Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric 7.0 7.0.0.0I'm using the Creo Parametric TOOLKIT to create Creo Simulate Geometry. My model has 2 overlapping parts that I want to get the non-manifold representation for. However in one area of the model, the geometry from the overlapping faces is not imprinted onto each face. Instead the imprint geometry is represented as individual ProMechEdges that are associated with the correct ProMechSurface but not used by any ProMechContour on that surface. Other areas of my model produce the correct non-manifold representation. What causes the ProMechModel to create wires edges instead of imprinting the edges into the face?Thank you.

Hello All, I have been working with Creo since Pro/Engineer 2001.  Currently we are still running Creo 3.0 but have purchased a new Sodick Wire EDM.  Realizing it was time for a  CAM package, I decided to stick with PTC and add Production Machining Seat.  I am running into some very basic issues being that there is very little documentation or tutorials available on this subject.  The workflow is so far, incomprehensible to me.  I have no clue how to get started, what is necessary to configure and what is not.  There also seem to be only 3 options for machines in the post processor.  I have never written a post and have no clue what is involved.  I have not been successful in finding anyone that offers training in the manufacturing extension.  I would greatly appreciate if anyone can help me get started specifically with Wire EDM functions.  Thanks in advance, Chris.

I have a fairing model for a mini car I'm trying to make a mould of (something along the lines of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MAinuf5I_dw; I need sections of "inside" the fairing as the one in 00:00:15), and the thing is I only have it on stl format. To make matters worse, the mesh seems to have some... problems, as in intersecting itself in sharp turns.I've already tried shrinkwrap, but even at "10" in level of detail it isn't good enough for the mould purpose. What I need the fairing as a solid for is so that I can extrude an object until it hits the fairing's inside face. What I would like to know is: is there a way of getting better results than "10" in shrinkwrap? Or maybe there's a way of extruding up until the fairing without it being a solid part. We turned ModelCheck on back in July. Since then a couple of the designers have reported that when the reopen an assembly the next day or later, the changes they saved have not been saved. I turned it off for the past 10 days and one user reported no issues with ModelCheck turned off. We are not preventing check-in to WIndchill for errors, everything that would be an error is right now only being flagged as a warning. We do know that ModelCheck slows down the check-in process. I had to block 4 files from running ModelCheck as it was taking over an hour to process the drawing on check-in. I have cautioned the users to watch the rolling arrows at the bottom of the screen and not close their part or Creo while the arrows are rolling.  Is there anything else to set or check in ModelCheck, Creo or Windchill that will prevent lost work? We are on WIndchill 11.0 M030 CPS16 with Creo 4 M080. I can move to M150 if that might help. I am working on a total upgrade to Windchill 11.1 M020 and

Creo 4 Drawing - Is there a way to add a datum and plane to a clipped dimension shown on a detailed view without using a draft entity line to show the plane?   The first picture is what I have.  The second picture is kind of what I want except the white line is a draft entity just related to the view.  Is there a better way to do this to indicate the 2.155 dimension origin is datum E?   Follow up question.  My datum E in this view was created via the datum feature symbol, notice the red line below my datum E.  This indicates that it is a duplicate tag, which obviously it is because the original datum E is shown on the main view.  Do I just accept the error (red underline) and move on, or is there a way to avoid this error?   Cheers Airfix

Hello Everyone,   I am facing an issue with the CREO parametric startup. I installed CREO in C: drive. And by default, the parametric.exe is located in the BIN folder. But firstly I do have write access in this location. And I do not understand why CREO is having this issue.    Other than that if I try changing it to another location where I have "write access", It does not accept any location in C: .   If I choose another location (let's say the same location as my working directory), it throws an error with AFX and IFX failed to load. And closes creo. I understand it should not work in theory because my working directory doesn't have parametric.psf file.     I have a student licence. I was using creo before this and recently I faced this issue. How can I start using creo again and resolve this issue? Can anyone please help me with this?   Regards Ayush  

Any recommendations on what NC sequence to use to program this would be appreciated.  Helical sweep with .100" pitch that is mirrored.  We are using this as a locking feature for a gluing operation.  Is there an NC sequences in Turning similar to "trajectory" in milling?  If a groove is formed at one or both ends that is fine.

Something is strange with this part. The sketch of the extrude has only one reference, a plane, that was used with a middle constraint to a line. It doesn't make any sense. That constraint is supposed to be between a point and a curve. Does anybody understand how it is possible that the sketch to be fully constrained? The part was made with Creo 6.
