Is there a way to write an equation with an unknown variable? The solution could then be displayed as a product of the variable, and then use another formula to cancel out the unknown variable. In the attached screenshot, the n at the beginning of the first equation is unknown. Therefore the solution of s(eff)/n = 140 mm can be rearranged to s(eff) = 140*n mm. This can be then be cancelled out in the second equation to solve for K. Note - In the screenshot (which is from a design guide), the guide confusingly uses n to define three different variables. In my workbook they are defined in order as n, n(1) and n(2), with n on the LHS of the equation being the unknown.

Hello everyone - My reference lines are not coincident with my axis despite being defined correctly. This is making it very hard to work on my projects - with all construction lines being graphed on the reference lines plane while all actual objects are being graphed on the actual axis planes. This is easiest seen in the attached screenshot where the dotted construction rectangle is on the reference axis and the actual object rectangle is on the plane axis. Apologies if the terminology is incorrect - I am a beginner. I've also included my reference line definitions. Please offer any advice - I have tried redefining my references, reinstalling the program (multiple times), importing properly defined part files (whose sketches end up looking the same way in my environment with construction lines on the reference planes and objects on the axis planes), and options / configurations from a properly working Creo parametric environment.    Specs - Windows 10 environment through VMWa

When trying to license Mathcad Prime 7.0. I select "Configure product to use existing license" , select "Source List", input the license information, then receive the message "The following products have been licensed. PTC Mathcad Prime 7.0. However when I exit this window the software is still unlicensed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello All, Please see attached.  I have cut 3 "half moons" in my assy which cut thru the "L" bracket. I have 4 "L" brackets in a 4 sided - open front box. When I do this, the system intersects the cut with "3975as9102-4" - which results in the bom as 3 brackets and 1 bracket in the bom instead of 4 of the same. Is there a way to get this back to 4? I had the moons associated to the "L" bracket originally, but broke the association thinking it would fix the problem. Nope. It appears to be associated by the intersection Creo needs to perform. Thereby singling it out as it's own part. If it were done in part mode as a separate item that would make sense. But that is not the case. The idea here is that we have the same 4 "L" brackets and in the assembly process one will need to be modified with the half moons and weld into place. The remaining 3 will not have the cuts. Otherwise the same bracket. I agree a bit unorthodox, but I am basically modeling up a 2d print again

So, I'm using Mathcad express prime 8, I've been trying it out in a trial, liking it so far, I've come to run into some issues: The first one is that despite having the decimal precision set to exactly 3, these numbers are being displayed as the full precision of the solver, and I have no idea why: No matter what I've tried, Nothing seems to fix it. Every other solution is displaying properly. The second issue I'm having are with these units. I wanted to display mΩ where appropriate, but I can't seem to figure out how to properly add units. The last issue is of this temperature issue. I'm trying to do a temperature analysis on a mosfet but the temperature units is giving me issues. I've tried to look for solutions online, but nothing seems to have worked.I'll be including the sheet if needed. Thanks!

So I'm working with a trial account while practicing with this software for a new job. I've tried to set up a simple algebraic equation, and set the solution to that equation to a variable, in which you can see here:I believe that I set the equation up correctly, however I'm getting this error telling me that R1 is not set up as a variable, despite me defining it with the solve above. Has anyone got a technique for monitoring the progress of a programme? If you are running a long iterative programme involving many loops (OK Prime is not the best for this I know), but still, it would be great if it were possible to trigger any kind of output to indicate progress. Thanks!

Hi All, I'm trying to calculate the properties of a weld. As part of this i need to integrate to the shape area to find area, second moment of area, etc. One of the piece wise function's gives an error once i go over a certain number on the depth.  The function works fine when calculating properties about the x axis but not the Yaxis. Please find the problematic function attached. Any idea's how to fix this?

Hello, All, Can someone help me how to define lead in/Lead out with radius function for the each slice of Trajectory Milling or other Milling？(Attached picture shows what I want) in Trajectory tool motion tab, we can only set Lead in /Lead out or Helica for the whole cut path, can not set Lead in/Lead out for each slice?  your help are appreciated!  

Making one cone with cap out of a role paper of 12 cm in width. Cone has θ in center angle. Cap and cone have largest areas and each with one piece. Find the minimum length, l(θ), of role paper required. If θ=90deg, then l=15 cm is the answer.
