I am trying to ensure models have their Unit Sensitivity turned ON.  I can toggle it with a mapkey but is there a way to ensure that it is set on (or off) for a part? 

How can i define a Default value for the UIReadStringMessage(true); The command appears in my jlinkapp without a defaultvalue. On page 79 of the helpfile you can read the note. A default value is displayed in the text box as Input.When user presses the Enter key as input in the user interface, the default value is not passed to the Creo Object TOOLKIT Java method; instead, the method returns a constant string use_default_string. When this string is returned, the applicationmust interpret that the user wants to use the default value.

Hello, I would like to create section views using straight lines, splines, and sometimes a combination of both. This was incredibly simple with Autodesk Inventor as in you simply drew a sketch on the drawing, set a reference surface and a distance to extrude it back and you were done. In Creo the best I can get is to either zoom way in and try to get it as straight as I can with the section tool (still looks horrible/wavy) or use 3D/Offset sections, but I have had issues ballooning parts when using these. Any insight would extremely helpful.

Hi Folks, Moved to Creo 12.4.1, Getting this notification every time I open a part or assembly: "Material usage parameters are out of date"Only way to make it go away is to use the "Update Materials Usage..." command.But that only lasts for that session, next time the files are opened, the message pops up again.Is there some point or purpose other than to be annoying?Regeneration does nothing to get rid of this notification.Thanks for any wisdom shared.

Hi Guys, Currently the area circled is only showing 1 line of information. I want to make this show 2 or 3 lines of information.  I know I can drag it up to where I want it in each session, but is it possible to sett its height every time I start Creo? Thanks,Jay 

Good morning I'm reaching out because my client recently bought a new computer and needs to transfer his current lifetime license to the new laptop. however the license management page no longer available since the company who used to administrate license in South Korea is no longer in business. Is there a way that I can access the account and do the transfer??

HelloI am a newbie with regards to MathCAD in general and the Checkbox functionality in particular.Running MathCAD prime 11.0.0.0I just wonder if there is a convenient way of generating an array of checkboxes  so that one make it simple to can "click on all that apply".Hope this is not too trivial..RegardsHallvard

I'm asking for a work around, because Toolkit will not work proper in the following scenario (my guess).   You have ONE Drawing with 2 Models BOX.PRT is active at sheet 1 and CYL.PRT is active at sheet 2   You get the scale with: ProDrawingScaleGet(drawing,solid,sheet,*scale)   If sheet 1 is active, the function  ProDrawingCurrentsolidGet() will return BOX.PRT, and now I have the Drawing, the Solid and the Sheet to get the scale, so far - so good. But if I activate sheet 2 via Toolkit, ProDrawingCurrentsolidGet() will return BOX.PRT again which is not correct.   There is no function to Update the Model Tree. The Drawing tree can be updated but the Model Tree will not reflect the change if I switch to Sheet 2 and display the Model Tree of the CYL.PRT.   Do I miss something here, or is there a trick. I tried ProDwgSheetRegenerate, Refresh Wind, Solid Model Tree, Regen and so on. But the call to ProDrawingCurrentsolidGet() will always return th

I wanted to know if it's possible to get the dll handle of another application from a toolkit application if both the applications are registered using registry file Prodev.dat.   Scenario: Suppose I am loading two add-in/plug-in DLLs at a time through prodev.dat file.Internally, i want to get the handle of each DLL, to communicate internally.Is there a way, i can get the DLL handle of each plug-in.Steps tried: Suppose, I am loading A.dll and B.dll through prodev.dat.When both gets loaded, I called toolkit API ProToolkitDllLoad() and passed B.dll path to get the B's handle.But, the API fails.If I try to call, ProToolkitDllHandleGet() , I don't have the first argument i.e. ProName application_idQuery from PTC team: Is there a way, i can get the Handle of B's DLL?

I'm trying to install Mathcad 14 on a new, Windows 11 computer. I know that it is a really old version, but it works extremely well for me and I don't have funding to upgrade. That said, when I run the license set up (after installing Mathcad 14), I get an error message: The remote server returned an error: (403) ForbiddenAny help at all would be much appreciated. I'm sort of lost without Mathcad (I use it daily).Thank you.

In the Creo Part File, I have a Part as a body, <A> In that I have created 2 appearances (1. Black[Which is default], 2. Green[New one])<B> In Combined State, has 1. Default All (referencing Black Appearance), 2. Paint (Referencing Green Appearance)<C> I can switch between them in the part, and it does what I need it for In the Creo .DWG File, I reference the same Part as above, <A> Sheet 1 references some views that have the Combined state Default with Black Appearance <B> Now I have a new sheet(Sheet 2) that has some views for the (At least that is the intent) Combined State of the Paint with Gren Appearance<C> Keep a note that all the Vies are shading with Edges But the Problem is that I never show black and green on sheets 1 and 2, respectively; it always goes to the default appearance that the part has, so if I change the part's appearance/ combined state, that drawing force changes for all sheets Do you have a

Does anybody know the correct code for reading out matrix content with JScript in MathCAD when loading it through the API?  This is the MathCAD simplified example in MathCAD Prime 11.  This is the code in the button: Reading a matrix value like this works excellent when loading the Matrix as a normal input variable without API. Other API functions works fine, like for instance Worksheet.Output.GetValue("EampleNumber").RealResult

My objective is to machine the internal contour using tool radius compensation (CUTCOM) and to ensure smooth ramp transitions between Z-level passes or using helical folling the profile to avoid marks on the final surface.I have tried the following approaches:The Cut Line strategy allows helical movements and smooth transitions between passes, but it does not support tool radius compensation (CUTCOM). This is a requirement for my process.The Profile Milling strategy does support CUTCOM, but it does not offer ramp or spiral entry between Z-level cuts. As a result, the tool plunges vertically at each level, which causes unwanted marks and steps in the internal diameter of the part.I've tried to explore all the SCAN_TYPE parameters. I created an assembly representing a commercial ball joint, called SKF_GE-4-C. This assembly is composed by a housing mounted by default and a sphere mounted with a "ball" connection type. If I drag components, everything is working fine at this level.Then I used this file as a component for another assembly called SUB, mounted as rigid. If I drag components, everything is working as expected at this level as well.However, when I insert SUB in another assembly called MAIN and try to constrain the hole of the ball with a fixed shaft, everything locks in place. I am not able to move the beam with drag components as I intend to do.Is it possible to get it to move preserving the same (or a similar) structure of assembly? What do you suggest? Using Creo 9.0.9.0. Files in attachment for reference.

I have the excel in that some type are there for e.g. frame size and its W,A etc. is there, I am trying to create this in Mathcad when I type the frame name it will automatically shows the all parameters related to that how this is possible in Mathcad for this I am using lookup function if anyone done this in past or have any suggestion how to achieve this pls comment on this I also attached the sheet and excel file.

Hello, I am adjusting the size of the dimension arrows in the detail options to make them smaller since we have many drawings where they are packed full of dimensions. I found the options to adjust the arrowhead height and length, but I can't find one to shorten the length of the tail. (see attached picture). Any help would be greatly appreciated.  

I have a case involving a beam structure suspended on ropes.After analysis, I expect to see how the structure is balanced (center of gravity neutral) and deformed.But I don't know how to define the rope correctly.Could someone please help me? Thank you in advance!

I have a mathcad 14 file made by someone else and I am having difficulty to get it to calculate properly I select 'Calculate now', 'Calculate Spreadsheet' and 'Automatic Calculation' and none of them actually seem to calculate. For a colleague it seems to work and we were unable to find the reason. for example, my colleague gets a plot here perfectly and I get this:  what could be causing this? the file is attached

Hi,  How do I install the XMCD/MCD converter on PTC Mathcad Prime 10? Is the only way to uninstall and reinstall Mathcad and select the extension? This is on a work computer so is there any other way to install it without doing that? Thanks
