Hi, I have a PC with GeForce RTX3060 and I use Creo 4.0.I borrowed a 30-day trial license of Simulation Live, but it is too slow on my computerIf I clik the simulation tab, it takes about 10mins to turn on and the simulation process also takes about 10mins.Both of them should be done within a minute. I asked the sales person about it but he just keeps saying "Simulation Live is not compatible with your graphic card".I looked up the requirements of Simulation Live and found that it only supports up to Pascal architecture(GeForce GTX),but RTX is Ampere architecture. I wonder if anyone has the same issue but has solved the problem.
I have saved an assembly in multiple views as annotation sets. For each annotation set, certain parts are in a different position. Viewing the annotation sets one after the other produces a kind of stop motion effect that shows a disassembly of the parts. How can I create an animation from these six or so annotation sets? I can't seem to figure that out from the rather brief instructions in the support center. Namely, every time I click on the next annotation set in animation mode in order to record that next annotation set, the animation mode instead gets terminated? Edit:Now I seem even to have damaged the transitions between some of my annotation sets, by trying to make sense of the commands in the animation ribbon! With these transitions, the parts don't move smoothly anymore when changing between annotation sets, but instead jump sharply. HELP
Creo 2.0 how do you export an assembly BOM into Excel?
Hello All,I am trying to develop a feel for the behaviour of Creo3.0's finite friction. So starting with a simple model Text book concludes no sliding.Reality tells us that the pressure distribution is not like the text book Amongst other things, the load pulling the green block acts a distance above the surface and not in the surface. It's this estimate of reality we want.We know that the blocks are elastic (even though they are steel) and therefore one should expect a high (theoretically enormous) stress around the perimeter of the green block ... and maybe in part where problems begin. The values chosen should ensure no sliding.I used brick elements (tets give poor pressure plots and bricks provide a more 'stable' solution)The problem is very 'sensitive' to the initial time step.It will not solve using the default 0-1 ramp function with much oscillation of the residual norm, contact area reducing to zero followed by bisection after bisection then failing. The load fa
Hello,I am here trying to create a offset section feature in model using ProXSceOffsetCreate() but getting error. I need it for crossSection view in drawing. Please help if any one have solution of it.
I am using Creo Parametric 6.0 version 6.0.6.02 Of our users are having issues with Creo Simulate within Creo Parametric. When they want to start simulate, they get the message (on the bottom left) that 'Creo Simulate is not installed'We have tried several things like:- Reinstalling the computer- Deleting windows profile for the user- New hardware- Checked the licenseEvery time, after deleting/new windows profile, the issue is gone but returns after a few days/weeks.Whenever I do 'Run as different user' on Creo, simulate works again. We have over 20 users that have no issues, and they have the exact same installation.I'm kind of out of things to try at this point. Do you have any suggestions that we could try? Here are the errors that I faced:Creo Simulate is not installed

Dear PTC-Community,I am trying to use a curve for creating airfoils. My geometry requires a smooth curve. My control points have to refer to points, which I referenced by parameters. So, I want to change the spline geometry with points, which are referenced by parameters. For a smooth curve, I try to use G3-curves. However, with using splines I get kinks in the curve since splines do not have the G3 continuity feature. If I try the Style Tool, I can use ISDC degree 5 curves, but I cannot reference my points. Only the start and end point are snapped by holding the shift key, but not the other points in between them.Is there a feature to model the spline as a G3-curves or to reference the control points of a style curve?Greetings

In Schematics our team usually ends up fighting with Creo Schematics to re-serialize all of the wires. Our preferred name format for each conductor is as follows: most conductors: <proj_id>-###<cond_id><wire_gauge>negative/return conductors: <proj_id>-###<cond_id><wire_gauge>N <proj_id> is a parameter that is a short string literal that is for the name of the particular project.### is of course the serial number for the wire<cond_id> is a helpful sub serialization of wires that is usually letter numbering (A, B, C, ... Z)<wire_gauge> is the gauge of the particular wire used'N' character is appended to any conductor that serve as power returns. (negative, neutral, ground...) examples: FOOP-043A22, FOOP-044A22N, FOOP-045A22, FOOP-043B22 The problem with this approach is that a change in the <wire_gauge> or addition of the 'N' makes the <name> parameter unique causing the au
Hello Friends, I have Dll and registry file creo.bat file , to run the utility I have to load the DLL every time , Is there a way to load Dll in every session of creo without using auxiliary application. Regards,Kunal
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) 4.0 M080We are unable to print a view of a drawing enlarged to A1 paper for inspection. What settings need to be done to achieve this ?Here are the errors that I faced We do not get the wanted section in the print preview window.
Hi, I need to write a plus-minus tolrence into a table, how do you do that? it needs to state: 9.45 (upper) -0.2093 (lower) -0.3153 I guess you can write in the text editor but I cant figure out what to write Thanks
New Creo 5.0.4 user I have a hole pattern and created some access cuts on a sheet metal part (see picture below). I rounded/filleted the edges (highlighted in green). The cut feature patterned easy enough following the hole pattern, but I cannot pattern the rounds (greyed out). Outside of adding the fillets to the cutout sketch, is there a way to pattern this? Selecting all of the patterned edges for the round feature seems tedious, and I would guess there would be issues if the hole quantity changed. Thanks,Greg
Hi all, As per the original post thanks for this information. Where do I find the configuration options with these two lines? Also, I rather have the opposite problem: for me the animations are too fast, or, for some annotation sets in my PVZ file, the animations have completely disappeared, while for other annotation sets, the animated transitions are still present and working. What could be the reason for this?
Is there a CREO command to align balloons and distribute them evenly? The balloons shown in the image need to be distribute vertically and evenly. Thanks.
In an assembly, how do you create a pattern of three (3) parts at once, for exaplme; a bolt, nut and washer, can all three be selected and a pattern of all of them be selected and a pattern created, or is there a copy command that will work better, please give step by step solutions, for us beginners.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 7.0 (connected) 7.0 7.0.5.0I am switching from Creo 4.0 to Creo 7.0, will the majority of my 4.0 configuration options function in 7.0?Or do you recommend starting a new config.pro?
Is it possible to add a config option to the prodetail.dtl file that will allow me to specify a different font size for tables compared to the default font size for dimensions? We use a revision table to track changes and I want that font size to be smaller than the font size of our dimensions.
Hi Guys, Is it possible to add a string to my drawings so when someone opens it, and prints it, it shows who printed it (computer name)? I've tried messing with plot_label yes, but I really would like to ability to place this info where I want it on the drawings. Plus it doesn't work all that great. Is there anything within Creo that I can add to my drawings to change to whom ever opens the drawing, and then prints it? We sometimes have extra drawings floating around our shop, and we are trying to track down who is printing these. lol. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,Jay
I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.0.0Hello, is it possible to install both Creo7 *and* Creo4 on same machine?
Having read: https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Creo-4-mapkeys/m-p/560196 https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/Mapkey-Writing-Editing-Tips/td-p/443729 I have a question about the numerical sequence in the part of the mapkey shown below. Is this using the Tom showed to type in a word? mapkey(continued) ~ Key `main_dlg_cur` `proe_win` 9 930 614 5898362 1536 1421 848 1920 1080 \mapkey(continued) 1443299 `Z`;%zzss;
Hello Community, I would like to restore the location of a part, or all parts, as saved in one Annotation Set (using the Capture Location command) into another annotation set (using the Restore location command when the other Annotation Set is active). However, this does not seem to work. Is it really the case that saved positions are deleted as soon as you switch to another Annotation Set?
HiAny best practices for checking for pooling. We are lookign to see if there are any low spots/dips etc that would cause a liquid tp pool if it was poured in thereWe have Creo 7 with no additional analysis extensionsThanksTom
Hi all;We are using creo parametric as our CAD program and recently we started to use 3dexperience as our PLM system to manage our data and process. In our PLM system we have implemented a process which only allows to create drawing from 3d when the 3d file is in released state and can not be modified or saved therefore. Our problem is that creo needs to save a new 3d file when a dimension is added to drawing and it is inconsistent with process which we defined. I have experience with other cad tools like catia, and no need to save 3d file when creating drawing! Is this working within scope of original design specification of Creo? Why creo needs to save 3d file again? My question is that is there any config in creo to solve this issue? Please share your experience in this regard. I really appreciate your help.Sincerely.
