You can see two quilt icons in the Design Tree. (one red, the other purple)I am curious about the difference between these two icons.
If the first digit of the tolerance value is 0 while creating a geometrical tolerance, 0 is not expressed and appears as shown in the figure below. Why is this?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0User is trying to access Sensitivity Analysis (Analysis -> Design Study -> Sensitivity Analysis) for part and the prompt "The option Behavioral_Modeler has not been acquired".I am wondering if this option tool is a toggle that I can turn on for the user or if this is an extension that would need to be purchased. If it is the initial, can you please guide me on how to turn it on for this user.PS. I have also tried following these articles for the user- https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/evergreen-assets/safelinks/1/atp-safelinks.html- https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/usascii/index.html#page/model_analysis/bemod/Example_Sensitivity_Analysis.html- https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r8.0/usascii/index.html#page/model_analysis/bemod/To_Set_Behavioral_Modeling_Configuration_Options.html- https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r8.0/usascii/index.html#page/model_analysis/bemod/About_Configuring_Behavio
Hi,I created a partial view with a colored zone. Picked my point and did my spline. Now I want the exact same partial view with a regular section black and white. Is there anyway I can copy the exact origin point and spline and apply it to my second partial view that I want to be the exact same?
This question was also asked about 3,5 years ago: Multiple-views-in-one-window At that time, the anwser was no. But is this possible nowadays? I want to show multiple views in MBD, just like you can show multiple drawing views on a drawing. Why? I don't want our users to search for the correct MBD view to get the dimension they are looking for. (Did the enigeer put this dimension in the front view? Or the section view? Or the top view?) If not, then MBD might not be very productive for us...
How to set a default developed length for all bends in a sheetmetal model to return to driven in Creo Parametric 8.0 ?
we need 6 Creo Parametric 7.0 licenses for the US. Request you to please provide the details ASAP.
Hello,I want to display a model parameter on an assembly drawing.I know that I can display the parameter by adding the note: &parameter. But because the model is an assembly I have to add a number behind it if I want to display a parameter of a model in the assembly structure. like: &parameter:<number>.How can I find out which number I have to use for which model in the assembly structure?(At this moment I am doing it with trail and error 😞 )
Hi all, I am very new CREO and have been exploring how to design PCBs in CREO. The Company that I work for requires to some work to be done in thermal analysis (Steady State and Transient Analysis) of PCB on CREO. I have tried to import files from KICAD. But when I try to import the .emp or .emn files all I get to see the PCB rectangle board. I have also tried creating a PCB on CREO but it doesnt come out correctly. So I require further assistance/tutorial/reading material: 1) How design a PCB on creo? 2) How to open files from other ECAD Software? 3) How to go about performing a thermal analysis. Especially for the Material and Boundary Conditions. What are the limitations of CREO and how to deal with error while importing the files? License Details: Basic. I understand my questions could be quite broad and would require more details, but it would great if I can find something to start of with as it more like a learning curve. Thank you so much
in smartassembly, I use a chinese parametic in code. Creo must crash after run the code
Hello everyone,Does anyone know which TOOLKIT or Object TOOLKIT function can be used to implement the copy geometry function? Thanks!
Hello. Is it possible to set the velocity of a servo motor depending on the load applied to it, inside a dynamic analysis? For example, the linear drive (or hydraulic cylinder) below, would have a variation on velocity, depending on the angle of the arm, due to the variations on torque applied to the electrical motor (or pump). This would go according to the motor's torque and speed curve. And, how to give a maximum speed? It would also need a domain. If, linear drive force F<=5000N, then Velocity (mm/s) is 20.If, linear drive force F>5000N, then Velocity (mm/s) is 20-0,001*FMy objective is to determine predict the magnitude of the velocity of the load. I could first get the force in function of time, got to excel and calculate the velocity in function of time, thengo back to creo and add it the servo, but this would need a few iterations and extra steps, before I get the equations correctly. Mr. @SweetPeasHub, I have seen other thread that you participated,
I am using Creo Parametric Release 3.0 and DatecodeM010In my model I have two parameters that read : DESCRIPTION_LINE_1 and DESCRIPTION_LINE_2. These two lines show on my drawing title block as two lines of text if the description of the part is too long to fit on a single line.Is there any way to combine these two parameters so that in my BOM on an assembly drawings both lines of the description appear?Currently I am only getting the first line of the description based on the report parameter asm.mbr.description_line_1
I have created O-ring model with revolve feature with ellipse cross section with axial and radial distances. Now i want to assemble them and simulate the actual assembly condition. case 1 (Assemble on the shaft groove): inner diameter is constant and outer diameter will be squeezed which change the cross section of the Oring axially) case 2 (Assemble inside the Hole): Outer diameter is constant and inner diameter will be squeezed which change the cross section of the Oring axially) Is there a way to create a o-ring with reflect the assembly condition with relations just by changing the ID or OD rather than changing the cross section manually ?
In case anyone else is considering this upgrade. This Windows 11, version 22H2 update required uninstall and reinstall of FlexLM license server. The machine getting the update is the server and FLexLM was not functional after update. There is a history of a Windows 10 update also causing the same requiring a reinstall of FlexLM license server.
The similar question was in article CS227984, but there is no answer.See video:https://drive.google.com/file/d/19DslfMO13wwg_oEGFs01VKbD_yPcI6hL/view?usp=share_link When loading the same version of part in Creo3 and Creo 6, regeneration occurs differently. In Creo 3 have not failed elements when regenerating. In Creo 6, some features fail even though the model version is the same.File config.pro the same.Question: on what settings depends the result of regeneration in this case?
Is it possible to pattern a pattern of patterns?I am able to create a pattern of patterns, but i would like to know if i could create another level.I have tried several times, but pattern interface is disabled. See the image below, can i create another element that creates a pattern which includes father and sons?
Does anyone have any tutorial on exploring all the options in GD&T advisor.
Hello, I would like to generate a 2D - .pdf-drawing from a file, which is an .dwg file. This file consists of one sheet which consists of three drawings itself (this is strange itself I think). See attached screenshot "File_View". There you can also see the strange reprensentation of the drawing itself and esoecially its figures and characters. When I safe this .dwg file as an .pdf file / drawing (even with 600pdi) its not usable in my view - see atachement "Drawing_pdf". I zoomed in for the screenshots. The font and the size is the main problem I guess. The smaller drawings are even worse - see "Drawing_pdf_4" as an example. CREO tells me, the size is 291.147 by 80.4057 (I guess "mm"). I dont know how to slice the drawing up into different sheets and how to change the size if its even necessary. The drawing comes from CN. If you want import or export info or any other info - please tell me. Can someone help me or does someone have a clue what the pr
OK so I can make 3+2 move only but after rotation statement gets printed 4 times!. Anyone know how?
Hello, I'm trying to create and simulate contact analysis on mounted parts there are 6 main frames, 12 bolts and 4 pins with around 20 contacts defined. simulation doesn't converge at all. everything i've tried didn't get me anywhere always contact area is dancing around and residual factor too. I'm sure that I have defined all the contacts in all the places. All the frames are modelled as 1 part and all the bolts has slight interpenetration to create pretension. But it doesnt converge at all. Is there any good practice how to create contact simulation with many contacts? \ Things that i've tried: create pretension, delete pretension, fine mesh, rough mesh, change parameter called sim_contact_tolerance_factor increase/decreace, change convergence settings, finite friction, infinite friction, 0 friction, Example of convergence: Load factor : 1.00000e-01 Residual norm tolerance: 1.00000e-09 -------------------------------------
While crafting this "toy" CAD model to answer another question on this forum, I re-discovered the curious issue that one sometimes encounters with models which "goes away" if you play with the model accuracy. The dimpled top surface is generated by (graph-driven) variable section sweep. The model works fine if the absolute accuracy is 0.001 (or greater?) - but fails when it is smaller... The model in the attached zip file is failing as it was saved with absolute accuracy value set at 0.0001. Isn't it concerning that increasing the fidelity of the model breaks it? This model made in Creo 4; I'd be curious to hear whether such problems are not encountered in newer version of the software.
Hi,in the introductory video of what's new in Creo 9.0, in the Sketcher section, there is "Auto-scale first sketch".Looking in the config I found the option:sketcher_auto_scale_dimensions which by default is set to "yes".The description of the option is: "When creating the first sketch in the model and modifying the value of a weak dimension for the first time, controls whether to auto scale the sketch in proportion to the modified dimension. "I haven't been able to make it work yet, maybe I misinterpret it, has anyone managed to make it work?Thank you.I use creo 9.0.0.0
Hello! To create a report for Fire Certificate Inventory List (EN 45545) I want to use a repeat region of my top-level assembly. For every part, I need to report the assembly where it is mounted. Is there any option to report the Part Number (or any other parameter) of the immediate upper level?I hope the picture below can explain this case better. Thanks!
Can an autogem mesh created from a subassembly and saved be re-used in a top-level assembly autogem mesh? I'm using Creo Simulate (Creo Parametric 7.0.10.0), native mode. I have saved several subassembly meshes and I would like to use them in a top-level assembly, but I'm unable to make it work. The subassembly meshes do not appear in the top level with all the connections that were created at that level; I must recreate them at the top level. The saved meshes are stored in the active workspace in Windchill as .mma files (.mmp files for parts). I noticed that there is more literature available related to assembly meshes when using FEM mode. Is that the mode I should be using to create and save meshes for this task? Can this not be done using native mode? Thanks!
