I'm using a surface to 'trim' the solid by solidify the surface, but the solidfication will always consume the surface after it's done. What I want is to keep the surface, so that I can still use it later. I checked also the configurations, there's no such an option. Is there a way to do so? Thanks.
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.4.0What is the difference in assembly functionality between Creo Design Essentials and Creo Design Essentials Plus? I can see that Creo Design Essentials has ASSY_PERFORMANCE module compared to Creo Design Essentials Plus has ASSEMBLY module. Existing PTC Article CS58879 has a great list of Top Down Design functionality but it is not clear which functions are available with the new Creo Design Essentials licenses.
I have an instance where I am making a Swept Blend between several sets of sketches. The resulting solid has very poor curvature. I know that if I could move the edge of one of my segments in a sketch that I would get a better looking Swept Blend. The only problem is that the 2 adjacent sketch segments are a line and an arc. I can split both of these segments but can not to my knowledge join them together. Is there any concatenate functionality within a sketch, just like there is outside of sketch using the copy and paste command? Below you can see the edge of curve that I would like to move, but not add a split.
Hi everyone, I do not want my true position tolerance showing up like this with the long leader line. I want it to show up with a short leader line that ends when the text starts. Does anyone know how to change this setting? See attached. To create this GD&T I was in the .PRT file, annotate tab, and picked on "Geometric Tolerance" Then clicked on the hole note and all of a sudden my nice looking short leader line turned in to a long leader line. It ALSO shows up this way on my drawing. Thanks,Dan
Hello, today I tried starting Creo (9.0.0.0 Student Edition), but it did not work. Also tried running as admin of course. So i decided to uninstall it and reinstall it. Now the setup.exe does not want to start. When i copy the files in a virtual machine (Windows Sandbox), the setup.exe does actually run.I also tried deactivating Windows Defender, but also this did not work.Absolute path is: C:\Users\chris\Documents\MED-100WIN-CD-460_9-0-0-0_Win64Restarted the PC multiple times. All drivers are updated to the newest version.Does somebody know what could have happend? I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Totally new to Creo. Trying to open up the ability to edit the configuration settings in ModelCHECK (Check Files, Start Files, etc.) so that we can create custom defaults- currently these options are greyed out. Can these settings be unlocked or what is the procedure to accomplish this? Thanks!
Hello In drawing modeis modelcheck able to assign parameters values from current 3d model to the drawing parameters? If yes how?
Every time I first get onto the windchill server in Creo and am connected to a Windchill server, the authentication dialog (genlwsc.exe) opens behind the active window as shown with its icon blinking yellow. Any solutions for this??? The current 'solution' https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS303945, is to manually select it which isn't a solution. Thanks.
Can I have a licence?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.5.1unable to import word files in drawing.Once i did its going to not responding in creo
Is it possible to import multiple XML files, from Creo Schematics, into a single Creo Parametric Cabling component? In the past, my attempts to import multiple XMLs has caused the the new one to overwrite the old one. I figured out it's possible to manually copy and past information from one XML into another using Notepad++. It's an inelegant solution and prone to error, but it does seem to work. Does anyone else have any better ideas?
Hello, ProGtolDatumReferencesGet(datumRef, &basic_datum, &basic_matcond, &compound_datum,&compound_matcond) has been deprecated and changed to ProGtolDatumReferencesGet(gtol, &primary_datum,&secondary_datum,&tertiary_datum). I am trying to figure out how to get the compound datum out of the new function, but after searching through the TestGtol.c, I learned that the sample otk only contains information on how to retrieve the basic datum from this function and not the compound datum. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you,Mark
How must I set up the XMCD, MCD converter for Mathcad Prime 8.0.0.0 ?
Hello everyone,I recently ran a sensitivity study with 20N load applied on the model from 0° to 360° from the start position thanks to user skunks's help! I also defined many points to obtain the strain values from the study. I am wondering if anyone knows 1) if I can export the measurements in the .csv like what a static analysis do? 2) Can I create a parameter relation feature in Creo with the user-defined measurements? And then have Creo plot the final results vs. angle? (Related post: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Analysis/How-do-I-define-a-load-that-rotates-from-0deg-to-360deg-from-the/m-p/830717/emcs_t/S2h8ZW1haWx8a3Vkb3N8TDlCUDlDNUJRSzZWMkZ8ODMwNzE3fEtVRE9TfGhL#M10924) Thank you so much!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0I am running Creo Installation Assistant. Every time I enter the sales order number under "Node Locked License Generation" in the License Identification section, I keep getting an error message. Here are the errors that I facedError! License request for this SON is in process. Please verify that this has completed successfully and contact PTC License Management if necessary.I saw that there is a support case made on my behalf. But does it usually take this long?
We are planning to upgrade Creo Parametric to Creo 7.0.9.0. Could you please provide what are the main updates in Creo 7.0.9.0 vs Creo 7.0.5.0? Thanks KB
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0About Model CheckMy model check report is coming up blank.I only use it for overall size of part.
so when we create a datum and the a gtol the two associate in creo the problem though is if they are both on different view states in the model the association doesn't show. Is there a way to i click a gtol in one state and have the datum from another show. if it not can i have a note or something pop up telling the person where which state the datum exists in?
Using VB API with Creo 5 and as mentioned in the help file, I have set the configuration option regen_failure_handling to resolve_mode in the Creo Parametric session. Even after that solid.Regenerate(Nothing) does not regenerate the model. [EDIT]: Subsequently I created an object of type CpfcRegenInstructions and passed it to the Regenerate method as an argument, but the following line says "Class not registered":Dim creoRegenIns As CpfcRegenInstructions = New CpfcRegenInstructions ForceRegen, RefreshModelTree, UpdateInstances, and AllowFixUI are all set to True. Is there any solution to this?Thank you. ~Tushar
Dear colleagues,Mathcad 3, Windows 10. I resolve the system of equations. I defined the function named "Pt(I,I2,...,Cbb)" which consist solution (''n'', and ''p") of these equations. In the next solve block, I try to fit experimental data - two rows - N33, P33 (where I1 is X). But unfortunately, minerre algorithm does not work giving me the error. The program is a bit busy, but the main problem is only in the last solving block. Probably someone could identify a problem in the syntaxis of the last solving block which tries to fit data by function "Pt" and parameters "Nt" and "Et". Probably the problem is that "N" and "Et" are vectors.
with the VB API on Creo 5 I am using model.Erase()followed bywindow.Close() But the window remains open, though the model is erased. Is there a solution for this? Q: What is the equivalent API for 'Erase not Displayed'? I also tried window.Clear()but that was of no use. Regards,~Tushar
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.5.1I need to open a modelfamily with pfcls in Powershell. Currently I'm only able to open the main model without the family. Can anyone help?

The width/height handling for tables in a drawing is extremely stiff and slow. Is it possible to make the table rows, columns and/or cells to grow dynamically based on the amount of content (eg text)? This would for example be handy for description and material columns in a BOM-table, the description column in a revision table or unassigned text boxes. If not, I'll post it as an idea... 🙂 A related idea regarding dynamic text size is already posted, but I don't see it as a good solution as the text would become unreadable once it's below a certain size:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Parametric-Ideas/Dynamic-Font-Height-option/idi-p/813418 Even though this video is meant as a help/guide/tutorial, it also shows the heavy amount of clicking and trial and error before the table actually get the necessary size for the text within it:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tn2X8_KmFSsAnd in case the text is changed, you have to redo it all again...
