or just nothing, I have tried to change the scale, the zoom, format, size, Plot  and nothing works.  The other option was to go to document>save as PDF and it converts all the drawings into a single page. I don't have the option to choose the area to convert to PDF, it just automatically converts everything in one sheet in PDF. I have searched on youtube but I can't find a solution.I need to select the area to convert to PDFThanks in advance
