How to run simulation using higher number of cores?
Is 2D analysis possible with ANSYS CREO?
Is it possible to make a bolted connection of bolt, washers and nuts (not a sub assy) like in inventor. Then easily place it in mutiple locations with minimal constraint requirements to position.
I am using Creo Parametric 8.0 8.0.0.0I use Creo Parametric every day. My Windows 10 computer received a security update last Thursday night. When I got in to work on Friday Creo was constantly going non-responsive. I uninstalled the security update and Creo seemed to work for the rest of the day. When I got to work this morning (Monday) my computer installed updates again. Again Creo wouldn't function because every time I clicked on something it would go non-response for 20 seconds to a minute. I uninstalled the updates again (I think they were different updates this time). No luck. Creo remained unresponsive. So, I took the opposite approach. I installed the latest graphics drivers and installed all possible windows updates. No luck. Creo is still unresponsive. Please help. This is preventing me from getting any of my work done.
Actually, I'm planning to hide some of columns in "Repeat region table", which contains family table information. Could you please help me , how to hide specific columns y name using VB API or tool kit.

As per the original post. Hello Jose_Costa, Quick question. Is the Video Link: 4874 still available? Thank you, Mike
Hi,I use Gathering Part -property in Windchill Parts to hide some assembly levels from BOM exports.I would also like to hide the same items in the Creo drawing BOM tables but I can't find a way to link the Gathering Part -property from Windchill Part to a parameter in CAD document which could be used in filtering the parts out.Does anyone know a good way to do this?
I'm using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.1.0I'm trying to produce a hole into a cylindrical object (pipe). Neither the drilling feature nor the revolver- or profil feature manage to produce this drilling regardless how it ist set up. I tried it with offset and planes, different diameters of the drilling and every trick i could think of. Funny enough the profil feature has no problems making a shape of any kind instead of a round or elyptical hole. It seems it has a problem with the radius as even elyptical holes or everything with a radius seem not to work. Despite everything the axis will be shown in the part and even the outer surface of the drilling if marked in the feature tree. What surprises me the most is that the error wasn't present before yesterday as i have made dozens of those kind of parts in the past few days with simillar or even the same kind of features without any problem. Here are the errors that I faced :Despite producing a complete shutdown of Creow wit
Is there an easy way to create a smooth variable draft when there are several surfaces of varying length? Here is a simplified example of the issue: The drafted surface is made from several segments of different length and the draft hinge is the edge of those segments. It appears that Creo is splitting the change in draft angle evenly over each segment rather than over the length. Is this what the draft feature is expected to do? I was expecting it to smoothly make the variation over the full distance. Creo 7.0.8.0
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0Cannot use parameter "&ptc_material_name" in drawing mode for assembly file. Please guide me how to solve this problem.
Hi there In Creo 8 I noticed that the dimensions* snap at different points to the snap lines. For top and right side the dimensions are left-aligned, for bottom and left the dimensions are right-alignedIn my opinion this has quite a negative effect on the readability of the drawing. Is there a way to change that behavior? *this is also true for all regular, non-ordinate dimensions. Regards
HelloI am using Creo Parametric Release 3.0 and DatecodeM190 on Windows 10 - 21H2the program start and failed. did someone experience the same issue ?Thank you
Hi guys, I want to ask if there is still time to use after my license expires, or if it is directly prohibited. I know he will give a prompt before the expiration, but if it is too late to renew the contract, how long will he prohibit me from using it?
I am using Creo Simulate Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.4.0I am trying to run a static analysis on an assembly and I cannot get it to mesh. I get degenerate boundary face warnings but the markers are off in space and not on the highlighted part. The parts in question are mirrored parts, yet this same warning was not detected on the parent part? I do not understand what the problem is. Please help with:1. What is a degenerate boundary face anyway. I cannot find any explanation on what it is.2. How do you fix it?3. In general Creo is quick to give warnings, but awful at explaining what it means or how to fix it.Here are the errors that I faceddegenerate boundary face detected.
Hi all,I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to export an image of a 2D drawing (JPEG), with relevant metadata captured in the file details? We are trying to create a digital library of all of our drawings so we can reference to find copycat/similar jobs to act as starting points when starting a new contract design. We create tens of drawings per week, all with slight variations on our standard off-the-shelf designs, and we currently just use a series of folders containing thousands of printed drawings (which obviously takes ages to look through every time we need to reference something). We are hoping to create a digital library of our general arrangement drawings with data such as 'product rating', 'customer', 'shell size' etc., contained within the file rather than just the standard 'date created' etc. Is there a way to pull information from within the drawing/model parameters, and capture this in the metadata of an exported drawing to allow filtering? We will be using ShareP
Hello, By reading ASME Y14.41-2019, para. 7.2.6 Query, subsection (e) Feature Control Frames, Datum Feature Symbols, and Datum Targets, sub-subsection (1) "Upon selection of a feature control frame, the datum feature symbols and datum target symbols that correspond to the datum references shall be highlighter or otherwise distinguished from other entities on the display, See figure 7-8", I'm struggling to made it possible to comply with CREO 7, since the paragraph basically states that if I query a feature control frame related to datum reference frame A|B|C, with datum targets B1, B2, C1 & C2, those symbols must highlight, my problem comes where I cannot make that happen. The reason behind that is that, using figure 7-8 for the same standard, even if I use "Select the datum reference from the model" option within the feature control frame on CREO, you can select a datum target, and the letter will be added, but it will not be linked to the datum target (also yo
Hello there, Having issues to install the license on several laptop I created a triad but with the wrong license file ... Can someone help me to delete the triad or unlink the associated hosts ID ? (I already removed the license and desactivated the triad in the hardware management but I still can't connected each of my 3 hosts ID that were in the triad to a new license ?) Thank you for taking the time to read my message, I need those for thursday ..
Hello friends, We run ProSelect() in our extension, and want to make the ProSelect() function call return on demand using some kind of API. One thing I noticed is that the ProSelect() function call returns immediately after clicking Cancel on the select dialog, which makes me think that we may imitate such behavior using an API without the user actually clicking that button. Thanks for your answers.BR.
I want to be able to control the Detail View Circle and Section View cutting plane line weights independent from the geometry and Letter pens. Currently the Section View cutting plane line is within the Pen 1 (Geometry) and the Detail View circle is in Pen 2 (Letter). I want to make the lines weights for both to be a thick line but don't want to make my dimensions thick. They need to stay thin line. Is there a way to control that in the pen table or do I need to create another plot file to do this? Thanks.New Creo 7.0 user.
Three weeks ago, I managed to learn and made mecbatch.bat work for me. The mecbatch.bat enabled me to run one week's job load over only one weekend! I was proud to announce the "breakthrough" in productivity improvement. However, I can't make the mecbatch.bat work any more. What could be the causes? Do you have any hints? What I have noticed before I found out mecbatch.bat couldn't work any more were: 1)My Creo session, which had never been closed (because I disabled auto-update function), was closed for some unknown reason/force; 2) An error message popped up when I open Creo session, saying IFX function can't be loaded. My question is how to make "IFX function can't be loaded" happen? batch run is a basic function. Thanks.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM120Hello, as a customer with an active support contract, we are looking to download some older software that is no longer available on the web.On the download page, it clearly states "For unavailable older (expired) date-codes, open a Support Case".I am opening up a case to get the following software:- Creo 4.0 date-code M120- Creo 6.0.4.0Thank you.Bryce Smithbryce.smith@conmet.comHere are the errors that I facedNeed older software
I've never had this issue before, but I got a new computer with the exact same installation of Creo 8.0 so why would I expect it to behave the same. For some reason, sections no longer appear in the model tree when a file is opened. Now if I try to create a new section, then magically all the existing sections appear in the model tree and I can select them, but NOT UNTIL I CREATE/CANCEL CREATION A NEW SECTION. This is supposed to be controlled with the model tree filters, but checking and unchecking the box does absolutely nothing. Now once I've opened the section creation dialogue box, then the checkbox does what you would expect. But not before you've begun section creation. Really?!?!? Can't you get anything to work right?
Hi good morning...i want to install Creo in my Mac-book please help me?
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150 When you save an assembly as a viewer file in Creo, subcomponents are created with an extension of .ol and the file name is "top level assembly_#number". When saving as a viewer file, the .ol file retains the original subcomponent name. Is there a way to save it or how to rename the .ol file? There is a picture of it in the attachment. Korean to English content translated by vnamboodheri on 2nd September 2022 at 10.09am IST.----------------------------------------------------------------------------Creo에서 어셈블리를 뷰어 파일로 저장 시 하위 컴포넌트들이 .ol 이라는 확장자가 생성되고, 파일 이름이 "최상위 어셈블리_#번호"로 생성이 되는데 뷰어 파일로 저장할 때 .ol 파일을 원래 하위 컴포넌트 이름을 유지하며 저장되는 방법 혹은 .ol 파일 이름을 바꿀 수 있는 방법이 있을까요? 첨부 파일에 해당 사진이 있습니다.
