Greetings! I made a table using Repeat Region > add > two-D, and selected the family table parameters, the names of the family table instances, and the values assigned to each one. However, I don't want a column to appear in this list, and I have no idea how to delete it. Could anyone tell me if there is a way to delete any of these columns? I can't even change the row or column size dimensions...
Hello community, I am looking to make a repetition of holes on a cylinder following a helix and points positioned on this helix. Knowing that each hole must be perpendicular to the central axis of the cylinder. Thank you for your help. Dear All, Currently by Using &asm.mbr.cparam.POS unable to use filter & Flat/Rec function in repeat region BOM.A solution is needed With regards,Thanoj Kumar V
I just signed up for Creo Elements Express 8.0 and got the message that there is no internet connection even when my internet is working fine. The screen asks for a Proxy Name and Port, but I don't know what I should put in. I am able to bypass the screen and got a 72 hour countdown to use the software offline. Will I have to pay for the software after 72 hours? Why won't it connect to my internet through my computer?Thank you,
I read that I cannot add a jog point to the leader of a radius, diameter, or chamfer callout. This is problematic, but I discovered a possible workaround™ in this forum... You reference the d### symbol in a leader note. The problem I have now is that the dimension does not show as BASIC. Is there a workaround for this workaround to make this function properly, or perhaps an option I missed? The attached image has an example... this note references the dimension which is set to basic, but it does not display as basic.
I am creating family table components. The probelem I have is that, I cant enter description for all instances of family table, so i created a relation like DESCRIPTION=" BOLT DIA &DIAMETER IN , &LENGTH IN LONG" so that it will display like, BOLT DIA 1 IN, 2 IN LONG Instead it displays like, BOLT DIA &DIAMETER IN , &LENGTH IN LONG in the description. Can someone say whats wrong with the expression ?? Thanks, Santhosh
Creo has added blue insertion line in model tree in Creo 7. Is there any way to disable blue insertion line.Let insertion line change back to older verion (green arrow).
I made modifications to my fasteners, but when I assemble a fastener size that is checked into windchill it uses that version instead of new modified version. Is there anyway of preventing this? Thanks
Hello,I have a problem with the creo post processor when i call an other coordonate system such as G55.Some context :I have 2 parts on a special clamping pallet with their own origin. G54 and G55.The final sequence is engraving serial number of each part. The problem :The first and the last point of the serial number have the same Y position (Y P1 = Y P2 = -12).The serial number is engraved at the same position on the two parts. By the way insisde their coordinate system Y positions are the same. D1 = D2In G54 Y P1 = Y P2 = -12 and in G55 Y P3 = Y P4 = -12 this is the corresponding code : What happens in real life : At the end of the first block, the cutter rises and keep the last Y position.G55 is read but because Y position is identical, Y is not recall on line 392. The cutter move to X -59.5 in G55 but stay at the same Y position instead of going to Y -12 in G55. Is there a way to force the post processor to output X and Y in case of changement of fixt
Hello, I am creating a function that prints multiple drawings at once. Now I'm getting options with ProPrintPCFOptionsGet and using ProPrintExecute to print the printer, and every time I use the ProPrintExecute function, I'm getting a pop-up specifying the printer.Of course, I know it's a necessary pop-up, but it's uncomfortable because a printer option pop-up appears whenever one drawing is printed when multiple drawings are printed. Is there any way I can adjust this pop-up so that it doesn't come out? The image of the pop-up is attached at the bottom.Thank you.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150 Creo software When opening the built-in browser interface of Creo software, it gets stuck and cannot do anything (the process does not display and is unresponsive). After killing the process, delete the cache folder and then open the software and use it normally. However, after exiting the software normally and entering it again, the same problem occurs. ; After modifying the built-in browser type to Google, it can be used normally, but you need to enter the user name and password every time. Hi All, I'm using PTC Creo 8.0 with simulate basic extension. I'm running into a very simple problem but can't find the right solution yet.To visualize the issue I made a simple strip with holes on both ends.In one hole I created a bearing load in the length direction of the strip. In the other hole a pin contraint.I my world this should give the same stress results in both holes. After all: "For every action in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction". But as shown in the screenshot below it isn't the same at all..I've already been testing with different solutions, but none of them resulted in equal results. Most close so far was to divide the hole in different regions and connect the upper region with a point in the center with a rigid link. However this means a lot of trial and error with the size of the region which is not very practical and very time consuming Somebody here knows what the right solution is? Thanks in advance!
I have a vendor that is asking for a 2D dxf file for their software. What is the best way to export (if there is one) to a 2d dxf file.
Good Morning. I am a new user for Creo schematics 9.0. I would like to use our company formats rather than default templates. Can you pls guide me how to retrieve other formats/Templates in Creo?
Why when you pick a feature in a part on the screen it only highlights the feature in the model tree under bodies??? This is dumb and should be changed to highlight the feature in tree in its location, not under bodies. PLEASE FIX A.S.A.P. It is better to know where it lies in the tree structure, not the body.
Was on Creo 3, just upgraded to Creo 10. I'm not happy with the new GTOL features. It seems significantly more limited than it was in Creo 3. From videos online, it seems the upgrade happened in Creo 4. Main gripes:1. What happened to the ability to select placement (i.e. free note, leader, tangent leader, in dim, in GTOL, etc)? You can select a reference but the ability to select how you want it displayed is greatly limited.2. I'm attempting to add a feature control frame to a hole note. It's not possible and gives a very wonky result. There's no way to correct this within the GTOL.I found this suggestion which I can't get working, and it's a poor workaround for what was functionally possible in Creo 3 anyway.Solved: how to place a GTOL on a hole note - PTC Community3. Tangent GTOL leaders (i.e. flatness and parallelism). There's no option to flip the direction of the FCF. You're stuck with whatever orientation it gives you. (EDIT: This seems to work on horizontal but not vertica
How does everyone go about attaching geometric feature control frames to surfaces via an existing witness line (I'm on Creo 6 btw)? There are some quirks when attempting to make this happen, you have to make the leader on the FCF go "tangent" so it hides along the existing witness line. Then, one must hide the arrow. If the FCF was attached to an existing size dimension, the FCF leader can be moved such that there is a gap between the FCF leader and the part object lines. (see attached images). You can alter the position of the FCF to left or right of the witness line by holding the shift key while dragging it left or right. (I suppose it's best not to question the reasoning behind such an unintuitive/obscure methodology for this). If you attach the FCF directly to the surface, you cannot get a gap between the FCF leader and the part object lines. Very frustrating. There is an old post here: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/No-break-between-witness-li
Hello, I'm using Creo Parametric 8.When I try to replace a model of a view the OK button is still greyed out. I am seeking clarification on whether the "Replace by Reference Model" option is designed for specific cases or if it is intended for use with any model replacement.
Good morning. We use Pro/TOOLKIT to explore and analyze PTC CAD files from a Windows executable program. To do this, we launch Creo via ProEngineerStart() then we load a file into Creo via ProMdlLoad() and finally we browse the different entities present in the file such as for example geometric tolerances via ProMdlGtolVisit(). My question is: Is it possible to access the reference feature ID of a geometric tolerance from a Pro/TOOLKIT function? I am attaching a screenshot in which you can see the procedure to follow to view this information in Creo. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely. I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.5.0We have made bends tables for spec driven piping in .csv format that match the examples shown. The only difference is we have a range for min and max radius where as your examples show the same size for radius, min, and max. The issue is that we can't change the bend radius for piping. when you go under modify>corner segment and select the corner you want to change the bend radius pick list is greyed out even though we have a range of radii to choose from.
Hello, today I've been trying to start contact simulation of some sort of an assembly. (sorry can't do any screenshots or give a model)I've started slowly and made my way as smooth as possible to make sure results are valid. 1. geometry was prepeared acording to drawing documentation2. adding simulation features3. doing small sub assemblies to check if everything is connected4. finally adding time dependent force to act on assymbly and boom nothing is working. Spending 8more hours to find the error. Nothing has been found everythin has been checked. and than after 12 hours of search and tests i'm turning back Time dependence from my table defined function back to ramp(predefined function) and somehow it starts to work without any problem. Has anyone of you met this problem??? What should i do next. It is 5 full workdays to completely rebuild model from scratch. I don't want to(
Using Creo 9.0.1.0I have a drawing program watching the state in Windchill (InWork, Under Review, Released, etc) as the state changes the drawing program updates a parameter with a message displayed on the border of the title block (“InWork - not for production use”)I need to update that program to include a new state with a new message. Right now the drawing program is unique to each drawing file. Is there a setting to reference a file that can be updated in a single location? Or any way to make a bulk update using a script Creo|SON or anything other than opening each file every time a program update is needed?
In my creo's manage file window lock file or unlock file option is not available. is there any configuration setting needs to be changed for that??
Hi, I have a question about splitting a surface in Creo 7.The face in question looks like this. I would like to split this surface where the line is. See picture. This due to me wanting to draft the faces opposite direction, one CW and one CCW of the hinge above. Product in question is to be molded, therefore the desired features. Can this be done using Creo 7.0.7.0? Best regards, Fredrik
Hi, I have to make flexible a subassembly for use it in double copy in an assembly. I have to change independtly, for the two identical and flexible subassembly, the inclination angle of a pin constraints. How can I do it? Best regards, Michele Barile
