Hello everybody,Is it possible to export a multi-sheet .drw file into a single dwg file using the Distributed Batch? Now, selecting the dwg_2d_export export .ttd file, a file is created for each sheet. Matteo.
Hi all,I have been asked to get data on license usage, specifically looking for what user's request at launch and comparing it to the license they get.We want to know if the majority of users are selecting the Essentials license and getting the Advanced license only because our pool of Essentials has ran out, or if they actually selected the Advnaced license. Now, I have made a custom launcher, so I can see what users pick, but I am struggling for a way to see what license they received ultimately. Does anyone have any solution?Cheers!
Hello. It is possible to find a reference in the component of a main assembly? Using SEARCH_MDL_REF I'll try to find a CSYS in the skeleton part of a assembly. I know about SEARCH_MDL_REF ASSEMBLY.... But how to search in sub-components of this assembly?
Hi. I'm new to animation. I can successfully take snapshots of different part assemblies to create an animation, but how do I incorporate the whole assembly rotating as part of the animation (so the view start from viewing from the front, and rotates to end up viewing from the back)? I rotated the whole assembly when I took my snapshots, but seems when you create the animation, the specific viewpoints are not remembered in the snapshots. Hope this makes sense and you can help. Thanks!
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0.4.0Hello,The measure tool is not giving the shortest distance between and edge and surface. Has anyone figured out why this happens? It seems to use the edge of the surface instead of the surface geometry.
I have a main assembly and within that assembly, there is a motor assembly. The motor assembly is an assembly with 5 different motors, controlled by a family table. Is it possible in the main assembly, to control the family table with parameters?I want to choose a motorassembly with an parameter or relation. Right now i choose the right motor with ''replace selected component or UDF'', but i think it can be changed in a smarter way than that. Hope you guys can help me out! 😄
Is this possible in Creo 7 without moving the detail view back to the sheet where the parent view is to redefine the spline or the reference point? By now you would think that PTC would have figured out that this can all be done on the detail view itself without having move it to a different sheet. When working on a large drawing like I am now it is very inconvenient. Does anybody have any work around techniques I may not know about? Cheers, Airfix
Hey guys,I'm trying to design a cylindrical part with 2 normal ribs on it. But first I like to have a curve on the outside of this cylindrical part. What I've done is: I've created 5 points on the cylindrical part. These points are used to lead the curve through and then I've created a curve. The problem is that this curve isn't staying on the outside surface of the cylinder...Does anybody know how to solve this?Next I want to create 2 ribs on the part. These ribs need to stay parallel with the centerline of the part.I like to do this with a sweep, but the problem is that I'm struggeling with the settings of this sweep.Anyone who knows how to solve this?
Hi, We're using Creo 3.0 M190 in our environment, which is deployed through SCCM. It gets installed fine. Detection method used is to check 2 properties (Release and Shipcode) in registry key SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PTC\PTC Creo Parametric\3.0\2018360. Is this the right way to check existence of Creo 3.0 M190 in a computer or is there any better way? Thanks,
Hi,I've create a restricted parameters table of fastners and it's working nice as expected. The only issue I'm having is, that I want the restricted parameters table to follow the part without having the file read each time Creo is started. I know it works with a restricted parameters file (not restricted parameters table) when you save the part. With the restricted parameters table, when saved off, it keeps the parameter name with only the last selected option from the drop-down list.Is there a way to accomplish this? Thanks
Hi, What's the proper way to use the windows system token(variable) for user id in a mapkey?I would like to replace johndoe with windows %username% token. I have tried $USER and $USERNAME with no success.Could someone point me to the correct syntax for using a system variable in a mapkey? mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `c:`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `c:`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `Users`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `Users`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `johndoe`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `johndoe`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Select `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `mydocs_pb`;\mapkey(continued) ~ Activate `file_saveas` `ph_list.Filelist` 1 `mydocs_pb`;\ Thanks for any help you can provide, Don A
Hi guys, when I want to Export a STEP file of ONLY what is shown on my screen, I always get some assemblies that show up that should not. Like the layers get messed up. See pics below. How can I fix this so ONLY what is currently shown on my screen is exported out to STEP? Thanks for the help. Jay
See the screenshot above, the datums and annotations always show up when I open a CREO session. Is there a simple setup to avoid this? Thanks.
I have a problem to visualization some surfaces. When opening an assy or only the part some faces are not showed correctly. The problem is not in all parts and assy that I have. In other files with similar assy them are showed ok. faces like trasnparency. see faces selected with problem If I make a section view, I see the solid not surfaces. Well, I hope any help.Regards.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0What version of IDX does Creo Parametric 8.0 support?Where could i have found Creo version-specific answers myself?Does PTC maintain an ECAD-MCAD product development roadmap?
Hi, I'm desperate,I'm trying to reorder feature in tree after last feature. Both features are completely independent. My code:Feature sketch = ...Feature last = ...ReorderAfterOperation op = sketch.CreateReorderAfterOp(last);FeatureOperations ops = FeatureOperations.create();ops.append(op);model.ExecuteFeatureOps(ops, null); --> throws XToolkitBadContext exceptionAny ideas ?Thanks.
In the above screenshot, there is a Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) and an Adapter installed at the end of tube (pointing downward). When I applied two Weight links (as shown in the 1sigma stress plot at the right side), the max stress is 100+ times higher than the one shown in the plot at the left side, in which only one weight link is applied. What is the problem to two links? Do I have to combine the two masses into one mass point in order to simulate both mass contribution from Adapter and PRV? Thanks. Also, is there a good reading about "weighted link" (and "rigid link")?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.1.0No option to add automatic note for (Standard) Cosmetic Thread. The wizard is very similar to the definition of holes(including ISO, UNF, UNC standards), while in holes a note is created automaticaly, for threads it is not created. What is the point of setting the standard if no automatic note is created? To write a manual note in the drawing, I do not need this feature.
Hello,in Creo 2 M250 I was using ModelCHECK Interactive with real satisfaction. Now after switching to Creo 8.0.0.0 or 8.0.0.2, ModelCHECK Interactive has become at least 15 times slower.I did the test on a very simple prt and using the same settings. While bypassing my personal configuration and using the default ModelCHECK configuration, the operation is still very slow ...Can someone help me?Thank you.
How to automatically create gap between witness line and part line as shown in the below picture.
I have this problem: a cad model, a panel developed in sheet metal, with an opening in the center (a rectangular cut) with A and B dimensions. The model is parametric and is updated with a whole series of relations inserted. Obviously, this model is linked to a DRW for the creation of the DXF file for processing on the machines. It is possible and how, from a listing from excel file or notepad file with the various dimensions of A and B, to launch a mapkey or a bach file that automatically makes the DXFs of the various panels "n" times as many as there are variants in the listing?
In solidworks dimension are aligned correctly but @creo making some miss alignmentbelow attached screen shot from solid works this is creo
What is the reference dimension I am missing for a counter sunk hole? From the picture it looks like the surface, but I tried that.
