How to identify the feature to which the GD&T symbol is attached in a 2D drawing using Pro ToolkitIs there any API functions available for this purpose? Thanks
Can we create the color pdf just the shadow view and not the title block?
I am learning CREO after using SolidQworks for some time. Are there PTC/Creo Tutorials to understand how to modify Creo Assemblies? I would like to extrude cut a part (jig) in a CREO assy to accommodate the new revision of the part design. Or do I have to trace a 2D planar profile of the existing part to make a cut and modify this geometry for the 3D geometry to fit? Maybe I just need to start with the basic tutorials for building parts and assys. Pictured is a cross-section view of the conflict. Thanks! CREO Parametric V9.0..1.0
In creo toolkit how to visit each component surface?
Hello, can we use pro/program or any other method to hide/unhide layers as per the input we are giving in Creo 3D model?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.7.0How can I make the custom weld symbol that I need? I have an image of the symbol I need to create, but I don't know how to replicate it within Creo.Image of symbol:https://i.imgur.com/g0cREkW.pngA colleague created this symbol in SolidWorks. I need to put this symbol in my drawing in Creo. Thanks,
I notice that in CREO Parametric 10.0.0, to add Arrows for a Cross-sections you have to first open up the edit hatching tab (by clikcing on the hatch lines), then switch the to the Layout tab to find the Arrows tool. It looks like you can no longer start with the Arrows tool and then click on the desired hatching either. Is there an easier way to show the placement Arrows of a Cross-section than having to switch tabs?
I have noticed over the years the default style of the hatch lines of Cross-sections has changed on 2D drawings. Now with CREO Parametric 10.0.0, it looks like the default (without material properties set) comes in at variable value for the spacing depending on the size of the part, where I used to only have to do a half spacing once or twice to make it look good, now they are needing more clicks to get them like I used to. A small 5" part will have a hatch spacing that looks almost solid, while a 400" part has a very wide spacing value with barely any lines on the hatch. Are there any best practices or tips on what hatch spacing settings should be used for hatch lines on a part drawing cross-sections?
Creo parametric 4.0 m090 Not working through vpn but is working normally through the company networki contact our network administrator and said that everything is fine in our network.what i tried1- reinstall creo 2-changing the path to IP / servername/ 3- some more methods i dont remember nothing works Hint : we are using Pulse vpn ,and creo works with 1 user laptop through vpn Thank you!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.4.0I have 3 groups in our company that use the same config.sup and config.pro.All use the same drawing formats. One group want to use dual dimensioning. I am not willing to give them different drawings with different .dtl files. Is there a way to create UDF or set a local config option that will allow them to use dual dimensioning without going thru all of the selections to set up dual dimensioning? i have the drawing .dtl file set up so that when they change to dual dimensioning, all other settings are ready to go.Just looking to shorten the 9-10 clicks per drawing to change to dual dimensioning. Here are the errors that I facedno errors
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150In compatible design, the electronic side will name the compatible devices together (such as PK...RK...PRT, which should actually be two devices PK...PRT and RK...PRT), and import EMN into The device cannot be found after Creo. PTC Ronggong (Hui) said that modifying the configuration options in the config configuration file can solve this problem. We are close to rolling out Creo 9 and I have opened up a bunch of tickets regarding the hatch patterns here are the highlights: 1. There is a bug in Creo 9 where cross hatching shows up as solid: You can change this by editing the values in the hatch_pattern_scale.cfg file which is located at \Common Files\text\crosshatch. However, if you make the scale large enough so that the hatch isn't solid then the preview becomes so large you can't differentiate between the hatches. It sounds like this is getting fixed in Creo 9.0.6 (SPR 14461770). You can manually adjust the scale in the hatch edit dialog box but I was trying to avoid making my users do this for every hatch. 2. The only way to remove all of the default hatch patterns if you aren't going to use them is to edit the .pat files in the load point (or overwrite them with a startup script). You can not remove ANSI31 as that is the default pattern in the model space. If you remove that one then hatch patt
Just started using CREO Parametric 10.0.0..... and notice that there is no option to set a standard tapped hole to have a thread depth through the entire length of the hole. For example, in part modeling making a hole-set references - set Standard type - set to thru-all depth setting- add tapping - go to Shape tab - the only option for thread depth is a blind specified value. No Thru Thread option.
Dear PTC, I have an inquire about the possibility of including the new CREO+ in the license package "University Plus Edition"; I have been a satisfied user of your software with the University Plus Edition, and I recently learned about the introduction of CREO+. The enhanced features and capabilities it offers align perfectly with the evolving needs in the academic field. PTC has the idea to add CREO+ to the current license package 'University Plus Edition' for future works? Thanks for the time
Good morning. We currently use Pro/TOOLKIT (via .lib libraries) to communicate with Creo: launching Creo, opening a CAD file, etc... Does Creo+ offer the same toolkit functionality to communicate with it? Thank you in advance for your help. Hello All, Is there a config.pro command which unchecks the Intersection, "Automatic Update" by default. I prefer adding the intersection models manually. Thanks,
Hi, The situation is that I have an assembly of 5000 entities and I am trying to convert it to .obj file but the only way I can find is by selecting the entities individually. Is there a way or command that selects the entire assembly? Thanks, regards.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.4.0I need to replace the drawing format of sheet 2 of my drawing with Custom Size, 1x1 mm, format. Using JLink
Hello, When we try to import step assemblies in Creo 10, there is a model check message that we have to click many times before the assembly opens. Do you know how to avoid this? I already tried to see in the config options if there is a setting i could change but couldnt find something that makes sense. Thanks
Hi Community, I would like to query the status of a prt, asm, drw with Excel VBA. So whether an object is checked out, new, in progress, etc. I found the status for checked out in the API "IpfcServer --> IsObjectCheckedOut(WorkspaceName as String, ObjectName as String) as Boolean " But I can't find any function/method for status "New" or "Work in progress". I would like to check beforehand whether an object is mutable. Does anyone have any ideas on this please? Greetings Hannes Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ich möchte gerne den Status eines prt, asm, drw mit Excel VBA abfragen. Ich möchte vorher prüfen, ob ein Objekt änderbar ist. Hat
I have created a mapkey to open a .prt and import to .stp(refer config2.pro). I succeed on that one. But I also have several .prts to convert to .stp. so I copy the mapkey, pasted various instances and replaced the .prt names(config3). but it didnt work. later i found some tools from here Repeatable Mapkey Generator – 4K Side and that one works.how did that work mine gives error?
Hello community, I am working on creo 9.0.2.0 I am defining my own struct as this:typedef struct ParmNote {struct ParmNote *Next;struct ParmNote *Last;char Note[120];wchar_t wcNote[120];}NOTE_PARAM; In a later function I have: {NOTE_PARAM *Current , *Next , *Last , *First;First = (NOTE_PARAM *)(mParm->PString);Last = First->Last;Current = Last;Next = (NOTE_PARAM *)malloc(sizeof (NOTE_PARAM));Current->Next = Next;First->Last = Next;Current = Next;Current->Next = NULL;} When it reaches the underlined line of code "Current->Next = Next;", creo fatally crashes. I do not understand why this is causing Creo to crash, as this exact logic worked in Creo 5. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you,Mark Hardebeck
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0For an assembly I have a closed box filled with liquid. I can calculate the volume by creating a quilt and create a measure or analysis. If i add a component in the Iiquid the volume should be recalculated. Is this possible? I would like to avoid boolean operations cause i think this might slow my system. I tried adding a search function to create a query for the components inside the part, but this generates a layer and does not update if I add another part at a later stage.Do anyone have a suitable method for solving this? Here are the errors that I facedNone
Hey Community, I've got this wacky issue effecting imported images using the Image Tab(Attached is a 6in x 6in image being scaled by 1in=1mm and 1in=25.4mm) I've tested this and have reproduced it in:Creo 4 M150 (Current Software at my company)Creo 7.0.8.0 (Customer version)Creo 8.0.7.0 (Planned update to this version) It seems whenever a .drw is created without a model connected to it the units used for image scaling default to 1in=1mm. (Also effects resolution of the image) If you then create a new drawing of a .prt with "use template" in the new drawing dialogue box it carries this scaling over to the new drawing with no way to change it. Thus any image that comes in so tiny that a DXF has to be used instead of images on any print that was created using this method. If you create a new drawing of a .prt with "empty with format" in the new drawing dialogue box it changes the scale to 1in=25.4mm or Unit Conversion Factor for the unit specified the .DTL. (
New Creo Schematics user. I'm trying to add a jump or bump to show cables that are not connected. Anyone know a procedure on how to go about doing it? Thank you
