Hello,During CAM tests on Creo NC version 9.0, I noticed that when creating a face milling operation, there is no Check Surfaces option to add elements and avoid collisions. This function is available in some operations (Drilling, Tapping, Roud, Chamfer, ...) but not in the major functions such as face milling.Currently the generated toolpaths can cause collisions. Is it possible to generate a collision check for surfacing operations? It would be interesting to create toolpaths that take into account the environment (clamping, part, stock, machine). Thank you and best regards.
Hello, in thingworx flow, I found a way to download pvz resources. Anyway, most of the time, these files are too large and complex. Is there a way or a specific worker to reduce pvz dimensions?
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM14010 sheet drawing with BOM [repeat region of 89 parts] is a very slow process, [1.5 hour] to open all sheets and then create a PDF. when i removed the BOM and saved it, got out of session, recalled it back up [wo BOM] and it takes 1.5 minutes to open all sheets and create a PDF. With some of the obvious config.pro settings to improve time are already set ; are there any other config.settings that are for the repeat regionsHere are the errors that I facednone ; just time consuming
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM040I have a problem when creating/ editing drawings in Creo 4.0. The problem is, when in drawing mode the right mouse click suddenly just appear for a millisecond and then disappears. In order to solve this problem I need to close down and restart Creo. This problem occurs 3-4 times a day when creating/ editing drawings and is completely sporadic. This problem ONLY occurs when in drawing mode and NOT during modeling. Acc. To PTC community/ colleagues, the problem is related to the 3D Connexion space mouse software (or something related to the 3D connexion). Is there any way to get rid of/solve this problem?
Hi,I am very new to Creo customization, I was looking to get number of sheets and sheet format of current drawing. I am able to get number of sheets but unfortunately I am not able to get Sheet Format. Here is the code below Set conn = asynconn.Connect("", "", ".", 5)Set session = conn.sessionSet model = session.CurrentModelSet oSheetOwner = modelDim oSheetallNumber As LongoSheetallNumber = oSheetOwner.NumberOfSheetsDim SheetFormat As IpfcDrawingFormatSet SheetFormat = oSheetOwner.GetSheetFormat(1) "SheetFormat" does not have any value in this case.
Does anyone know how to reference original and vardim dimensions in a relation? Specifically I want to write a relation that has the inherited dimension that is in the vardim table to have the opposite sign (negative) as the original dimension. By clicking on the feature or using the find command, I can get the vardim dimension but I can't seem to reference the original dimension. Also as a side note does anyone know how to see a list of the dimensions that have been added to the vardim table and or how to delete them from the vardim table?
Hi Friends, I have created an article to install, register, & Configure Creo VB API. Take a look on this link and give your feedbackHow to Install, Register, & Configure Creo VB API Toolkit component in Creo Parametric - PARTHIBAN KANNAN

Looking through a number of fastener libraries we have access to, I'm noticing that they handle material assignment differently. No actual material assigned, just a density assigned to the genericMultiple materials assigned, but instead of adding the material to the family table they added the density. Which seems odd to me.The default load point PTC fastener lib has neither density or material assigned. So what would you do if you were designing a fastener library from scratch? Would you assign multiple materials, and then add the material to the family table so it can be selected?I suppose you could have a nested family table for a screw type, say socket head cap screw, then ask the user to pick the material next.Or you could put the material choice last after thread diameter & length and not nest the family table.Looking for suggestions and a discussion to guide my thinking on what to do with our current libraries.
Hello dear members, what are the ways in which I can hide and unhide the axis created by Extrusion? (The Axis display command controls the visibility of all axis together, I would like to control visibility for particular extrude feature). I tried to select the axis and did Hide, how can I unhide it again? Thanks.
Hello, I am having an issue where when I create an axis, it does not appear to be in the correct position and is in fact in a wild poisition. For example, I create a new sketch, select two of the coordinate planes (Front and Right for example) and then click "Axis". You would expect this axis to show up as a line intersecting the intersection points of the two planes. However, what shows up has no visible relation to the two selected planes. See "creo pic 4". Another example is when I use "revolve". I create a sketch with an axis and a shape (square in the picture) and the revolve works perfectly, but the axis of revolution is totally wrong and shifts as I pan/zoom around creo. See picture 1 and 2.The last example is when using construction lines in a sketch. The construction shapes appear in totally different places from where I place them. See picture 3. In this example, I placed the construction circle in the exact same location as the "real" circle, but it shows up in a t
I'm looking to download the free trial for Creo: Parametric and I'm not sure where to get started. Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric 9.0.0I would need to know if the IpfcModel.InstanceName is a unique identifier. In case it isn't, is there a way to uniquely identify a IpfcModel?Thank you in advance
Hello All, Has anybody had problems when using Excel Analysis and linking feature dimensions to an excel file values? It works at first but later the program creates a temporary file (a copy of the original excel file) and stops updating the values...Let mw know, Thank you,
HI!, Can you help me to understand this message and how to fix it?It's the first time I see it, Thank you
I am using Creo Parametric 4.0, Date code M060 with Dell and Nvidia hardware.Creo 4 graphics respond slowly while Creo 7 works well on the same machine. Same issue occurs on multiple computers. We have confirmed Creo 4 is using the Nvidia graphics card. I could not find recommended settings from PTC or Nvidia. Need advice regarding Creo & Nvidia settings to improve Creo 4 usability. The computers are Dell Precision 5810 with Nvidia P2200 graphics. The systems are not reporting any error messages, just acting very slow with Creo 4.
I'm trying to create holes in a part that depends on its lenght. If the part has a lenght >= than 2000mm the hole should appear with a certain distance from the middle. If it's <= than 1000mm the holes shouldn't appear. How can I do that? I tried to write it as an IF condition but the holes are appearing in both cases.

Hello.I'm designing a large assembly, and have been using IFX fasteners for auto fitting dowel pins and it's been working great. But then I use IFX to place some socket head cap screws, and it loads them just fine, but after installing them, it won't let me save the file. It says "error writing file, check disk space or permissions". If I try to do a save as, there is a yellow triangle with exclamation point next to the cap screw model and says "object is modified and will be saved" if i hover over it. Next to the fixture plate model (first model in the assembly tree) it has the red "X" and says "references renamed model "fiture_plate.asm". I have no issues regenerating or saving before adding the fastener. Any ideas?
Hey, I am developing a C++ Toolkit plugin, but I don`t not want to load creotk.dat manually in config.pro or even in Aux Applications. Is their any way to alternative method to do that.
Hello Developers,Need your input on developing and sharing the installers to end users for the development done using JLink. Also I want to keep the installer specific to Creo Version.Right now I have done with the development of Creo Automation using JLink. Looking for the way to share a simple installation file rather a traditional protk.dat approach.Waiting for your inputsThanks in advance
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0PDF not updated by custom checkin when selecting 'Models and Viewables', even though I get the message "PDF file has been created". This only happens for some drawing files, others are OK. We have no recipe file for the CreoView adaptor, system or local client.
Hello, I am struggling with giving a thicken a surface in just one direction, that's the X one, and then I need to do the same for every surface I have created with a pattern. But I have realized within the Thicken tool in Options there's Controlled fit and you can choose the direction - but I did some trials and it didn't work (it creates the thickness only normal to surface) It's not too evident, but every surface is flat and focused - so the mid one is straight and the others have an inclination (the more you go to outwards the more the angle is higher).Probably I am unaware of how thicken works - anyway there is also a picture with an inclined surface to show how I apply Thicken to have the extrusion just in one direction. Do you have any suggestion ? Thanks a lot !Nicola
