Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Hi,   I am adding a weight column in EMX BOM, it is not getting the weight values even I refresh (Recalculate option) it.   Please find the attached screenshot.

When we open an assembly with annotations that was created as Creo View file we always see all annotations fromall combined states when we open it.Is there a way to turn off that behavior so that if we open it in Creo View the annotations only show up, if one of the combinedstates will be selected where the annotation was created and not in the "start configuration"

Probably wrong area to post, feel free to relocate it.   At the 2020 Winter Event it was stated there would be unlimited training access for 1K$ per year. And by course option at a rate of 100$ per hour where most courses are expected to be 3 hours. The courses are to be WebEx based with live instructors.   Second item being considered was two certifications, first being Fundamentals, basic commands. The second being Professional, certified in advanced commands and possibly badges in add-ons like sheetmetal. The certs would be for two years and maintained by PTC outside of this community.   Anyone have dates or better info on these two topics.

Hi.  When I'm rendering a model, Creo doesn't seem to be using the GPU at all - only the processor.GPU is an Nvidia Quadro RTX4000 with the latest drivers.   Any ideas?   Thanks

Hello to all in Creo 2.0 I used to select a part or an assembly in my graphic window, and automatically the selected item part number was displayed in the message log i was abble also to select a part and with the select 'parent feature' to select any level above (+1) and the number of this selected sub assembly was always in the message log window easy then to copy/past (ctrl+c  ctrl+v )this number and to made search in Windchill or to put this part number in a excel  etc since Creo 4.0 I can only see the part number of the select item if I use the select parent , the tree is highlighted, yes but the assembly  number doesn't come in the log windows do you have a solution for me please?   thanks   Veronique

How do you update cross hatching from model on an existing view in a drawing besides removing cross section from view and redoing it?  It seems that if I modify the cross hatching on the model it should update in the drawing view.

Dear PTC users,maybe you have an idea how to solve my problem. I am going to develop a synchronous J-Link application in Creo Parametric (but version does not play a role in this case). I just want to compile my project, check if it works, i case of ocurring malfuctions recompile it, checking again, recompiling and so on. but i always have to restart Creo because the new compiled classes are not recognized while running Creo. I also tried to stop and/or unregister my plugin in aux application and restart/reregister it. i also tried to rename my plugin in creotk.dat.Does anyone know a technique to avoid this?In last time i always developed asynchronous apps. there you dont have this problem beacuse you can connect and disconnect to/from session each time.

Hello,    I'm trying to create a method that can group any number of UDFGroups in a part. What i have below can find the correct UDFGroups, but once the .Append(feature) is run it returns an error. Hello,   i'm trying to export the model on the left as an stl. However, parts of the model are disappearing. What would cause such behaviour? Kind regards

This "Keyboard Shortcut Conflict" pop-up in Creo 4 makes me want to throw things.  I checked and I wasn't able to find any way to get rid of this stupid $#&*^.  Any ideas?

I know how to put variable text in a symbol. That is not exactly what I’m looking for. So far, I have not been able to figure out how to drive those variable text fields with an attribute. Is that possible in Creo5?

I'm using Creo parametric 4.0 M100. For the past 2 weeks, the creo keeps going into 'not responding' state constantly and then it shows 'Regained Floating license. you can resume working'. This cycle is repeated for every 2 minutes. Its impossible to work like this.    What's causing this & how we can fix this.

Hi All,  I am working on Creo 5.0.1.0 . I have observed that the API  pfcSelection:: SetPoint()  is giving wrong results, Can anyone explain this behavior??

Does Creo Schematic (or any plugin product to it) create color coded plugs automatically like Solidworks? What I mean is the wire coming in shows on the view of the plug.   Here is an example: I have a client that is considering switching to Creo Schematic which would help me out a lot.... But this is the one feature I can't seem to replicate in Creo.

I've used one of my fave features, the Spinal Bend, many times over the years.  I prefer using them on quilts because then it's easier to have multiple Spinal Bends in a model.  THIS time I ran into a VERY weird problem.  The spinal bend failed on the surface, but yet worked fine with the solid.  What the????? Any ideas? PTC guys, what do you think?

Hello, I have been demoing the otk java examples and decided to create my own project.My custom action listener class is working fine within the otkexamples project.Now that I created my own project, I am having issues in my main class. I practically copied and pasted the structure of otkExamplesmain.java but removed all the example methods. The exception is throwing when trying to get the current session on launch when setting up the ribbon commands. Hello,   Does anyone have a copy of PTC License Server Release Wildfire 3.0 Datecode M120 they can share?  That was the PTC licensing software used on my old laptop to share my Creo 2.0 license with my workstation.  I am upgrading from Creo 2.0 to Creo 3.0 M040 and need to move my license server to a new Laptop, but I don't have the installation file for PTC License Server Release Wildfire 3.0 Datecode M120.  I believe that is the most stable license server for single seat licenses.   -Paul

Hello,  I am currently using Creo 5.0.4.0 Users at my company have been through many Creo related changes in the last year or so. These changes include version upgrades and configurations Prior to these changes I was able to import IGES data and select flat surfaces on the data for sketching, extruding etc. I can no longer do this. Can anyone explain why?   Thank You

Hai, in EMX, during ejector pin placement, relief holes will cut only in one insert, this is causing issues when split inserts are available which is sharing same ejector pin holes. one of the example is Blade ejector pins. Please let me know is there any way to cut the ejector pin holes in all sharing inserts with out manual updation.

Hi,   I am creating a note using ProDtlnoteCreate(). But before that i want to center align the text. With the help of ProDtlattachAlloc() and ProDtlnotedataAttachmentSet() I am able to keep the note on required position.  status = ProTextStyleJustificationSet(text_style, PRO_TEXT_HRZJUST_CENTER); status = ProTextStyleVertJustificationSet(text_style, PRO_VERTJUST_MIDDLE); - tried these for alignment but couldn't make out the result.   Let me know if there is any othet api/methods to center align the notes.   Thanks and regards, Sekar

Hi, I have been creating sweeps of a small rectangular sketch attached to a spiral trajectory. I am trying to create a bimetallic coil, like the one in the photo below. I wish to model it in Ansys. However, to do this there needs to be two different materials (i.e. red and blue in the below photo are separate materials, and therefore separate objects).My problem is that I have created the two spiral sweeps, and I'm having difficulty creating an assembly of the two joined together. They tend to overlap at the very center, and are constantly at 'partially constrained' status.If anyone could help I would be very very grateful. The only constraints are that the entire assembly must fit into an envelope size of 50mm x 20mm x 15mm, so i left my outer spiral sweep with an outer diameter of 20mm. And that each material must be no less than 0.5mm thick. Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone else isexperiencing this in their environements.We have several userswho havecreo_parametric_customization.ui files that spontaneously grow very large, in the 10 Mb to 20 Mbrange. This file is usually 50k to 200k. When this file gets large Creo reacts very strange, Creo runs very slow, Creo will not open drawing files, Creo takes a long time to exit when shutting it down, etc. This does not seem to be happening on every machine but is becoming more prevelent as time goes on.PTC has not been very helpful in solving this, we found the root cause to be the creo_parametric_customization.ui file, but I now think the growth of this filemight be related to the J Link applications that I have running. We have several applications that load ribbon definitions using pfcSession.Session.RibbonDefinitionfileLoadI am not sure if this istheroot cause but I need to solve thisissue and wanted to know if anyone else is experienceing this same problem and if they believe it is r
