My Simulation doesn't work with mesh size 1mm but works with mesh size 2mm and 3mm without a problem... How can you explain or evaluate that? thank you very much 😊 Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate meine Simulation funktioniert mit Mesch size 1mm nicht aber funktionniert mit Mesch size 2mm und 3mm ohne Probelm... Wie kann man das erklären bzw. bewerten ? vielne Dank 🙂
I have a connector that has 186 pins and only using 44. I want to cut the connector at the 44 pin location and delete or hide the remainder part of the connector from view. I used to be able to do that in Pro/Diagram, I'm almost sure it can be done in Creo Schematics. Thank you
I am looking for output equations with results for Spur gear geometry based on AGMA standards by inputting the following information, Diametral pitch, Number of teeth, Pressure angle, Backlash, backlash tolerance and Outside diameter grind allowance.
Here I outlined my thoughts on improving the system of units in Mathematical CAD (SMath, Mathcad, Maple Flow etc).See the pdf attachment.I would be very grateful for your comments and suggestions.
Math CAD is not Mathcad and not MathCAD (a DOS version of Mathcad). Math CAD is Mathematical CAD! My next book has a title "Math CAD & Python: STEM education". What PTC can say about it? What you can say about it?
As per the original post. I don't understand PTC's choice of using the Front Plane. If our Creator had hired them to model humans we would all have no face. Isn't the Right Plane the obvious choice if you are going to force anything?
In one of our assemblies made with AFX, the assembly file shows all objects as being solid models. When we go to the drawing, some of the components are showing as quilts. Red objects are shown as quilts, the rest are solids. What would cause only part of the objects to come into the drawing as quilts when they are solids in the assembly? We are on Creo 7.0.10.0. Design was done originally in Creo 4.
Hi, When ProMdlnameRetrieve gets PRO_MDLFILE_DRAWING, depending on the environment, it takes a long time to get a return value other than PRO_TK_NO_ERROR. For example, in the case of PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND, if the PDM server is not active, the return result of ProMdlnameRetrieve takes less than 1 second. If the PDM server is enabled, it may take up to 2 minutes to return PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND. If anyone has had a similar issue to me, can anyone share a solution? Thanks, Warm Regards SeonHo.CHA
Hi, I'm encountering an issue with Creo7 NC that tap file computation is taking so long Any possibility that this can be completely done backend while we continue working on Creo? Through Queue manager, we are only able to compute CL file backend but not able to convert to G code Thanks Phani

Guy's its been 5 to 10 years sense I have log-on to this website. I have no excuses.. I am using CREO 4 and have an assembly open.I have 2 parts within the assembly.I activated part number (2) from WITHIN the assembly.I copy a surface [from] PART 1 [to] PART 2. The Surface in PART 1 is a quilt of which I only need a specific area. The surface is copied into PART 2. Good so far...The feature in the model tree has a glyph. It looks like 2 sheets of paper. good so far... In my model tree, I have selected in my Model Tree to show "FEATURE TYPE".The problem is when I try to use the FIND/SEARCH function for all "external copied" geometry. I get nothing. I tried numerous selections, only to get nothing.I need the FIND/SEARCH function to gather a list so we can work. The number 2 part (.prt) has 1158 features. Below is a picture of my model tree. There are 2 features highlighted that are "Copied Geometry" from another part file - PART (1). The goal is
Hello Dear Friends, What are your pros and cons regarding the use of these two math software for now and in the future? What do you think about these two math software? What choice would you make and what would be the arguments if you had to choose between these two for the future?Thank you.Best regards,B. Cornel
Hi all, So I was looking to start customizing my workflow so I can make parts and drawings quicker. One way I wanted to do that was to start customizing my keyboard shortcuts. I am noticing in Creo Parametric 7.0 that you can't have any keyboard shortcuts that are single keyed or are a combination of a key and Shift? With all of the different tools in Creo that I could use shortcuts for, this seems arbitrarily limiting. I do have the option "enable_single_char_keybrd_short" enabled, but whenever I try to make a shortcut with a single key or a key+Shift I get the message "Invalid shortcut. Please use another key combination." So can you just not use single key shortcuts? What's the point of that config option? Any help is appreciated! Thank you
Team, I cannot convert an old Mathcad worksheet to a Mathcad Prime worksheet. Mathcad says "No license." But I have a license! Please help.
Hello, For 2D Plot: For 3D Plot: I want to plot the point f1(2,1)=2, so the point where x=2 and y=1 on the 3D plot, and to display the point as it is showed in 2D Plot.Is it possible to do this?Mathcad Prime 8 file attached.Thank you.
How do work with several functions one would be f(t) and another would be g(t-tau)? Mathcad Prime 9 doesn't let me use a delay. Any suggestions?
In Mathcad prime I added a plot that needs y axis in the logorithmic scale, which I can do, but values below a certain point are meaningless and destroy the shape of the plot. Is it possible to set the Y axis limits in a Mathcad Prime 7 plot? Grid lines would also be great.
Team, I Would like to Create a ordinate dimensions automatically, after finding the flat view in drawing... 1. code need to find out the Flat View is present or not2. need to create automatic ordinate dimensions for the view Please help me to solve my problemplatform: CREO 4.0 M140 / toolkit C++
Creating a new part by mirror in an assembly, but there is a missing option (or I can't find it). In past versions, Pro/E, you had the option to include the datums. I don't remember what the menu pick was called exactly, (you could choose "Reference", meaning dependent, and with or without datums), but the result was a new part, geometry only, and it included mirrored datum planes from the original. That way you have something to use for alignment etc when you put the part in other places. In Creo 9, there is the option to mirror "Geometry with Features", but that is not dependent, so it won't update with the original. Does anyone know how to mirror the Geometry and include the datums? Or to make the "Geometry with Features" dependent?
Is there any way to speed up 3D rendering in Creo View? I am working with a 4K monitor using a mid-range graphics card. Simple models render nice and smooth. However, as soon as it gets into the realm of some 100,000 polygons, the FPS drops off a lot. The only view mode where I can rotate even very complex models smoothly is Wireframe, so it could be that the hidden line calculation is the problem. In Creo Parametric, there seems to be a setting on this: "Fast hidden lines removal", see below. Is there anything I can do to Creo View to improve the issue? To Improve Dynamic Display QualityYou can reduce the amount of calculation that the system performs when dynamically orienting a shaded model by controlling the level of detail at which surfaces are displayed. The result is that the movements of the model appear smoother and better synchronized with the driving force. The effectiveness of using levels of detail (LODs) in a model is dependent on the configuration of
With Creo Illustrate, is it possible to export sections with hatched section faces as a vectorial PDF, including the hatching? In other words, in the exported PDF all lines, including the hatching, should be vector lines, not bitmaps?
Using Creo 9 and Windchill 12.0.2.7. I use linenumbers from Windchill that feed my drawingtable. No issues. Now I want to add a note, in my assembly, that reads the linenumber value. So sessionID gets involved. So I am struggling with FID_N and SessionID but I cannot get it to work.it works fine to read component parameter, but since a linenumber is an upstream assembly featire, I cannot get the correct the linenumber in my note. See .png attached. Is this possible?
Hello,Is it possible to create a callout within an inset? So the leader line should end within the inset area. Now, when I select an object within the inset and attach a callout to it, then the leader line of the inset points to the corresponding object in the main model, but not to the part within the inset. Because the inset is much more detailed it is better visible where the leader line of the callout points to.We use this functionality a lot within our company, so this question is quite important to us.Thanks in advance for your answer!
Is there a detailed tutorial on how to create and use explode lines? Explode lines are not intuitive and and seem sprout from unlikely places.. which makes them a PIA. i never end up using them and end up creating my own...
The attached file ends with a division of mass/mass; yet, the result is not unitless. Please help. Please ignore if I have a concept wrong. The unitless result is driving me crazy.😩 Thanks for your help.
