I can't figure out why the first equation in the picture does not work, Mathcad says "These units are not compatible." The units of M.w.mid are kip*ft, and 8 is dimensionless. There are no matrices in this spreadsheet, but for some reason the dot/multiplication symbol is acting weird, or like a dot product. I don't really want to use either of the middle equations, because they don't match AASHTO, but if I have to I will. For reference, the correct answer is 103.0kip. Mathcad 15 also returns 103.0kip without a dimension error.
Hi Team,I am trying to resume some suppress features in part file.Resume option is not available..Any suggestion
Without using "ProMarcoExecute" and "RunMarco" , how to use the TOOLKIT or Object TOOLKIT to scale model ? I have been looking for the "Scale Model" function in the API Wizard, but unfortunately, I did not find it. Why don't I want Marco's way to execute "Scale Model", because the TOOLKIT or Object TOOLKIT program will lose control of CREO after executing marco. Is there a way for the program to keep control of CREO?
HelloI have a table with many indications about a threading including the helix angle. my part and the drawing are in mm and degrees°, but for a supplier we need the have the angle in degree minute second in the table. I looked at the information page with all the &parameter and didn't find how to change the unit just for this value (not the whole file).I think it may be &parameter[something here] just as the number of decimals.Do you know how to do it please ?What I want : What I have :
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0Hello, we have produced a Creo C++ otk plugin - all works fine. But we have a problem with how we deploy. We use TeamCity https://www.jetbrains.com/teamcity/ to run our build pipeline (so we must build all the code and then use the resultant dll for packaging up. We know that we have to use protk_unlock.bat to unlock the dll. The problem is that we have multiple servers to do the Team city builds and teh same one is not used each time. We are assuming that Creo has to be installed on those machines and also the licenses can only be set up on manual install. Is is possible to do unlocking in a less heavyweight way (but still access the license server that allows protk_unlock.exe to run)? I hope this makes some kind of sense? Can give more details if needed. Any suggestions welcome

Hi, when I display a shaded view into my 2D drawing (i.e. to show painted areas) is it possible to activate in this view different appearance settings which I have defined in View Manger?
Hi,How can I resume an already suppressed feature by using relations? For example:IF d12==100ADD SUPPRESSED FEATURE INTERNAL FEATURE ID 570 PARENTS = 410(#12) 1305(#17)AND ADDAND IF If the feature is already suppressed and the equation (if d12==100) is true, the feature that gets added is in a suppressed state. How can I fix this?Is there a conditional statment that removes "SUPPRESSED"?Or is there a syntax in pro program that will regenerate automatically?
How do I add tolerance to a dimension from an inheritance feature?Tolerance in the model is set to symmetry but after inheritance the Tolerance is at Nominal and can not be changed (greyed out)This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am trying to create a vector with values like this1, 2, 3, 4, 4.2, 4.4, 4.6, 4.8, 5, 6, 7, 8In practice there will be many more values and it wouldn't be practical to enter them one at a time. If I create three vectors like thisv1 := 1,2..4v2 = 4.2,.4...4.8v3 = 5,6..8Is there some way I can combine them into a single vector? Also, I would like the resulting vector to be a row vector rather than a column vector (if that is possible).
Hello, everybody, Does anyone meet the problem when saving the part file to step, the lattice design is missing? For example, in the first picture, I created a lattice structure, I then saved it as step file. But when I open the step file, it appeared as the second picture.
We are an engineering company in the Northeast with offices in MA & VA. And we have suppliers in many states in the USA, and some outside. We have situations where we want engineers from our 2 offices, sometimes co-development partners and, more often, suppliers to review designs and provide written feedback and/or preliminary quotes or DFM issues. We do not want to open up our PLM system to anyone outside. If you or your company have faced this issue and have implemented a solution, I would appreciate if you could share some details about your experiences.ThanksKristin
Hi, is there any chance for me to make contour plot which will look the same as the A-B plot I sent you, but I want that the greater the value of member of array C for designated position is, the color of point for that position would be closer to red (classic contour plot with rainbow colors). Best regards and thanks in advance.
I tried to apply the license file I got from email: mathcadlicensing@ptc.com and I got the following error message:11/21/2022 3:31:11 PM : The license request failed.Requesting MathcadPrime ...C:\Users\binping\Desktop\sw_license_email_89209.dat: (-103) Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a Windows Terminal Services guest session.

Hi,please see attached pictures - first ist the standard output I get in Creo (picture 1) but I want to have the letter in line with the section line by default and also the section line should by longer by default (picture 2)Is this possible via a config setting? - by standard not to move always manually the letter. Is this possible with some config settings?
Hi, I want to change the standard frames which are shown in the sheet setup/format. I know I can load my own frames but I would like to have them shown in the drop down menu.Where can I change that setting?

I have just started learning Creo, after years of Inventor and Solidworks. Is there no concentric assembly constraint? When I put a pin in a hole, how is that a coincident constraint?
Hi,I want to select a feature using a macro, but instead of writing ID FEATURE, Creo use the NODES. Example:mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `PHTLeft.AssyTree` 1 `node3238`;\ Is it possible to write:mapkey(continued) ~ Select `main_dlg_cur` `PHTLeft.AssyTree` 1 `feature ID 235`;\ Thanks
Hi, I am currently planning the transition to the latest Creo version for our NC programmers. With that we need to update our client hardware. Since I am not that familiar with Creo I was hoping somebody could give me some insights on the recommended hardware for our clients. e.g.- Intel i5 or Intel i7 CPU?- How much RAM is enough RAM (32GB)?- Do I need a dedicated GPU, if so is a T600 4GB sufficient or should I go for T1000 8GB? Thank you very much for your help.
I am using IFX in Creo 8.0.4.0 for my fasteners. The models are working fine but is there a way I could set the PTC common name of the fasteners to reflect some string that I would like? At the moment the generated fasteners have a common name which is the same as the part name. My BoM table is set to read the asm.mbr.PTC_COMMON_NAME as the description. Is there a way the generated IFX components have some user defined PTC_COMMON_NAME? Alternatively, is there a way to edit my BoM table which reads asm.mbr.PTC_COMMON_NAME and displays in the description column, to show a custom parameter only for IFX items. Could some relation make this happen-display a custom parameter only for an IFX components and display the asm.mbr.PTC_COMMON_NAME value for any other parts in the same column for the assembly?

Hello, In 1594, Adriaan van Roomen set the task of determining the zeros of a polynomial of degree 45. This was quickly resolved by Vieta by taking a close look. One quickly discovers that the sine of 45*x is to be expanded by a polynomial in sine(x). I tried to understand this in the attached file. Mathcad 14 went on strike. I am asking for hints how to expand the product in attached file for n=45 into a polynomial. Mathcad drops out at n=11. Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar
