Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hello All, I want to run my custom application on Cad worker once user checkin the Creo files.I am trying to achieve, once Cad worker open the model it should trigger our custom code.I tried to set notification event "PRO_MODEL_RETRIEVE_POST" but this events isn't supported for Cad worker as Per PTC.Do we have any alternative to accomplish this task?Really appreciate any suggestion and help.

I am trying to create a post file for our machines which run SIEMENS 840D controllers. our machines require two files for our 4 axis merged VTL , left head , right head, and I can't see how to make the GPOST output two separate files. instead of one file with both heads in it. we have been using ICAM as our post, but we are now trying to set up GPOST to process our codes.

I have a large assembly with a full model of a vehicle as its base. In order to save time and energy I created a skeleton model of the truck assembly with the shrinkwrap tool. I then mate my components to this skeleton to avoid having creo load and render the entire truck each time I open the assembly. Once I begin to display my section views in the drawing the skeleton models hidden edges are shown and cant seem to turn off the hidden edges of the skeleton.

 I have 16 years experience with ProE release 20 (~from 1999). In the case of dimension patterns, the reference pattern both works great.  I used dim pattern on  planes, and then a dim pattern that was reference patterned to the planes.     I am trying to follow the object toolkit guide Getting Started with Creo® Object TOOLKIT C++ (ptc.com) to get the object toolkit for creo 8, and am stuck on step 11 due to this error. Did I miss an install option or how do I get ahold of this library?

Generic is OK.Until some more geometry modifications, the 2 instances worked very well.I was able to open them from the family table, and was also able to modify the functions etc ...But now, each time I try to open one of these two instances from the family table window, Creo crashes with fatal error.Same fatal error occurs when I try to verify the family table.I tried by deleting theses instances. re-creating them, making them more "simple" to try again and trying to go step by step to see where is the problem but same fatal error occurs.I also repaired the potential geometry errors displayed in the menu "Tools -> Verify geometry

Hello. I have been having issues on adding annotations on my 3d model on a top plane. I will visibly see the dimension but once I click off of it it will disappear but still show on my detail tree. Can anyone tell me as to why it does this? Thanks.

Hi In Creo 4, how may I hide Solid welds (Creo Weld) in a drawing without hiding associated weld symbols that were created in the assembly using welding features?   Using Creo Welding I created Solid Welds in the assembly which automatically created the required weld annotation symbols for each weld.I want the solid weld to be displayed in the assembly and in the drawing I don't want the solid weld feature to be displayed but I need the weld symbol to be displayed. This will allow one to see the parts/edges that need to be welded together. It Appears that in Creo 4 you are not able to add solid weld features to a simplified rep in the assembly. When adding the solid welds to a new layer, weld symbol annotations are also assigned to the same layer at that time.   When selecting the weld feature or (weld solid) they both respond the same way.   Anyone have a solution for showing the solid weld features in the assembly and only showing the weld symbols in the drawings?

Hello, Hoping someone can offer some guidance whether the following is possible in CREO: I would like my dimension to display: 3x M4x0.7-6H Currently I am not able to remove the space between 3 and x: 3 x M4x0.7-6H If I try to delete the space the x just disappears, I am hopeful there is some use of brackets within dimension text that will permit this.  Here is my dim text currently:&P285 x Dx0.7-6H If I remove the space between &P285 and x, x simply disappears.  Thanks in advance. 

Hello, When click on symbols, balloons on drawing or weld symbol in the 3D annotation, Creo 8 is freezing and I have to "End Task" to close Creo and re-open. My colleague open the same drawing and they have no issues.  Could be a config issue on my PC?  Thank you,

Hi! We are experiencing a weird issue with routing a cable, which has the internal shielding conductor connected only on one side. The problem is that creo doesn't use the first location point of the network for routing, it want's to start at the second location point, and the orientation of the routing is backwards.Now as far as I know we could simply reroute this, and add the start and end locations to the cable manually, but that option is not available. We can select the segment we want to reroute, but after that we are unable to pick the start and end locations for the cable.We tried the whole thing in another design, just routing the network on a flat sketch, that way is was fine. As soon as we add more complex "geometry" to the network the whole thing start to act up. I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.1.0The drawing template I'm creating will not allow me to assign a model Parameter and automatically changes it to a Drawing parameter after entering the model parameter. is there something special I need to do to get this to work correctly for the Drawing template I'm creating?&PTC_WM_VERSION&PTC_WMLIFECYCLE_STATEWhen I enter these parameters into a table in the Drawing Template it automatically changes it to have ":D" at the end which I do not want. I am trying to set up the drawing template so that for any drawing created you know what version and lifecycle state for both Model and Drawing is for a specific Drawing.

Hi,I need to have two different Reps in the same sheet of a drawing.I start with the Master Rep and a certain scale of the drawing; when I change Rep and I choose other one the scale of the new one is different from the first Master Rep.I want the same scale. Is there an option or some other thing that can set the scale automatically?

Is it possible to use relations in a repeat relation to covert decimal #s to fractions? I was having issues with some ITOS formulas I found online but I developed some if statements that work well. Hi,I was wondering if the Creo parametric has a change of the phase in multiphase flow for evaporation and condensation? I see there is evaporation and condensation only in the cavitation model. For example, in the inlet boundary condition there are 3 phases water_vapor(v1)=0.4, N2(v2)=0.35 oxygen(v3)=0.25. After passing from heat exchange with heat source 200 W, what is the volume fraction of water_vapor and water_liquid?I can't see any option for change of the phase and phase interaction because of evaporation and condensation of liquid or gas.Thanks
