I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150After changing the dimension of a feature (for example change length from 25 to 1000), all the font size and position of 3D annotations (include dimensions, 3D symbols, 3D finish, Datum Target, Note etc.) are changed. How to config Creo to avoid those changes?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0Korean language is not shown on 2D.Here are the errors that I facedKorean language shows like square box.
Hello! Im from germany, so please don't mind my bad english 🙂 I've got a problem with Creo Parametric 3.0 on Windows 10 (64bit) The last weeks Creo works fine, but today I grabed accidentally my "Platzierung/Placement" button and now all the parameters disappeared. I can't do any new placements now. I already restart the system 2 times and completly reinstalled my Creo Software. The other buttons (Bewegung/move) working fine! The only thing I can do is "Alt +Tab" to make the Placement window visible, but I can't change anythink because when I click on it, it disappears again. Thanks a lot for your help, and have a nice day!
Is there a work around for fixing the bom index of flexed components within CREO 6? I am unable to fix the index of anything flexed within a large assembly.
How to configure and use ModelCHECK
I have some advanced simulation entities in my model from when I had the license for advanced simulation, which I do not have anymore. But with the advanced simulation entities, creo parametric would not open simulate app at all. Can someone please let me know how to delete the advanced simulation entities from my .prt file so that I can access the simulate app? Thanks.
Whenever I create an animation in PTC Creo Parametric it is always the same size. It does not matter if I do it with rendered shots or not. For example, for my 10 seconds animation it is round about 1.5 Gigabytes. That is a lot. In my opinion Creo must store a lot of unecassary information. Does somebody know how to reduce this size? Why is it always the same size? I am exporting with 25 fps on Creo 8.0.4.0
When I convert a metric part to inch I get 12 decimal places on the drawing. how to I limit the decimal places to 4?
Hello, On my part, I use the volume milling function to create a slot diameter 4.2mm at the bottom of a side pocket in my part. For that I use an end mill diameter 4 and it works well. But when I try to use the cutter compensation (G41), nothing changes in the Gcode file. I have other sequences such as profile milling and the G41 is correctly converted into the GCode. It never works with volume milling? Does someone have an idea? Thanks in advance
Hello all, Is there some way to set the filter in the lower right of the status bar programmatically to narrow the selection type?
How do I assign a weight to a shrink wrapped part with no weight?
I was reviewing a drawing for release and noticed that the engineer had put appended text to a dimension, "TEXT HIGHT" on the drawing face. The word 'HIGHT" is not in either 'dictionary' file, but ModelCheck did not flag it as a misspelled word. Is there a setting for ModelCheck to check appended text to dimensions? If not, I will open an idea to have ModelCheck check appended dimension text.
I'm having an issue where the diameter symbol is staying bold even after changing the font to legacy. Even if the dimension is created after the font change, it still is bold. The picture below shows the ASME (left) vs LEGACY (right) fonts. I can work around this by manually copying and pasting the diameter symbol from the GTOL frame to the dimension text, but this is slow and a pain on large drawings. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to report this bug to PTC for fixing
Hello everyone,We will move from Site license server to a global license version. In your opinion, what would be the best approach? To situate, the sites are spread all over the world from Europe, Americas and Asia and each site has its own server and with the move to global licenses it no longer makes so much sense to use server per site. thanks in advanceRui Ferreira
My Dell Precision workstation has a Quadro RTX5000 I spoke to an Industrial designer friend at Dell before purchasing this laptop and he said never skimp on a video card. 384 resolution on a laptop. So I was thinking and after using it for the past few years of a few enhancements that might be noted for future releases of Creo. I thought I would bounce this one by the folks on the forum. So many probably don't know that if you draw a line in sketcher that you can change the linetype *ptc calls incorrectly a font .... or change color. I want to also change the line thickness and have a few selections or even be able to increment thickness of lines. Maybe a developer would consider an option to have the line weight pull thru surfaces or solids as if the surface or solid had a slider for opacity. Once Creo 9.0 question: What config.pro setting turns off the menu *always on* in creo 9.0 Bart Brejc
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM040How to set the default slant angle for the text in drawing
I've used Creo Schematics / RSD for a long time. My understanding is this tool was developed from Medusa which is why there are .she files. Medusa 😉 Once I asked you Jim why we cant' Cut and Paste in RSD and you mentioned we can. So not wanting to push further I realize maybe I'm wrong. What I meant to state is something more specific. So I'm editing a symbol in Schematics. I want to cannibalize a part of one symbol and use it in another symbol. CONT C will work in the symbol *BLOCKS I'm on but when I exit out and reach to edit another symbol CONT V or paste is not held apparently in cut paste memory. And I meant to suggest this 15+ years ago. Lets call it a symbol not a 'blocks'. The word 'blocks' is to close to the word block which is part of a block diagram. I might have wasted 20 hrs in Schematics before even noticing the S on the end 😉 Also we sho
I would like to design a compliant hinge joint in the same vane as the one presented in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvPSsUkLypY&ab_channel=TheFACTsofMechanicalDesignHow would I go about doing so? So far as I can understand, I believe the solution lies somewhere in adding flexibility to the design, but I'm not entirely sure. I want to be able to model the rolling motion as well as the compliance of the connecting linkage if at all possible. Below I've shared what I've developed so far.
Dear Creo Team, My Name is Santosh vishwakarma, I am the user of the Creo from last 15 years. I would like to suggest for the improvement of the Drafting module.1. I suggest if the drafting Text and dimension can be auto set as per the scale factor of the Page size, for example : if user has selcted A4 sheet then the Text and arrow size should be auto set to the desire visible criteria of drawing factor , it should Not be tiny or large visible, Actually it needs all the time setting the text size and arrow size as well as extension line and gaps etc. 2. Also the hidden line issue have been seen in case of projection, User has to select and correct for each time. It should show automatic projection lines of the hidden as well. 3. Also the there is one facilitation is required for Drawing no generation in order to continuation if multtiple drawings of child parts are created for the particular Assembly. So that the drawing number can be in order to de
I'm using a remote desktop connection for the following user appears for me The error "(-103) Cannot checkout an uncounted license within a windows terminal services guest session" or "Terminal Server Remote Client Not Allowed" is received while launching application like Creo . See this image: The distance between 45° and the curved line is huge compared to the distance between 24.5 and its straight line, making it look a bit weird and inconsistent. I have searched in the config.pro but there doesn't seem to be any setting for this. Any ideas?

Hello All, I have been trying to run the following code as a Macro on Excel to get the name of current model open in Creo :Sub Macro1() Dim asynconn As New pfcls.CCpfcAsyncConnectionDim conn As pfcls.IpfcAsyncConnectionDim session As pfcls.IpfcBaseSessionDim mdlname Set conn = asynconn.Connect("", "", ".", 5)Set session = conn.session mdlname = session.CurrentModel.FilenameRange("A1").SelectActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = mdlnameMsgBox ("Name: " & mdlname)conn.Disconnect (2) End Sub However, I get the following issue when entering the line of "Set conn = asynconn.Connect("", "", ".", 5)" I have already added PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE to my system variables, run vb_api_register.bat adn added creo library to the references.Does anybody know how can I fix this issue? Thank you in advance
Issue: Annotations not showing in drawing Views with different combination states. There are three different annotations. I want to show two annotations in one view and the third annotation in the other view-the two views are in different combination states but of the same model (assembly).•Two different views with different combination states.•The annotations are not showing even after selecting the annotation tab and selecting show annotations. The annotations are in a part within the assembly.•In the model (an assembly) the annotations show in both combination states with no issues.•In the drawing they do not show.
