I am having trouble with the display of Workplanes in my Creo/Elements Direct Modeling. It is as if a shadow or copy of the workplane is displayed along with it - the shadow can not be selected and is not a separate plane. I have tried changing all visibility-related settings in the 3D Object area, Viewport settings, Workplane Properties and Show settings as well. I can not get the duplicate to go away and it is very deceiving when modeling - especially since I normally work with many planes at the same time. The number of planes I am seeing is actually DOUBLE what I should be seeing. Hello, I used to use prodesktop 2000i2 in school and creo elements seems like a more powerful version of this. Is there a way to customize the ribbon of Drafting by Macro ?   I am creating a new tab named DMS which contains groups and buttons to the ribbon and I would like to share it with my colleagues. I need a means, macro or something else, which allows for importing this tab DMS, without doing it by hand. The own customization of my colleagues must not be modified. We are working with Direct Model and Drawing Manager 18.1. As soon as we connect to the server an update is initiated and the updated file gets installed in the folder "username\AppData\Local\PTC\Creo Elements\Direct Model and Drawing Manager 18.1". Additionally a shortcut gets created in the Current user Profile targeting the new executable. My problem ist now: We are using roaming profiles, so the shortcut will roam but the files wont. When a user logs on to a different sytem, he gets an error because of the missing exe file. Is it possible to disable autoupdate? I am conducting a study using the stress analysis features in creo simulate but I can't explain the steps the process is taking. I am using the multi-pass adaptive convergence method using maximum von mises stress as my measurement with a targeted convergence of 1%. I set the minimum P-order to 1 and the maximum P-order to 9.   What I can not explain is why this method is using only 7 passes to calculate a solution. The solution is not converging until the 9th order bias functions so it is not stopping because it has converged.   I would expect the method to run a pass for each polynomial order and increase those elements that have not yet converged until the maximum p-order is reached or all elements have converged. The method appears to be skipping a couple of these passes for the 3rd and 5th polynomial order.   I have attached the run status summary file from my analysis. It can be seen that the second pass uses 2nd order functions and the third pass jumps to 4th orde

Hi!   I need to find the principal stresses direction for 12 models. Is there any easy way to do?   I am working with creo elements 5.0 M190   I study the model with the measure points and obtain the principal stress. Now I need its direction too.     I have the direction for one model see attachment. The direction of the highest arrow is not along the principal direction X, Y or Z? Also the direction means kind of angles I think but there is no any reading about the stress directions. Can anyone help with this? Hi All!   This is just to add to the conversations that I have seen here about a mess in the product naming from PTC:   I got a request to have "proe" installed in one of the areas - we are on CreoPro 2.0, so, I went to that area and installed the current version. Than, I got e-mail from the user, saying that the vendor is not on CreoPro 2.0, but on the CreoPro 1.0 ( in reality, he was told that the vendor company is on the "first" version of creo). So, I said: No problem. Downloaded CreoPro1.0 and went and installed it in that area. Than, I got another e-mail from the user, saying that the vendor ment to say that they are on Wildfire 5.0 m130. I went to PTC download site and the "Most recent datecode" of Wildfire 5.0 is m060, but Creo/Elements Pro 5.0 has m130, which I have downloaded and am going to install it. Keeping my fingers crossed that I guessed what user has requested.   I understand, that it is partially "broken phone" between my users, vendor and me. But all

Hallo allerseits.   Direkt nach dem Starten von Creo Elements Direct Modelling Express 4 M010 kommt es zu o.g. Fehler. Zusammen mit einer weiteren Fehlermeldung "Fehler bei Aktion create_vp/signal/sigsegv". Dass meist der Grafikkartentreiber daran schuld ist, konnte ich schon in Erfahrung bringen. Die Software läuft auf einem Lenovo L520 Notebook mit Intel HD Graphics unter Windows 7 32bit - also auch nicht unbedingt um ein Noname-Produkt. Ich habe über das Lenovo Systemupdate die aktuellen Grafiktreiber installiert, der Fehler besteht jedoch weiterhin. Just starting with Creo 2.0 and when I open an existing Manufacturing file, the model tree only shows the Operations. The individual Sequences that make up the Operation do not appear, as they did in Creo Elements / Pro 5.0. I am sure that this is something that is very simple to get, but I just can't find the right thing to select to make it happen right now. We have a simple model (plate with hole)   It has 2 loadsets, Loadset 1 and Loadset 2.   We create and save the mesh   We then carry out a linear static study first with loadset 1 - Analysis1. Then with Loadset 2 - Analysis2. i.e. 2 distinct analyses (not summed or combined).   and the constraints are unchanged   The saved mesh is reused and therefore we now have 2 results directories with consistent mesh.   We can then carry out a fatigue analyis using the results from analysis 1 and then 'append' a fatigue analysis using results from analysis 2.   (sometimes loads move about, hence 2 analyses. The real study requires many more load positions than 2 but this is keeping it simple and manually debug-able using the ascii output)   Now a description of the problem encountered ...   The h-element section of the .neu files, first 6 elements:   h-elements 840   Analysis1             1 6 22884 23759 2375

In proe wildfire 4.0 I have used the option "use model in tree" for highlighting a view by clicking on model tree. For blanking, unblanking, changing style into phantom etc. this option was useful. Now I am working on creo elements/pro. But here I can't find that option. I am facing difficulty in detailing due to this. So let me get this straight with the naming. Wildfire5 stopped atm060, and creo elements Pro started at m065? Is that correct? So Creoelements pro is the exact same as WF5, other than the name?Here we have now spent a couple months time testing the "most recent"version of WF5 (as listed in the downloads page), and turns out itsolder than dirt, after all of our testing was approved. (well, we dohave some issues) And I still dont know if Creo Elements is the sameas WF5. Go live date is almost here, I cant just throw on the latestCreo elements without the team redoing the months of testing scriptsagain. To name a new release something different, I suppose thats OK. Hallo zusammen, ich bin noch am experementieren mit creo elements und habe mir ein 3D Modell erstellt (Box mit Klappe).Ich wollte nun eine Konfiguration erstellen die die Klappe öffnet und schließt.Wenn ich nun die Klappe durch dynamisches positionieren öffne, dreht sich die Achse sauber in der Lagerbohrung.Beim betätigen der Konfiguration allerdings läuft die Achse exzentrisch aus der Bohrung hinaus (also quer durch das Teil) und kurz vor Endposition der Klappe wieder in diese hinein.Was mache ich falsch?   Gruß Stefan SchäferThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I am running a multipass analysis set to converge within 5%. I am confused about what exactly the RMS stress error Estimates is tellling me. When I run my analysis I get what looks like a very large stress error.....   RMS Stress Error Estimates:   Load Set Stress Error % of Max Prin Str ---------------- ------------ ----------------- Load-Rear 5.06e+04 65.4% of 7.73e+04   Local Stress Error Estimates:   Load Set &nb sp; Stress Error max over max over model selected elements ---------------- ------------ ----------------- Load-Rear 111.4% 0.0%   Yet it also says this:   The analysis converged to within 5% on edge displacement, element strain energy, and global RMS stress.   Measure convergance is really tight except Von Mises which is slightly above 10%. Hallo Zusammen,   nach einigen Erfahrungen mit ProE habe ich mich jetzt an Creo Elements versucht. Leider hänge ich zu obigem Thema etwas. Die einfache Aufgabe, eine Platte mit mehreren Nuten mit von einander abhängigen Tiefen zu kreieren kann ich zwar umsetzen, jedoch bekomme ich die Abhängigkeit der Tiefe nicht hin.   Mein Ziel eine(n) Abhängigkeit/Parameter zu definieren über den ich alle Nutentiefen gemeinsam steuern kann klappt nicht. Auch beim seitlichen Versetzen der Nute muss ich jeweils beide Seitenwände der Nute ansteuern. Part and workplane vanish in viewport. Part shows up when I rotate with scroll button and disappears when I mouse over. It will highlight individual surfaces as I mouse over leaving the rest of the part invisible.   I am using a Dell Vostro, Vista Business, Intel X7900 Extreme, and GM965 Express Chipset. Hopefully I put this in the right category. Still new to this planet ptc.   I am working on an iPhone 4s model in Creo Elements Pro and was playing around with the scenery a little and wondered if it was possible to make not just the floor reflective but also the walls too. I am investigating the pull-off behavior of epoxy nodules bonded to a thin layer of silicone elastomer. There is a sharp ~90 degree corner around the epoxy-silicone junction. The epoxy is pulled perpendicular to the plane of the silicone. With an elastomer, an elasto-plastic analysis is not very suitable to handle the singularity / theoretically infinite stress in the corner.   I've seen a similar study using h-elements that had a nice method to deal with the singularity. That method used finer and finer elements in the corner to progressively simulate stress vs. distance from corner. Based on results from very fine meshes, they choose a coarser mesh that would reliably find the stress 5 microns away from the corner. I've tried this with Mechanica (WF 5.0) with some success, but the p-elements give a oscillatory stress that makes interpretation of the real stress curve difficult (see pic attached). With h-elements, as the corner is approached, finer meshes simply cause the stress
