CAD

When trying to apply draft on surface styled parts, or can say class A surfaces, Creo is not allowing to apply drafts. What could be the reason. Here I am considering plastic parts which have a wall thickness.I think, drafts can only be applied on surfaces which have 90 deg relationship to the reference plane or surface which we are considering the parting line.   

The company has just upgraded from Creo 4 to Creo 7.From std.out:....\text\config.sup, linenum 66: Keyword 'ENABLE_ABSOLUTE_ACCURACY' is not valid.Has option enable_absolute_accuracy been deprecated in Creo7?   

When assemblies are updated from Inventor in Illustrate, parts are positioned incorrectly. Apparently, the transformation is taken from a deleted part. This problem does not occur with PVZ files from Creo.Do any of you have experience with Inventor and Illustrate?

When i click on the "assemble relative to board" option, after i select the part i want... nothing happens. the component placement menu doesn't show   Is there any option i have to turn on or something like that ?   Thanks                  

Hello,  I'm (happily) getting back into CREO (version 10) after a 5 year stint in SW. I have to create new drawing formats and templates to reflect changes we've made to our title block over the years. I have my C-size format and template working well.  Is there an easy way to save as to other sizes and keep my title block and all parameters? Thanks,

I have downloaded the latest Creo Schematics 7.0.0.0 F000 from PTC server. While doing our testing, I am getting below warning message about the license expires in 14 days. But our license coordinator mentioned that our license is valid till Dec 2023. May I know the reason for getting the warning during start up. Any fix need from user side or PTC side?      

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.10.0I am trying to simulate the effect of a lathe machining on a part with planarity errors.with my licence i decided to try to suse machaism design to simulate the rotation of a part, move another part as it is the tool of the lathe, then get the 3d curve from the mechanism as it is the "machining" result.problem is that that curve has very weird results depending on the settings on the "graphic visualization" on the Analysis definitoon windows.i don't understand why

When I'm in drawing mode, I select the annotation tab to make creo change the selection filter to "Annotation" and allow me to select datums etc. However if I want to then move a view, and I swap back to the "Layout" tab, the selection filter stays on Annotation rather than switching back to "General", the result being every time I select an annotation, I end up having to manually change the selection filter back again. Am I missing something? Surely this can't be the intended behaviour?   

The trial version for Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0 states that it has full functionality for 30 days. However, as I am using it, there are several functions that are unavailable to me. They even state "Note: This premium feature will be disabled after the 30-day, full functionality license expires. To use this and other premium features, please upgrade to a full license using the 'Upgrade' button. Specifically, I am trying to test out the excel embed functions within Prime as a long time Mathcad 15 user and this is not available to me to be able to do an evaluation. All buttons are greyed out and even converting old sheets over to Prime does not allow for the use of excel.

Dear all the reason of my posting is an failed conversion of a MathCAD 15 file/model to MathCAD Prime 7.0In particular this Model contains a quite complex differential equation, and after using the converter the new MathCAD Prime 7.0 model output an error on the command line which should start the solver (in this case it is the rkfixed, but the same error occurs also with other solvers. The red mark of the error is put on the "D" of the beforehand differential equation, the error report is (in german) "Ein_Aufrufziel_hat_einen_Ausnahmefehler_verursacht." This means something like "a call target has caused an exception error" (I do not know the exact error description in the english version).As MathCAD 15 is terminated by the supplier, we need a solution to further operate this MathCAD model. Attachment: The MathCAD 15 file and the MathCAD Prime 7.0 file after conversion. When I right-click, hide the Fill Surface on the model itself, it is no longer interactable even through the model tree. Conversely when doing the same through the model tree itself instead of the model, it works as expected.Is this a bug or is there a way to unhide/show the surface that I am not aware of. (I have been resorting to restarting creo) I realise the right click menus are not visible in the video, however I think the video is clear enough without it as well. *I am using PTC creo parametric 9.0 student edition

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.7.0I cannot edit the size directly in sketch. Initially it worked, but after some time it stopped working. Now the only way I can edit the size in Sketch is by using the ribbon.Also, I have tried the fixed suggested by article CS352473 but with no luck.

hello experts this is asif I have a question about variable feed. is it possible to add a variable feed on trajectory milling on different areas of trajectory .for example I have a trajectory whose length is 100mm. So I need the cutting feed from 0 to 25mm to be 50mm/minute then 25 to 50 to be 100mm/minute and so on so....I don't want to add a feed on G-codes manually...but right now manually add a feed on a different portion of G-codes.. need advice.   regards   asif  

Dear team,   I this is Kamlesh from GMMSPL.   Is there any possibility to showcase the Solid Weld Geometry in drafting in a different manner? like some visual other than annotating.   Currently, it is like mixing of geometry line and weld line together and difficult to identify which is the weld geometry and geometry line.          

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.5.0I am trying to connect to Windchill+ with Creo via JLink. Calling AuthenticateBrowser seems to have no effect. The login window always pops up, so the application cannot be run without user interaction. Is there another method in JLink to authenticate to Windchill+ than to Windchill on premis?

 It is very difficult to enter every countersunk or counterbored hole dimensions one by one. Preselection of this holes can make our work very fast and easy and reliable.

While exporting an drw into an dwg file...if i open that file in 2d softwares after export,the scale was not as same as it was in CREO DRW ! what should i need to do while exporting to get the exact scale value in both ?Iam using 9.0.3.0 version of CREO !please clarify me on this ASAP! 

Hi, I would appreciate any help or advice with this problem I am having.   I am using Creo 3 and am having a problem when I try to insert a decal. I map the decal and then select the surface I want it on, the image appears, but with a sort of grey wash over ever decal I insert. Even transparency seems to be affected.   I have tried adding the config.pro option "enable_opengl_shader no" as was suggested in https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Windchill-upgrade-to-Creo-decal-issue-duller-greyish-colors/td-p/97207#250266  for someone with the same problem in Creo 2, but it doesn't seem to have had any effect. Is there perhaps a different solution for Creo 3?   Thank you.

Hi, is there a way to change the rotate button to the back button on my mouse? I don't want to have to change what the button does at a system level because I still want it to be the back button while using a web browser. I want to change it because it is much less stress on my wrist to hold the back button and move the mouse compared to the middle mouse button. 

Hi!Is there a way to make a filter based on comboboxes ? i.e. I want to be able to filter "Type" and "Version" so that the end result is a matrix i can plot I used vlookup to easily filter "Type", but not sure how i can incoorporate the "Version" filter? (I've attached my sheet, MCP 9) Thank you!  RegardsSNA    

Creo Parametric does not start if the computer has a virtual machine platform and WSL2 installed. Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution?
