Dear All, I am in need of controlling the coordinate system position of a part (in the assembly-relation window) with conditional format for the pro program, Case:I have a assembly in that assembly one standard sub-assembly group will be there at middle portion and another component (Part-A) will be assembled in the left side so this will be my one of the requirement and that same part (Part-A) has to be assembled in the right side for my another requirement, for this i am assembling only one time Part-A in the model tree by using coordinate system (Part cys + Ass cys) so for the other case i need to change the coordinate system position so that Part-A will be moved to the opposite side, Please refer the attached snap. Thanks in advance
Hi, I'm making a drawing of a simple revolved part. It can be represented as one half section projection. However, I can't draw the dimension line for the diameter how I would like. In the first picture is my drawing now. The second picture (simplified case) shows the standardized way of drawing dimension lines in half sections in Finland. So I would only want the upper part of the dimension line and no arrow in the bottom end
Unless I missing where it is, I think this forum would benefit from a dedicated, user-defined (UD) functions-only sub-forum. Generally, the poster would link a topic of discussion back to the main forum for discussion. That way, the UDF sub-forum doesn't get loaded up with discussion. It make solving some problems quicker by searching an existing UDF. I have many UDF's that I would like to share but just dropping these in here makes no sense. Regards
Is there a way to change all hatches' pattern or fill color in a drawing sheet all at once? as the drawing sheet I have contains a large number of hatches and it's difficult to change each one individually.
Hi,In order to make the tooltip of a view appear (white window in the image below), I need to stay still on the view for approx. 2s, can I make it faster ? Or alternately delete the waiting time ?Thank you in advance.
On the occasion of the turn of the year, a four-leaf clover/shamrock is shown in the attached file (Mathcad 14) as a lucky charm. Unfortunately, I can't color the area enclosed by the contour. How can this be done?Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar
Version 6.0.0.0 of the Ptc.MathcadPrime.Automation.dll assembly is resulting in an COMException being thrown, which is preventing the ApplicationCreator object from being constructed. I have had no issues with version 6.0.0.0 assembly before these last few days. I have replicated this condition using the same assembly for version 8.0.0.0, without any errors. What can be done here that does not include upgrading or downgrading the version of Mathcad?
I've written a function C with 2 inputs: a scalar and a vector; and 1 output: a vector. When I evaluate the function for a certain input there is no problem. However, when I try to compute the Jacobian of the function I get the following error: "The array index is invalid. The index must be an integer, not less than ORIGIN, and not greater than the last element."Strangely, when I get rid of the two bottom entries of the output vector of the function C, I get no such error, it produces the Jacobian matrix one would expect it to. This leads me to believe that the issue is in q_3. (I have made sure that 3 is no subscript but an index)Can anyone tell me what the issue here is?
Hi folks, In Creo NC, using Machine Tool Setup -> Parameter UI, I have edited the list of basic parameters visible in the "Parameters" list of NC sequence edition. Because it's quite a long list of basic parameters that I now have, I'm wondering if it's possible to customize the default size of the "Parameters" dropdown window in order to extend it downwards. See attached screenshot for visual.I prefer having a tall "Parameters" dropdown window rather than having to scroll the list to see all my basic parameters at once. Any pointers much appreciated.
I have my own versions of Prime 7 and Prime 8. My company uses Prime 7. Is there any way to take the Prime 8 files that I created and convert them to Prime 7?
I have a Mathcad file where many of the XY plots get larger when I open the file. If I drag the plot handle to scale them back to their normal size, they get large again the next time I open the file. This started happening with Mathcad Prime 8, and it only happens to one file, so far. The left upper corner of each plot remains fixed, its the bottom right corner that changes location. There are many plots in this file, and it is getting old having to resize them all each time I open the file. These are the embedded plots, not the Chart Components. This file is being opened from one computer.
Hello, I am evaluating Mathcad Prime 8s file converter capabilities through the express trial to convert 14 and 15 files. The converter tab is grayed out and I cannot click it. Any suggestions as to why?
Between Christmas and New Year's I want to "play" with curves on graphs in Mathcad 14. I am particularly interested in the graphical representation of the Sici spiral (or named after Nielsen). It is represented parameterized in the Cartesian x-y coordinate system by x=Si(t) and y=Ci(t) with t>0. The Si and Ci functions are found in Mathcad on the f(x) menu. But they don't work in the diagram, even though I followed the instructions from the "Help". That's why I didn't attach a test file here. What am I doing wrong?Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar
Hello all, We are using Windchill 11.1 M020-CPS16 with Creo Peramatric 5.0.4.0. I have Published a Drawing and gererated the representations from the Windchill and Creo but the values are different in both of the representation. Generated from Windchill - Generated from Creo - Thanks

A detail view cannot have any of the names A, B, or C. When trying to delete the sheet, I get a message "Erased views will also be renamed." How to delete those views without deleting the sheet?I remember a long time ago that there was a command that allowed me to select and delete those views, but I lost that cheat sheet when I changed jobs.Does any of you remember it?Thank you
by using proselection i can able to create component/feat parameters in assembly but when i try to create a parameter instead of selection it will create either part or assembly level parameter. Is there any option to create or edit Feat_Param in a component level in assembly. ///*****************WHILE USING BELOW CODE IT CREATES CORRECTLY****************************////////////////////err = ProSelect("component", 1, NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, &p_sel_array, &p_n_sels);err = ProSelectionModelitemGet(*p_sel_array, &p_mdlitem);err = ProParamvalueSet(&new_value, (void*)L"FIND_NUMBER", PRO_PARAM_STRING);err = ProParameterCreate(&p_mdlitem, L"6", &new_value, &new_param); instead of selection i need all components list in the assembly/////*************************************////////////////// /////*****************below code update parameter as assembly level********************////////////////// status = ProDwgtableCellRefmodelGet(&
Good morning everyone,CREO8 M30 drawing:why can't move a table if I have the "LAYOUT" or "SKETCH" menu item active?while with all the others I move it.Thanks for your time, Luca.
Hello,I am Application Specialist at my company.I want to transfer its license to another server.Unfortunately the former license supervisor of our organization at PTC eSupport left the company a year ago.I have two cases, one of them is to ask how to assign the super-administrator or just regular admin role of the organization assigned to his account and its licenses to my account (if necessery, I will confirm somehow, that everything that I am saying is true, just tell me how) I can't access former supervisor's e-mail account.Second case is the cause of the whole situation. One of our servers, started having bugs beyond fixing, unfortunately, this is the one that has mathcad license installed on it. I want to transfer the license to another server but it is assigned to MAC address of the current server, so it won't be working. Can you please help me or give some information, who can I contact to get help that I need, because I can't find any PTCs support mailbox.Best regards
Hi experts, Can Mathcad help us arrange the equation from what I give?for example, the yellow parts are I know, I want to use these conditions to solve and get the green part, I know how to calculate by hand, but I would like to know if I can use Mathcad to do the same thing.if it could, could you tell me what to do, thanks?
Hello Mr Martin, Yes with further study of trail files and basic programming, I could successfully extract and modify trail file for .prt import and .stp export for two part files.👍..I could also write a program in Basic to generate trail file. However, just one question is there -- ie how to program to incorporate this line- ~ Input `file_open` `Inputname` `xxxxxxxxxx` into trail file? Sharing trail file and basic program (in .txt format/I had written it in qbasic only, which has been converted to .txt here) herewith. Requesting for the solution, Thanks in advance!
Hi All, I've recently started using Creo Parametric 9.0.1.0 and am getting to grips with the new model tree. I'm working in a fairly large assembly, around 1800 lines in the BoM report It appears that when I expand all, it hangs for a looong time while it expands the model tree. Annoying, but fair enough given that it has got a lot of stuff to expand. When I collapse all, I get just the top level assembly icon at the top followed by a blank tree. Weird, but again fair enough. However the little grey arrow to expand/collapse the top level is then gone, so I can no longer expand the top level and start digging down into the structure, the only option is to expand all and have a model tree a million miles long again. I've discovered a workaround in writing this; if I click a part in the viewport and find it in the tree, creo expands the tree down to the level of that part, and the grey arrows appear again so I can fairly quickly collapse it back to a se
After migrating from MathCad 15.0 to MathCad Prime 8.0, I have a matrix in one sheet formatting exactly as I want it like this:However, in a very similar sheet, also migrated to Prime 8.0, the format has changed to this:The matrix will not display if I attempt to move the "ft" unit outside the matrix. It is not a big deal for something small like this, but for a larger matrix, as below, it becomes cumbersome to get it to print. The matrix here is built the same way as the first image using the "stack" and "augment" functions, and the error message that pops if I attempt to format like the first image is "This value must be a scaler or a matrix." What can I do to format a matrix to get rid of the units for each individual value, and apply it to the overall matrix as I have in the very first image, just like MathCad 15.0 used to do?
Dear Experts,I would like to ask for some problems of my performing Mathcad Prime of creating Circle Column Under Combined Axial Load-(Pu,Mu). I can not plot the Interaction Moment diagram, I already tried to find the mistakes which could be made in the equation, but I still can not solve it by my own.Since I am the beginner of using Mathcad Prime I really need help from all the professional users.I would be really appreciated for your help.PS: you can find the attached file below.Thank you!
