It appears I misposted this in the parametric forum...I hope this is the correct forum now. Cocreate ME10 is Cocreate Drafting, no? I do systems support for users who use Cocreate and I occasionally have to help them when ME10 reports a 'segmentation fault' when opening a file. The error is pretty much always due to a value having been written out which cannot be read back in by ME10, "-1#CNAM" is a common one but I've also seen decimals being written out with comma separation rather than dot separation. We are in spain, so the local decimal separator is comma rather than dot (i.e 1,2 rather than 1.2) but that particular error only occurs occasionally. I'd like to know if there is a either- a command line tool for validating ME10 files, which I could use to bulk identify files which have errors.- or a tool which identifies the line number of the block which is causing a problem instead of the useless 'segmentation fault' which is displayed to the user. We have thous

Hello,We have large harness with about 250 wires. We designed it with using logical data from Creo Schematics.And we have problem with four wires. They are don't shown in model tree and simultaniously don't shown as unrouted. Some segments of them appear in graphics window, I try to remove them but it doesn't work.I attached screenshot from Compare List - these wires have mismathcing but I don't know why.

I'm trying to set a default text linespace in Annotation (19.0) but it doesn't work the way I try to configure the value. I use the following textstyle configuration. I can change Font and Color but the Linespace does not change.   (oli:sd-set-setting-values :application "Annotation" :style-path "Annotation/General/TextStyle" :style :STANDARD :title "Standard" :values '("Font" "arial" "Color" 16776960 "Linespace" 1.3 ) )  Should this be working this way or should linespacing be set somewhere else?

When i select the infinite horizontal construction line from the ribbon, the construction line automatically snaps on the part edges as you can see in the 1st pic bellow. But when i add a shortcut for the construction lines, and select the same command, the line doesn't snaps anymore (2nd pic bellow). I don't know if someone can help me, I'm new at this software .     Thanks.  

Im modeling some chunks to export in .stp to mastercam. Can i set the origin  in creo elements/direct, so when i export my chunk to mastercam i allready have my "zero point" where i want?   Thanks 

I need to pattern an identity plate. This plate has a number on itself. It is very difficult to write geometry text, orientate and extrude one by one. Is there an easy way to change text inside the geometry?

 Hello! We have a very large quantity of .mi files that have been created with Direct Modeling over the last years which contain tables with information about the drawn part. We would like to read this information to e.g. find all parts that share certain entries to find similar parts. One idea was to parse the .mi file which contains all text in the file, but we don't know where this text is positioned on the drawing, so we can't interpret all these text-fields again as table where the relative position of the strings is crucial.Is there a parser for mi-files that we could use? We found python-implementations for dxf or dwg, but so far nothing for .mi. It does not have to be python, any implementation would be great. If such a thing does not exist, is there a format-description so that we could implement it ourself?

Hej everyone! I am running Creo 7 and have tried several times to apply the latest updates. I have administrator rights on my computer.  When I start the setup file I get no error message, nothing. But the file starts somehow and then nothing happens. How do I fix this? Greets from Sweden!Björn  

I met a problem that the part is broken when exchanging 3D data between Creo and Direct Modeling. So how can I exchange the 3D data smoothly between Creo and Direct modeling? Thanks a lot.    

Creo 7 is instantly returning a "Windchill Authentication Failed" error when trying to establish a new server connection. I have cleared all of the cached password information set the browser type to "chromium_based". I am able to connect from Creo 3 and a web browser. I am using a freshly updated license of Engineer III.

I'm trying to upgrade Creo Elements/Direct Modelling Express 6.0 to 8.0. When I run the Installation file it stops mid way with the following error "Internal Error 2754. soliddesigner.exe" Has anyone else experienced this and know how to resolve?    

Our company uses a lot of structural shapes in our designs (wide flange beams, channels, angles, etc..). We have start parts for things like plates, round tubes, etc.. and would like to have start parts of the other structural shapes as well. With these start parts, we would like to be able to have all the sizes for each shape loaded into it, so mid design it is easy to change sizes if needed.. Currently, we have start parts set up for these and pull the dimensions from an excel sheet. The problem with this is anytime you start a part, or want to change the size, you have to re-open excel and reload it which is time consuming as there is some bugs in doing this. We tried to do this using family tables and it works, however, we have issues with naming when we try to change sizes. The items in our BOM are populated based off of our item names, and the family tables requires the name to be changed everytime you change sizes. I have a trouble in annotation module. drawing seem to inappropriate resolution. I can not select drawing elements, I can not dimensioning. When I switch modeling screen evreything is ok. Just annotation module resolution is differs.I am awaiting your replies Thank you all  

When I create an arc in 2D, for example of around 960mm in radius, when I then pull the 3D object it does not smoothly follow the arc.  Am I doing something wrong?  This screen shot shows what I mean.  Thank you.  

I am using Creo Elements/Direct License Server 19.0  with Windows server 2008 R2.Is this version compatible with Windows server 2019. ?Has anyone ever installed this version on Windows server 2019 or even 2022. ? I am no longer covered by a maintenance contract and I am looking for version 20.5 of the license server.Can anyone send me a copy of this version ? TY for your help

I am generating hole tables for grand plates. Creo creates table in English but my manufacturing team is Turkish and so they can not understand the type of the holes. I am changing the names manually but it tooks a long time and this is not the real solution. I need to change hole callouts autoamtically.    I need help how to change the hole definitions permanently.      Thank you very much

Hey PTC Community,many students report problems with the quality agent and the embedded browser.Either it says the Quality Agend cannot be initalized or the embedded Browser is not available.  We require the access to the browser to teach the PDM systems to our students.We reinstalled Creo with Admin permissions (with system restart), updated Java, turned off the firewallIs there anything else we can try? Kind regardsArn Joerger
