Hi guys. We have some old mapkeys, and I am trying to update/ optimize them. I've made a ton of map keys with no problems, but for some reason I cannot get this to work. I want to make a map key that creates a datum point, then open up a UDF. The map key runs the datum point, but does not open the UDF. Does it need a pause somewhere? If i make 2 seperate mapkeys, each one will work indipendantly, but i want them in one mapkey. I know I can have a mapkey call up mulitple mapkeys, but i'd like to get this to work without making a bunch of individual mapkeys. (I have a TON of older mapkeys that i want to update that are all pretty similar to this one. ) mapkey test @MAPKEY_NAMEcreates point /runs udf 2 plns;\mapkey(continued) @MAPKEY_LABELcreates point /runs udf 2 plns;\mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdDatumPointGeneral` ;@PAUSE_FOR_SCREEN_PICK;\mapkey(continued) ~ Trigger `Odui_Dlg_00` `t1.OffsetRefsTable` 2 `DuMmY` `c1`;\mapkey(cont
there appears to be something wrong in my Gpost Config. The NCL clearly shows the first feed rate, but the posted ngc is missing it. seems likely to be a problem in gpost. Mine is a simple 3-axis FANUC post modified to work with LinuxCNC which is the controller for my little mill. Where would you look for this problem? Hi everyone, I drew a sktech in part and created a family table to define dimensions for instances. Sketch geometry have been created differently in some instances. Do you know why? Can we define boundaries for geometries to keep them inside? I have attached images.
I've searched for a solution for this but found none so I thought I would ask this question again. In a drawing view that uses a 2D section, the cross hatching for parts disappears when z-clipping is turned on. Does anybody know why and is there a work around? Thanks, Steve
I want to add a datum B to the .813 diameter dimension to start my hole sequence. How can I add this datum?I was able to add datum A to the surface shown below without any issues.
Hi, We have recently rolled out Creo 7.0 but have found an issue where students cannot seem to access the bom_description_down.tbl file so they dont get to create a bill of materials. (Please excuse my ignorance of terminology, im just the school network manager, i dont know much on how to use CAD). Thinking it might be a permission issue i tried every combination of secuirty settings i could think of and even made a test student local admin of the machine but still he could not access this file. Is this something anyone has ever seen before? Screenshot shows the teachers account who can see the file. Thanks
Hello all, My work recently upgraded to CREO Parametric 7.0, and I am also completely new to CREO and the job. I have been trying to create a 3D pdf for an assembly. The created pdf file is massive, close to 23 MB. I open the file with Adobe and my work computer cannot seem to handle it. I found an old solution that suggesting decreasing the Shade Quality, which I did, but the file only got reduced to about 21 MB. The pdf is still unusable. All I really need is to create a 3D pdf file that shows a 360 view of the assembly. A file that can be viewed without the need of a fancy super-computer. Is there any way to fix this issue? To reduce the file? Am I doing something wrong? I got to SaveAs, and select PDF U3D. I have played with the little amount of export settings that are available, but nothing. Thanks in advance
please look at image B image is unhide when i changed config.pro(basic), graphics looks good which option of config.pro modify?
I want part numbers for two contacting surfaces of any weld in table format.Means if we use x1 surface of part1 and x2 of part2 for weld than i want that data in table format with the weld parts numbers
How to relive 1mm with 45 degree arc as shown in photo..?
Hi Guys, I've been playing around with the flexible modeling, as I have never really used this before. (im in Creo7.0.2.0) The one thing that peaks my interest is the pattern recognition. Lets say i have a very large plate that has hundreds of holes in it, that were done with a solidify. (so no axis exist yet in the holes.) I can get the pattern recognition to see all the holes and make a pattern in my model tree. But how do i utilize this newly created pattern recognition? I want to use newly created pattern to make hundreds of axis lines through all the holes it just found. But i only get 2 when i try and create an axis line in a hole, and then pattern that. What am i doing wrong? Thanks, Jay
Please help! When I apply a shrinkage of 1.3% my model seems to go really small then sends all my volumes into error (please see the attached photo) I have tried to re do this a few times from scratch and it happens every time. Can anyone see where I am going wrong?

Having issues updating CREO. Current version is 5.0.4.0. Attached is the error I am receiving: My UID and PW are valid. Any help appreciated.
I have the student edition of Creo 7 and the sketch dimensions are not visible. Is there a way to toggle them on?
Hello, I need help again. I want to make a layer which is ruled based for all sketches. I tried to do it, but nothing is happing. As you can see I have some sketches but they don't get into that layer. Can someone help me with that?
I have a multiple impression platter that has members that need to be rotated in a couple different directions with different linear placements. I would like to place the individual components to individual csys by using a pattern but I don't see the option. I tried this using merge components but this doesn't work as I need to family table the original component and I have relations (with differing sizes) built into that geometry. I really thought that it should be possible to pattern the needed quilt geometry from one CSYS to multiple CSYS locations within the model. Am I missing something?
Hi, I wanted to ask that how do I fuse this rod to my main body ? Should I use the welding option?
Anybody have this error with Creo 4? And if yes how you manage it, I don't want to start with an older version of my model.
Hello, So I noticed that when I create an offset datum plane its being hidden automatically. So I tried to put it in layer, which is visible, planes are visible but no results. Also I searched for some kind of option, but I could not find it. Is it possible to change, so it can be visible? I am using Creo 6.
Hi, I'm using Creo Parametric 3.0 in which Copy Geometry, Shrinkwrap and Copy From features are blocked (grayed out). I'd like to copy geometry (complicated hole) from one part in order to use it (make shaft based on that hole's geometry) in another part. The only way I can imagine is to make copy in basic model and move it to the other part. The problem is that I don't know how to do it. Could you please tell me if it's possible in Creo 3.0 and if so - how can I achieve this? Thank you in advance for all answers!
We want to know a way to map cross section edges which are created internally by Creo with the original model edges so that we can co-relate attachment information of dimensions attached to such internal edges in Creo through Toolkit. in other words, dimensions in drawing is attached to internal edges of cross section. So, we are not able to identify which feature's dimension it is.... Is there a way to map cross section edges and feature edges? There is no direct API for this, but we need to have this mapping. Just wanted to know is there any mapping by some work around is possible on this?
I have a BOM table exploded the all sub-components. I can reach all component's name and parameters. However I couldn't reach top level information. Is there any way to add name or its parameter of top level assembly? Please see the attached picture for the sample. Thanks in advance!
