Hello everyone,  I am using Creo 9.0.0.0, and I am trying to define a slider connection for a piston and cylinder to perform its mechanism. I used to do that several times before and it worked. But this time once I define the rotation it is telling me "Connection definition is incomplete".  as shown in the figure.  I have defined two assemblies, the first one which is the moving parts including the cylinder. The second assembly is the fixed parts including the piston.  I am not sure why it is not working with me.       

As you can see the green line is Y+ axis limit .How do I turn all 3 axis XYZ moves into X rotary Z moves?

We would like to be able to export a step file with annotations but without quilts. Currently when selecting annotations, quilts are automatically selected and greyed out so they cannot be unselected. A PTC support representative already explained there's no way around it using the standard options. Please make it possible to export a step file with annotations but without quilts (product idea). Currently when we want to send a step file to our vendors (mold maker for example) it includes confusing quilts which are a potential source for errors.

Hello everyone, I have created an assembly in creo prametric v7 from two separate parts. After completion, this assembly has File/Manage File/Rename given a new name and saved. Calling up this module works perfectly. But now when I click on Delete current object, the old file name is also displayed in the delete window for assigned objects. However, this file does not exist anywhere, neither in session nor locally on the hard disk. Hello all, as a simple example I use a sinus function where I want to find the absolute minimum and absolute maximum. If the function will be more complicated then the local extrema are not interesting currently. I am looking for the absolute values. To be honest I don´t want to make a derivation d/dt and find the corresponding times via solve block. I would like to use some kind of integrated function. Unfortunately "max(vector)" and "min(vector)" does not work. My function f(txx) seems to be not an array ... Hm. Also I have found in the F1 help menu a function for local minima and local maxima. I understand that it compares the array elements but it also doesnt help. Can you help please? My sheet is attached. Also here the screenshot:

I'm not really sure what is wrong with my document.   If I simply evaluate the function ZL() I get a vector output (or what I'd call a vector - matrix with one column).  When I take the same function and assign to a variable I get the error screen captured below.   Is there a way to explicitly define a variable to be a vector or matrix?   Or, is that not the problem?  I've attached the Mathcad Prime document.   EDIT:  Looks like the issue might be because I'm using a range variable (see link below).   So, how do I convert a range variable to a matrix/vector variable? https://support.ptc.com/help/mathcad/r8.0/en/index.html#page/PTC_Mathcad_Help/range_variables.html

Is it possible to always get the results in desired unit style say I defined a variable with mm after evaluating it shifts to m but I want to keep it to mm by default I know I can modify the unit placeholder but wanted to know if there is any workaround for this 

Hi All, I'm working on a problem of dissipation of entrapped energy in a steam turbine, for which I would like to calculate the energy and display the result with units. However, when I try to include the units in the terms Mathcad finds some errors. As soon as I strip out the units, Mathcad finds a solution without trouble, please see my worksheet, attached. Any ideas what the trouble is and if there is a way to include units in the equations? Thanks!  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.7.0I'm trying to import some component from Solidworks Toolbox. When the component has a configuration name different from "Default", the asm.mbr.name attribute and the name in the tree of the component is "NAME(CONFIGURATION)". I can never manage this name and also appear in the attribute of the BOM table 

Hello all, as I have learned here in the forum 😀, and which also works very well 👍, if I want to show only a small area of a model, I proceed as follows: 1. I define a 3D page and place the model next to it. Then I create a detail that I place on the 3D page. I hide the connecting line. My problem now: I want to show an enlargement (detail) of this section. 2. I can now show a detail, but the detail aerea is on the model next to my page. 3. when I move the detail area to my detail, it is empty. Question: Is it possible to create a detail view of a detail view? Hello,I am here trying to differentiate between edges which are hidden in specific drawing views.I have all edges of model but don't know to differentiate between hidden and edges which shown in drawing view.

I am working with Creo 8 and mainly do modeling of assemblies. My current workflow consists of me making a blank part. Normally a basic cube. Then importing that into an existing assembly and making assembly cuts to get the geometry references. I then use those in the modeling  environment as relations to drive my sketches and modeling. I find that this workflow is very clunky and requires me to go back and forth repeatedly to get it right.  Is there a better way of doing this where I can import only the geometry/references I want as sketches then model off of that? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am learning Creo 9 and are trying to make a BOM list with balloons to the assembly. However, I am unable to add balloons. I press on create balloons - all, and nothing happens. No error message and no balloons! I attach a picture.  Also i would like to show the exploded lines that I have created. they are visible when the assy is shaded but not in wireframe. Is it possible?
